I served 15 years in the army, now the found I have baseline skin cancer, the doctor the ENT doctor told me to just wait to get it removed because they had one doctor to do the procedure and since it was slow growing I could wait for later. I told him I wanted it removed they gave me an appointment to later cancel it because the doctor went on vacation. cancer still there!

When I was in Army Basic Training, I suffered severe stress fractures from running. I ignored not only my platoon Drill Sgt but every Drill Sgt in my command who accused me of malingering. I went to the TMC and ended up getting an MRI which showed my injuries. I took my medical report back to my Drill Sgt and First Sgt. They never said anything afterwards. I didn't care about how they perceived me. I was taking care of MY BODY. I suffered a few more injuries that affected my shoulders and knees. Army PT at that time was ridiculous. So many soldiers suffered from overuse PT. I couldn't take it anymore so before my ETS date, I transferred to the Air Force. After 14yrs of service I was medically discharged. I kept my medical records and submitted them along with my medical documents from my civilian doctors to the VA and as of 2023 my disability rating is 80%. I filed for secondary claims recently and I'm just waiting for their decision.

My dumbass ignored my wife for years while I was AD, telling me she thought I had sleep apnea. I woke up out of breath and ignored her snoring complaints. I walked around like a zombie for years. Fast forward to 13 years post retirement when my doc talks me into a sleep study that shows I do have sleep apnea. This CPAP has been a huge help. While I'm still an insomniac, at least I sleep solidly with the CPAP. No disability for me yet but this gives me hope.

I use community care as much as possible because VA primary care doctors aren't doctors and in my experience often don't seem to take you seriously when you tell them about health concerns. They omit details of your visit and I've found other people's notes in my records. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Not a Trump fan but I appreciate what he did for veterans!

Hey Jordan good luck with your "business" 😅 Project 2025 proposes to have the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs cut costs by having fewer health conditions qualify veterans for disability benefits - a proposal could greatly restrict disabled veterans' access to life- sustaining benefits.

Thats why you dont depend on government. Majority of veterans just dont want to work or make a business and try to cheat the system. While the true vets who dont complain what the government is doing or expect anything but to be left alone are getting after it everyday.

Whatever you do, be aware to have a basic understanding of what Project 2025 has to do with VA benefits. Who is endorsing it and why is important to either support it or repell it and how to do either or. Is very important to be informed because is going to impact every single veteran.

The message seems like a lot of vague promises without a clear plan on how to achieve them. Think of it this way: in the service, there was always that high-speed individual who had all the schools, was a PT stud, and looked great on paper but never managed Soldiers or knew how to take care of them. Despite this, he always got promoted. Meanwhile, the one with all the hands-on experience with Soldiers, who was actually there doing the job while the other was in school, never got promoted. Would you rather have someone who has real experience in dealing with foreign policy and people, or someone who just looks good on paper?

Theres a few things that should have been highlighted in this video: 1. Project 2025 has a very bleak perspective regarding VA changes that will negatively impact millions of veterans. The verbiage implies that the disability claims process will be reevaluated and become more stringent thus stripping veterns of earned disability and making it very difficult to attain disability for those that have not yet applied. 2. The Heritage Foundation has provided guidelines for conservative president for decades. It is approximated that each republican president has adopted 60% of the outlined legislation throughout their respective term (Like Project 2025). Trump implemented 60% of the Heritage Foundations guidelines in his first year of his term. This is cited from the Heritage Foundation website. 3. The fact that Trump denied affiliation with the Heritage Foundation is a slap in the face of Americans. He has been cited from speeches in his first term thanking the Heritage Foundation and expressing their contribution openly. 4. For a man who can be considered an habitual liar and now knowing the Heritage Foundations true impact and involvement, id caution veterans and all Americans from supporting another Trump presidency.

27Jun, I submitted for uppgrades and adding a few other things. On 5Jul...I got the first of 2 calls to schedule my appointments. This morning I got called for the balance of my appointments. I have 3 appointments this week! Mind you, it is not a complete win. The 2 reasons are: I forgot to upload my personal statements when I filed on the 27. the other, completely separate...at the end/beginning of last year/this year, they kicked off my wife and one of our kids of the payments. It took from January to June to add them back on. It would have been much easier to do that than anything else they had.
