For the Truck Sim enthusiast or curious, the MOZA Racing TSW Truck Simulator Wheel certainly stands out!
This 400mm round wheel is the first purpose-built Truck Sim steering wheel from a major sim racing manufacturer. For those already invested in a Sim Racing ecosystem, the TSW wheel seamlessly integrates with your current MOZA setup or easily converts to other wheelbases with their adaptor kit. They have also come up with a clever wheel base mount to get an authentic truck wheel position on a table or cockpit.
So is the TSW Truck Simulator Wheel an obvious choice for Truck Sim enthusiasts? Does it bring enough to the table to dive into Truck Sims for the first time?
We took a close look at the Moza Racing TSW Truck Wheel and jumped in the big rig for a drive to find out!

Gotta hand it to moza for seeing a gap in the market with the truck sim community
Aye its a big market indeed, between euro and American truck sim there 30k people average per day. Clever from moza that
@@DAGATHirenot only that but farming simulator as well which has a huge community and few wheels for that purpose.
@@Gizfreek aye, isn't there that kinda toy looking wheel for farming sim? saw it on YT at some point. Looked fairly toy-ish tho.
@@DAGATHire Logitech make one.
@@Coops383 Ahh ye! thats the one im thinking of. No Force feedback. spring loaded. plastic toy.
Should have guessed it was logitech 🤣
It's funny to think how many people play semi truck driving sims for a company to notice and make a wheel.
TBF, ATS and ETS2 player base only keeps on rising.
I tried ETS2, and it was enjoyable and fun :D
Ummm truck sims are far more popular than any racing sim.
In other words: "Why took you so goddamn long?"
Yep. ETS2 and ATS have been out since 2012, and are still going strong. That is pretty unusual for a game. Regular updates, lots of mods. It will be around for some time to come, especially if there is now specific hardware to enhance it
I think it's fantastic that a company has released stuff for trucks
Cant wait for the first video of someone doing F1 with this wheel..
Sounds like a Jimmy Broadbent challenge coming up:-).
Definitely interested in that attachment that adds all the stalks. That's the cleanest most realistic setup yet. Amazing work by Moza.
I got one from Amazon. Definitely a little sub-par but was one of the better options available. They're useful even on iRacing. Sports cars make good use of the wiper stalk now :D
That’s pretty cool to be honest. There have been truck sim enthusiasts who have asked for such a thing in comments many a time I’ve read. I hope this makes them happy. Well done Moza. 👏
That NRG style racing quick release on a massive truck wheel looks absolutely wild
Sooo, i was thinking of what ecosystem to go in for sims, but i think moza just made it the easiest choice ever for me with this.
All Moza need to do now, is to create a splitter and range addapter for the shifters and they win the market.
For me it was a toss up last year between Moza and Fanatec. I went with Fanatec in the end because of the price, availability (ha ha! it took 2 months for it to arrive) and broad ecosystem. Had I known then that this truck wheel was coming out, I would have gone with Moza without a shadow of a doubt. As already posted, I’m now going to move over to Moza and sell all my Fanatec gear.
They teased a shifter adapter in a photo.
I'm planning on buying a DD wheel and I gotta be honest, Moza is really winning me over. The same can't be said about Fanatec.
Ever considered Simagic? Or at least some of their stuff like the handbrakes/shifters and the pedals?
Well if you are only choosing between those brands I can tell you that when it comes to the overall feel and performance the actual force feedback is better with Fanatec especially the newer models. Of course that comes with all the Fanatec issues with delivery and customer service at the moment though. I've always gotten my stuff pretty reasonably
As someone who has owned Fanatec and currently Simagic, Simagic is significantly better.
@@Spotter- for sure, only fanatecs new bases really compate to simmagics. Both are still better than Moza imo
@@limpetarch98k now I am. Thanks.
I’ve only recently got into the truck and off road driving sim stuff. I find it amazingly good fun and really relaxing. I looked into bigger sims wheels or adapting a real wheel, but in the end I just went ahead last week and ordered one of these instead, especially since they are bringing out the multi-function stalks later this year (June?) to compliment the wheel.
So many people play truck sims. I believe from another video that if you look at the stats from Steam, typically, there are more people playing ETS/ATS at any given time, than all the racing sims combined. It is therefore a big untapped market and I think Moza are going to claim a huge chunk of it this year. Good on Moza for innovating. They have got even more of my business as I’m selling my Fanatec kit and moving over to Moza lock, stock and barrel.
i play ATS since day 1 and love it but if you think there are more people playing ATS/ETS than iracing ,sorry to say you are mistaken .
@@ricardoa1661no, they’re right. iRacing averages 200 players concurrent. As of 5 minutes ago, there were 32000 people playing ETS concurrent.
@@evanneff7776 where are you seeing these numbers ?
@@evanneff7776 the race i am in right now has more lobbies open for one race and populated than that 200
@@evanneff7776 a quick google search shows 80k daily players for iracing and peak users for ATS in FEBRUARY was 11k
HELL YEAAHHH BROTHER!!!
I've been waiting for your review. You are awesome.
Moza are absolute Legends :D
just wish that the Moza logo read "Moza Trucking" instead of "Racing", but I'm not complaining.
Couldnt do it without getting in an argument with Mark Zuckerberg 😅
@@filipivan5125 what?
Or Truck Racing 😊
@@user-qb5bd3kc6v well, Formula Truck used to be a somewhat popular Motorsport category in Brazil.
in the thrustmaster ecosystem rn i need to switch ASAP!
i went from a thrustmaster tmx to a moza r5 ... i regret nothing 😁
I saved up and got the moza wheelbase and pedals from a thrustmaster TSXW and the thrustmaster loadcell pedals. its night and day.
Coolest product I’ve seen in a long time!!
I'm not into trucks, but you are amazing at reviewing stuff. Keep it up!
Way to theme the whole video Will haha the intro music and the trucker hat is spot on haha
Very well done by moza. This wheel with the adapter & tobii eye tracker, immersion plus!
I have been oogling this wheel for months! thank you for covering it
been waiting for this video since it was announced
10:40
there's typically two horns, a quiet city horn that sounds like normal cars
then the famous air horn on a separate button or some type of switch
that table clamp is a cool idea
Finally, truck simulator! 😮 I'm interested in the stalks that may come out though
this is such a great idea and moza killing it again but man i hope they release a smaller 300-320mm version of this wheel for street cars, love just doing some regular driving in beamng and stuff and something like this with buttons for indicators and stuff would be a game changer
You had me with the hat! 🤣
I hope that this becomes big enough that competition comes out with their own trucking wheels.
From what I've heard, they're also planning on releasing a wiper stalk add-on for the wheel. Looking forward to seeing how that turns out!
it's good that the desk adapter can technically be used in both regular set up and the vertical
The trucker music had me cracking up
Sweet! It's about time.
gonna love to use this in ETS 2
Hopefully other companies take note and expand their product catalogs aswell, well done Moza.
Kind of want to try it with the trucks in
AMS2
Well now i know what wheel system i will buy into next
Modern trucks like the Volvo FH16 that i drive, have an integrated electric motor on the steering gear, that's working with the hydraulic steering, so feels kinda like a DD wheel, you can set the resistance you want, for a heavy or light steering feel, so it's like driving a modern car with a huge wheel.
I feel like this wheel might also be the best option for a street racing experience and I've been thinking about getting it for that
I just Wish Fanatec released new products like this
I hope the car bus connector on the new DD wheelbases will be compatible with modern car equipment like indicator levers, automatic drive selectors, etc...
Moza is actually genius with this one
the fact they even are making things like these means in 10 years the hobby will be so much farther than it is now... Good on ya Moza
I'm certainly an outlier, and I'm sure the majority of sim racers don't agree, but I for one would love a smaller diameter version of this wheel with the same button layout and wheel design. I play a lot of BeamNG/AC and enjoy driving in not very supped-up, track-focused race cars, and spend most of my time is unmodified street cars (No Hesi not withstanding). I would love a sim wheel that mimics the layout and design of a modern, regular street car steering wheel, with multi-function buttons. I have an R5 base with the 11" ES wheel (12" wheel rim is on the way), and would love a 12-13" wheel that is either the exact same or very similar in design and button layout to this truck wheel. I don't play ATS/ETS2 enough to justify this nearly 16" diameter wheel, but man a smaller version would be amazing.
Nice wheel and the compatibility with e.g. Fanatec is really cool. Hope you review the Wiper accessory as well. Interesting to see if it is also Fanatec "compatible".
this could be useful for simulating a cramped sprint car interior and with the indicator stalks could be an ok street driving/cruising wheel
Now I wonder and hopefully Moza will make a motion platform next
MOZA THE BEST! Respect!
Moza is killing it right now! They listen to their community and release competitively priced products and have such a range of wheelbases for all budgets/needs. I love that they have a hub so you can use their wheels with other bases but beware, the hub requires 2 USB ports, one for data and one for power. That detail is not well publicized so keep that in mind.
I was watching The Simpit's review of this wheel and he mentions way more adjustability to the RPM LEDs with things like flag/telemetry LEDs. So as someone who may not be interested in this wheel but definitely the Moza ecosystem that looks very interesting, but I haven't been able to find mention of this anywhere else.
I also remember a couple months ago some sale promo photos from Moza's social media that had renders of the FSR with individual RPM LEDs instead of the gradient. Whether that will happen or not (I hope it will) it looks like Moza is moving away from the gradient RPM bar to individual LEDs (see KS, RS V2P, CS V2P, and TSW) EDIT: Upon checking the Moza website they have the renders of the FSR as well as the same thing with the RS V2.
Would love to see a video on your real life car(s)
I'm only 0:44 seconds in but I just want to say that I appreciate the cheesy dad rock intro music. 👍😆
This is a case of "you snooze, you lose" because the suggesting of a truck wheel and indicator stalks has been given to Fanatec before. Like 10 years ago already.
might have to buy moza now
We're not going to drive a BMW with this, so we also need a steering column switch for a turn signal.
I thought at least some renders are already out by Moza...
@@alphastratus6623 Thank you. I found a glorious picture of it.
Thanks for the review! I do have concerns about how it attaches to 3rd party wheel base, since its cable is not very long, but real live truck usually have 1800 degree turning wheel, so I think that cable is not long enough, maybe they will come up with some wireless solution?
It is detailed introduction! so cool!
looks to be the size of my wheel in my f150, when i ran a bed truck the wheel was closer to 20 inches, still neat
what? i drive an F150 and it's a standard size...the hell kind of truck you driving?
@@kevinlemburg1348The MOZA TSW is about 16 inches, about the size of a standard steering wheel. Truck steering wheels are 18-20 inches. So your steering wheel in your F-150 is about the same size as this MOZA wheel.
An International (brand) truck I have driven in the past had the air horn as a button on the right side of the wheel, with the city horn being in the center. So the horn being a button on this wheel isn't out of place.
I wonder if Moza will make a slim accessory hub so I can attach it to the back of the wheel. I want to use this with Asetek pass through but I don't want the coiled cable.
Perhaps a short cable with the USB adapter built in made just for Asetek
Im a heavy diesel mechanic and in most trucks the steering is buttery smooth and requires little effort to steer the truck because of the big power steering systems and im talking from experience i test drive trucks almost everyday completely different feel than driving a racecar on slicks with no power steering
Recirculating ball bearing steering
I hope they come out with a CB ‘radio’. Farm simulator controls would be cool too…
Would this work with the GPRO wheel base ??
Good, now all that is needed is a handle for the airhorn *_woooooonk woooooooonk!_*
omg omg me want that now ! 🤣
Trucking companies: why can't we find any drivers anymore?
Answer: The ones that want to drive truck, don't need to leave the house anymore :-D
shit pay, shit hours, dispatchers treat you like a slave, you'll be lucky if you get more than a couple hours of sleep on some runs, you could be gone for 4 weeks at a time, you're essentially living in a tiny apartment on wheels, and its not luxurious at all, its kind of fucking gross, you have to pay for a shower, and you only get 10-20 minutes to bathe. some companies trick drivers into leasing their own trucks, so many of them end up in deep dept. yes we need truckers, it's literally the backbone of our economy, everything from agriculture to retail to even the medical industry relies on truckers to get their supplies or goods, we just need better regulation.
source: looked into it about 6 years ago and a retired trucker talked me out of it.
I certainly respect MOZA for designing anything for truck sim drivers, and I'm not saying that simply because I love my MOZA racing hardware. Well done MOZA Racing. 🏆
What would be a good pedal set to complement the TSW?
So I’m not sure about other trucks, but in my job I have access to 4 different types of trucks. The ones the use air horns have a button on the side of the wheel or a cord on the top of the cab you can pull
This wheel fits more towards the European trucks. At least that’s what it looks like.
Love you collin
Because it was mentioned several times: The steering in the trucks and construction equipment I've driven always feels *extremely* light. The power steering on the freightliner I have the most experience in feels lighter than my personal car and would be on the low end of a Logitech g29.
Hello will I drive a scania and it had a D shape wheel just too let you know
perfect for f123
i use the moza wheelbase manual to put inbetween the c-clamp and the table lmao
review of the Rexing Mayaris wheel?
Aww.....i was hoping to see ATS or ETS on your monster triple sim rig.
i dont care about truck simulators, but this is realy cool👍
can you put this wheel to your big rig with the 3 tvs?and play one game.thanks
Have you tried playing OMSI2 with Moza hardware, is it compatible?
Would the braket clamp to the f-gt lite rig being the mounting plate is so thin?
Hard to say but even if it did how would you get your seat in the proper position to use it?
True legends use this wheel for open-wheel sim racing
What's up with the insane USD to AUD conversion? Over 2x for the stand.
haha Brilliant!
I don’t know what a semi feels like but to me it felt right is an interesting take away. No sim communicates the weight sensation you get from driving a real truck. The shove from fighting the wind. The heart attack from pressing on the brake pedal and not slowing down. Truck sim needs full motion platforms
But it feels so incredibly authentic! 😂
do a video showing the wheel bolted to a Cammus c12.
wont work, this wheel is only for the Moza ecosystem.
Wow the wheel is so big, any other wheel next to it looks comically small 😂
Question : Would it fit on a GT omega Apex wheel Stand and how would it look if you can put it in truck Position ?
I'd also like to know this, as I'm looking at getting this for my current setup.
It wouldn't fit hard mounted
I have a Next Level Racing wheel stand and I reckon I can adapt the top plate so it pivots enough in the right direction to have this wheel at a flatter angle, without having to remove the DD unit. I’d have to lower the top of the stand for truck mode, but that’s just a few bolts. I might write to Next Level Racing and suggest that if they had full semicircle pivot plates on the side of the top plate, instead of the quarter circle ones, it would give the flexibility to car racing and truck driving.
I am looking to upgrade to The Moza truck wheel just excited for for the Proper Indictor and wipers stocks am only asking to see if it fits to a Gt Omega wheel stand i just the fact i can just move the stand out of the way and play other type of games or do work on computer without un screwing it from desk or that i just have the Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel just now but if this Moza Truck wheel cant be fitted to my stand or the can bring out a bracket to mount in to other Stands be Perfect Keep on trucking Truckers Fantastic Community :)
using this as your main racing wheel
Will what car do ya got in the background?
Lotus Emira
I can't understand why no wheel manufactures integrate a center horn button, especially on a wheel like this. Can't be that difficult.
wow how old is your copy of ATS? is that a CD ROM case? 🤭 i was hoping to get this wheel for a R5 and rebuild my iracing rig with a R9 ,R12 and above is wayyyy out of my range :(
Pretty smart of Moza. The Euro Truck crowd is surprisingly big and now they can try to fool all these people into thinking they absolutely need to get a 1000 euro DD wheel. For that "familiar and authentic feel", as confirmed by people who never driven a truck (so just like in simracing with race cars, really). And you know what, good for them. Why not make money off people willing to part with them.
Hell yea. Ats!!
15:30 - только я вижу как оно ходит ходуном, относительно базы и сам круг относительно руля?
The real question is: When is Jimmy Broadbent going to drive a Group B car with it.
what if moza decided to create TSW V2 with horn button in the middle of the wheel with real life mechanism? 😆
MOZA is really pulling the stops with products lately. Now all they have to do is do a button box similar to the one Saitek made for that bundle which was made for Farm Simulator.
Next review - the Amira
I drove trucks for over 10 years Will.
I can tell you the forces through a truck wheel are substantially more than what a CSL DD can do.
Worst for me was when my left steer got caught on a gutter on my outside at 80km/h, taking a slight bend to the right.
It nearly took the wheel out of my hands!!
So this dampening even more might be something for hard-core simmers to take in mind.
Not all trucks are like that.
But most stuff I'd say pre 2005 is.
Steering is heavy in every HR truck I've driven older than 2006 that I can recall.
Edit: the metal strips look like pewter (or imitation pewter)
we blew the power steering pump in a kenworth t800 single steer 300 inch bed truck with the big 300 series steering tire( 3x wide as a highway tire). it took two guys on the wheel to steer it back to the shop this was back in 2008 and the truck was likely 15 years old back then. I dont think there is a base available that could replicate this
It was bad enough when the steering pump went on my VW van let alone something the size of your t800! I also remember how much effort it was steering my Dad’s 1970 Ford Transit. No powered steering back then, so a big steering wheel.
24:49 . . . hehe . . .doodoo
Why the hell do I want to buy one of these?? I don't even truck sim. I'd probably buy it, play it for a month till the novelty wore off and then it would just sit there doing nothing, yet I still want it 😂.
What's driving me crazy is Moza are sending these units to SIm Racers and not Truck Sim Creators for review... I love your reviews, but there are creators that play ATS and ETS specifically and this is a wheel; they should be reviewing... The issue is they are smaller channels and Moza doesnt want to send smaller channels the wheel. Irritates me
They don't need to. Truck sim creators are likely to buy one anyway and talk about it on their channel because they know their audience will be curious, so they'll want the views such a video will give them. Videos like this cater to a wider audience - 'I'm keen on driving games and curious about truck simulators - is it worth me investing in Moza hardware/this wheel specifically to satisfy that curiosity?'
Weird, I just got into ETS2..
