All of this needs to be removed from the bill and get down to taking care of the veterans and need to cut the upper leadership in the VA.

When I went to Army, boot camp we were told by old timers that if you’re injured in service you go on sick call and DOCUMENT whatever was wrong with you. Some of my service connected juries were reported to a lesser degree from the ridicule some of the vets went through. I learned the hard way, if an injury wasn’t documented it never happened. In my 1st attempt it took two years to go from no % to 10% S/C disability. After fighting another 17 years I went from 10% to 70% S/C rating. Then it took several more years to go from 70% to 100% S/C disability. This was about 2014. Then it took another year before I received my P/T (permanent & Total) letter from VA.
I remember VA hiring medical contractors to perform C&P exams on vets due to the back log of vets filing service connected claims. Honestly, some of those contracted medical doctors didn’t understand the VA system and I firmly believe to this day that vets were delayed in receiving their full rating in a prompt time frame.

when you are discharge your medical officer who did the phyical will give yo the final result on a official form that is the form you will use to file your claim best to go to a vso in order to so not the va dr anyway you will go to a c and p exam the examiner will send the report and other documentation to rating folks they look up your conditions via the cfr cfr 38
It's funny it took me 400 days to get an 80% . Then, another 5 months to get a 90% and the most important when I got surgery with the V.A hospital I got 100% with Permanent and Total.

I served 15 years in the army, now the found I have baseline skin cancer, the doctor the ENT doctor told me to just wait to get it removed because they had one doctor to do the procedure and since it was slow growing I could wait for later. I told him I wanted it removed they gave me an appointment to later cancel it because the doctor went on vacation. cancer still there!
All my treatment appointments are 40 + days out...

Anyone that would go to the VA for an abortion or a sex change would be insane anyway. They don’t perform either one of those at all, let alone on a regular basis……. So he is vetoing a nothing burger. Also, no ER can turn you away if you walk in the front door. They can say they don’t have a bed and board you in the ER. Or if you are in an ambulance they can divert you if they have no beds and then have to pay for your outside ER visit.
They arent allowed to legally however they did. Yes that is illegal but just like criminals the va doesn't always follow the law.
They may not turn you away, but they will let you sit there & die. Won’t even take your temperature.

He didnt say what kind of hospital it was. Private hospitals are allowed to turn you away from the ER if you are in "stable" condition. If not, and you dont have a certain type of accepted insurance, all they have to do is to stablize you before sending you on your way. "Stable Contion", only means that your vital signs are with in acceptable limits.
Nothing in our budget is a priority to these people unless it's for Ukraine.

So, if you retire and have a VA benefit over 50%, which means you get both. They want that to stop. It's either VA or pension. Not both. So screw you for doing 20 or more, and your knees don't work. Your back is jacked, and you got blown up once or twice. Screw you, pension or VA . Not both. Republicans are really looking out for the troops.... 🚫

What turned me off to the VA: I was sick, sick enough to be admitted to the hospital. My dad & my wife brought me to the va hospital. I couldn’t walk, so they rolled me in on a wheel chair. I had no clue. I just had my dd214 & nothing else. They had me fill out some papers, then let me sit there for hours. They didn’t even take my temperature. It wasn’t like they were busy. There weren’t many people in the waiting room. I told my dad to get out of there. They were going to let me die. Went to another hospital & due to my pulse not being detectable, I was admitted immediately.
Same thing here, went to a VA senior Dr in wound care and he couldn't be bothered to.look at my leg, 4 days later he sent a VA paid van to pick me up for emergency admit.still here 1.5 yrs later.can't walk.

Don’t forget about those who are retiring. So, you have spots open which causes scheduling restrictions on veterans and this funding absolutely makes sense but executive pay increases are a joke
I am a former County Veteran Service Officer from Ohio. I left in 2013. I remember being at large conferences that VA Representatives would come and speak. 2007 through 2013 multiple times a year at these conferences THE VA STATED THE EXACT SAME THING ABOUT BEING BEHIND WITH CLAIMS, NOT ENOUGH EMPLOYEES TO GET THE JOB DONE, telling
Us to please be patient that they there were hiring as many claims examiners as they could, please be patient as it could take a year or longer to get these employees trained up to par. Doesn’t this sound familiar? We were told that every year and multiple times a year at conferences. You had about 500 County Veteran Service Officers go crazy on the VA rep speaking. Now this was supposed to be just relative to our VA Regional Offices issues. Come on? We all know this is and has been a Nationwide issue Each and every year. I have been out of the loop since I took a retirement due to my service connection disabilities in 2013. And each and every year I am just so upset to see the VA saying the exact same damn thing as they did almost 20 years ago. Oh, we are behind because we need to hire more employees. Oh, ok? That’s the reason huh? It’s like nobody can hold them accountable and say enough is enough with your B.S. I worked in County Government my entire adult life. 2 different agencies and of course one being County Veteran Services. When I became a CVSO I said, where else would you have county representatives be expected to complete all the paperwork and documentation for a Federal agency? I think you’d be hard pressed to find this scenario under any other circumstances.

I do as well. I went off in the town hall meeting about how they stole that money, how we are under paid, and how the VA hire us veterans. The best way for us to be hired at the VA is through environmental services. All of those that stole that PACT money need to be fired.

I think that’s a matter of opinion. I prefer the VA over community care. Community care is not always thorough and are in it for the money. Be cautious because the VA is not all bad. And no I don’t work for them. Veterans need to learn how to speak up and play a major role in their healthcare. There’s nothing wrong with voicing your opinion and expectations. But let’s stop bashing the VA as a whole. Nothing is perfect but the VA is there for the veterans. I’m sick of civilians trying to tell me about the VA. If you really dig deep some of them think veterans shouldn’t get these benefits. You have a lot of those people with that mentality working for the VA.

i had a va physc come into my room while a inpatient at the va hosp whe was mean flat out mean no professionality whats so ever she wanted me out i went off on her and trust me i did i told her she has no authority to oust me but i gave her the ole texas two step only the primay doc can discharge me i know for no reason she did not like me another situation was i went to a shrink on my own to ask for and take a compentcy test did a brief interview with the shrink he goes the vba might turn down the request well he called me up and said the shrink who can conduct such a test turned it down and notated it in my medical record it is my suspicison that she did not want to work or or do the job she is being paid to do most employess are afirican american they are lazy anywa even the field service officer thinks am incompenten the va will steal your rightful benifits and give it to someone else therefore the va should be dismantle they are crooks period
So efficiency for the end user would mean significantly reducing executive bonuses and not putting money into lifestyle choices. Also the regime is seeking to disarm veterans by having the VA report veterans that need fiduciary assistance to the NICS as a flag to halt firearm purchases.

There isn’t anything wrong with the VA facility in Elpaso Texas they remodeled everything and it is attached to the old William Beaumont hospital that was totally revamped and added onto before building of the new William Beaumont hospital. Now there going to build a new clinic near the WBMH .
I also go to the El Paso VA. Very good quality care, I have no complaints, but it is hard getting benefits. I always informed service members to go to Sick Call and to photograph their records afterwards so that it can be easier to file a claim when they leave the military.

If funding is an issue. Why the VA keep vuilding new building and infrastructure? They need to do better in managing the budget.
