I would probably just get some sheets of thick MDF to build a floor, then drill some holes through the frame or use some brackets and bolt the frame down to the floor. You could then build your own solution for strengthening the shifter by making use of the MDF floor. Way back in the day this is what I did to remove any flex in my Vision Racer VR3 rig and I covered the wooden bits in carbon fiber wrap. You could definitely make this into a decent rig with some ingenuity, question is will you be happy. If chances are you will likely want to upgrade your wheel and pedals at some point then you might as well just buy the cheapest 8020 rig and a cheap second hand seat that you can find. Upgrades are much easier if you have a very solid base to begin with, that's what I learn't the hard way.

The asetek and dd+ are so snappy it's something that's different I had to get used to it. Its like when you turn quick back ND forth the wheel snaps back which is awesome for quick turning. But the forces also center forces def push back which is a cool effect and helos with alot of details. Most will have to adapt to the feeling of centering these bases have. Where it feels like its actually pushing back agaisnt you to center instead of just feeling heavy or harder to turn. But it's also what allows those details imo.. the biggest thing I've felt with these bases are the changes when yoyr car is hurt or ahvign tire issues or suspension issues and more. You can feel how complex they are with sll the changes in each race you so. They are consistent but the changes make them seem not consistent with feel when in reality it's them telling you everything that's Going on. It never gets boring because of it.

Unfortunately, I am very unhappy with Cammus' warranty service. I purchased a C5, which developed a defect after just over 1 month of use. Cammus sent me another unit and asked me to pay the customs duties and I paid. Now, when it comes to refunding, Cammus is informing them that the fees are higher than they can pay. I am really disappointed with Cammus and at this moment I am not thinking about purchasing anything else from the brand, and I will strongly recommend to the virtual pilot community that they do not buy either.

I'm torn between the fanatec one and this. I think the fanatec will be more rigid, definitely looks better and will fit my particular setup better but for the same price this one comes with an adjustable seat which is also on a rail, unlike the fanatec setup that has no seat and is hard mounted. I hope Boosted Media can somehow get their hands on one since Fanatec doesn't want them to review it for whatever reason!

When it comes to the company Pimax I´ve learned a new lesson: Don´t you ever preorder and buy a fresh released Pimax VR headset. I had similar issues with pimax just like you and the first one (Pimax 8k x) didn´t show a picuture anymore after using it for 4 weeks.I had to wait three weeks to get a new one and dealing with the customer service is just painful because i had to send them too many pictures which haven´t something to do with the damage of the headset. Just an anooying process which make ii for me harder than it had to be. But i found out that pimax always promise more things that they actually deliver on release. The missing features have to wait for a lot of months which is for customers who are paying for a premium product a lot of money not acceptable. We are not their unpaid employees for qualtiy assurance. And the things that they delivered are not working porperly which is a sign of a product that hasn´t been fully tested before the release. So I´d rather pay more for an Varjo Aeero which met my expections perfectly. Thank you for sharing your experience to us. :)

I love fanatec, that's what I run, but it's true their shipping and customer service is terrible. To make things worse, there is no way to call them at all. Edit: I have the standard black formula wheel that he showed for a second and the csl dd 2oth boost kit, load cell kit. I made the switch to the QR2 system but I got 2 of the QR2 lites. Had to modify one to make it work with the formula wheel but the csl p1 wheel was fine but honestly they feel better once they are mounted but when you go to remove the wheel the lite version is very clunky when you're pulling it off. Doesn't have a good feel going on or off actually. I ordered the QR2 next up in quality which is actually metal instead of the lite version's infused plastic or whatever and it is night and day. The lite will get you by but the extra $40 is worth it to me. Lastly the formula wheels use magnetic shifters idk why he said otherwise in this video but he correctly says it in his other vids.

I have been looking at Simagic P2000R Pedals, Alpha Ultimate Base, GT Pro Wheel, FX Pro Wheel, DS-8X shifter. Everyone willl he worrying and fanstec support and even one of the testers doesnt even undrrstand the servo motor and whst they sound like so they will just be like sure yesh elts rma it. Then 3 bases later the person may finally realize oh alright this must be normal even if fanatec support cant tell them it is lol.

Reminds me of a higher end mclaren gt3 v2 wheel. The original sound of the paddles sounds 10x better. I hate silent paddles. It isnt important as some say its 50/50 many want sound many dont but it isnt oh most want dampened because that isnt true. Now what people do like anout the dampened ones is the feel. But the OG wheel you compared it to sounds so much better. About perfect I would be bummed spending this much and getting no souns from my paddles. I want to hear and feel the tactility. Most i talk to feel the same way. Most acrually dont wsnt silent ones. They just dont want it so loud it over rides everything else. But ive yet to meet but a few peoppe that want silent paddles.

I’m looking to get into my first setup. I googled this and can’t find anything. I don’t have a super deep grasp of components so I’m wondering does this work with the Fanatec Podium Hub? I saw a review on the hub and they said the connector’s USB but it’s proprietary so you can’t plug it into a PC. I’d love to get this with the Fanatec Porsche Podium Rally Module.

Looks nice, sucks they don't offer it with quad paddles - as other people already mentioned. Or at least have made it where you could buy the extra paddles and attach them yourself. I like the branding personally, I have a few pairs of AMG driving shoes, but I'm planning to get the NLR Ford GT cockpit. So even if I wanted to go overboard with the immersion it would still end up being a fail for me lol. I like the Fanatec BMW M4 GT3 wheel even more, but it's almost twice the price. And even if I could afford that, I'd still be stuck with a Ford GT cockpit mixed with a BMW wheel. And of course, nobody makes a Ford GT wheel, that would make too much sense lol. So maybe I'll just buy a generic cockpit and a few different generic wheel types so I have the different genres covered.

I was just about to pull the trigger on the 8nm fanatec csl dd, no having done a little bit more research, I'm honestly leaning towards simagic. I definitely can't afford the 12nm fanatec it's literally double the price of the alpha mini ( at least in south africa, R15k vs R30k.). And from. What I understand those p1000 pedals are on another level. Also the gts wheel from simagic is slightly smaller (300mm vs 320mm) and slightly lighter than the BMW m3 gt2 v2 wheel i was looking at from Fanatec.. Might consider the alpha as it's still cheaper than the cs dd 😅
