Another great vacation saver that I have used often in Mexico. Is the Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC). You get a complete week at a luxurious hotel for very little. My wife and I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for a week at 300 dollars. The rooms alone were that much per night. And again in Mazatlan. They have time shares all over the world. You can even gift a week vacation to a friend or family member.

We not only get free entry to national parks, and most state parks, we also get rentals for half price. I went camping and was able to get the biggest campsite slip, cabin rentals, etc. at half price. Early June my family and I went to Fort Pickens National Park for 10-nights. The price is normally $40 per night. But for us disabled veterans we paid only $20 per day/night. And the beaches there, Pensacola, Florida are the best.

I think that I’m facing an issue that many others are or will experience. I’m 50% service connected, when I should be at 100, but that’s for a later discussion lol.
I used VR&E from 2011-2016. When I accepted the program, my counselor told me that I had to forfeit my GI:Bill to use VR&E, which I accepted since the latter is better. I decided to go back to school this and use VR&E again, but was denied because I’m employed. The case worker told me I could use my GI:Bill; that shocked me, so I looked into it and sure enough it was usable after VR&E, but it expired in 2022. Now, I’m fighting to have my benefits reinstated for another degree and this sucks, because they keep denying it. 😢 I’d have continued my debt free education if I knew that I could have used my GIBill after earning my last degree.
Do you help with these type cases too?

I want student loans forgiveness I’m 80% static and the reason I am in debt is because they changed the post 9/11 GI Bill, and they stopped paying us for 36 months straight to only paying when you were enrolled in a certain amount of classes per semester. Totally screwed me over.
I had to take out loans to pay the rent and wasn’t notified of the change until I went to my VA rep at my university.

    Two questions:
    1. If you live in CA and are rated at 100%, your children can go to any cal state or state university for free?
    2. What is the property tax benefit if you are rated at 100% in CA and your home is worth $1.2M (purchased @ $800k)?
