    18? It was 39 years for me because of the USMC "Never complain, EVER!" culture & thus no nexus to any injuries (except one) that I did get 20% for...after 39 years!

      I feel you, veterans are getting benefits for issues I have, but it wasn't diagnosed back then.
      Sleep apnea for starters!

      I'm a US Marine, and you shouldn't of bought into their BS. If you're injured, you're injured. That's on you for being a coward and not taking care of yourself. It's not that hard to walk yourself down to BAS.

    My Medical Records were lost, they sent me a letter telling me they were destroyed in a fire.. problem is that fire was in 1973, I was 3 years old then. I have fought with the VA since the month I got out of service, but with no medical records they used that as an excuse to just dismiss me. I just filed for an upgrade for a back issue that was caused by the military. The DBQ states that I am unable to work and should not work due to limited movement and pain, and the VA decided that oh well we will give him the bare minimum at40% a raise from what I was of 20%. They gave me 10% for my tinnitus and say I am near deaf in my left ear but that's not service connected, I don't get how it can not be or how to prove them wrong to challenge them. SO I am currently at 50% disability, and dont get me wrong I am grateful, but I feel as if I am just being paid off and told to go away. Here is your crumb now go die some place.. that is the feeling the VA leaves me with.

    I'm currently rated at 90% with a combined rating 93% static through all 8 of my claims which are of course service connected. I recently did an intent to file on 2-2-24 and I'm doing my homework. Filing claims by get my diagnosis first in service events /service connected, DBQ's, C&P exams and making sure I attend my VA appointments. I originally started with 10% back in February 1999. Hopefully I will get an increase 💯 đŸ’¶ p/t . Time âČ will tell.

    I was denied for pes planus as a direct service connection in 1997. I recently tried filing for pes planus as secondary to my knee condition. I downloaded my VA medical notes and found that I was diagnosed with pes planus 6/12/89 while on active duty. I was again denied in 2024. The decision letter stated “Your service treatment records do not contain complaints, treatment, or diagnosis for this condition. It sounds like a coverup to me. What can I do about it???

    I finally got the National Archives to release my medical records to me. I was turned down for tinnutis,sinusitis,IBS, back in August '23 filed a supplemental claim in November and they finally sent my medical records 2 weeks ago Only 8 pages of in-service medical records and I'll be damned, 7 of 8 pages have complaints for ringing in the ears for more than 2 weeks, sinus problems after sinus problems and complaints of excessive diarrhea. Of course, I highlighted everything and turned it in. I'm still waiting to hear back from our wonderful gubberment that likes to hide everything from you and deny deny deny until you die.

    Jordan - what is your recommendation when the VA requests your Civilian medical records? Even though I provided them all the records that shows diagnosis for the claims I filed for, they requested access to all records (21-4142/a). I read the forms they sent me, and it says right on it that "if" I am going to submit all of my civilian medical records there is no need to send the form to give them access.

      @mrm1521 Pƙed 3 měsĂci +1

      Don't submit that form because it will add about 120 days to your claim. You can just upload all of your medical evidence at one time...

    If a veteran originally denied back by the VA. Submitted a new claim for Radiculopathy with supplemental claim for other back conditions. Received a letter stated a 20-0995 needs to be submitted. Is that the correct form. VA stated the new claim was submitted on the wrong claim form.

    What if my Decision letter said I only met 1 of 3 elements of Direct service connection (which is crap!), but it said "We are requesting an examination to determine your current level of disability" Does this mean I will be re-examined?
