I was greatly disappointed by the two dangling cables ruining my video but I didn’t wanna redo the whole thing or have to edit 😂. It’s now improved lol.
This is a really, really cool sim rig setup! I have the original Sim-lab GT1 from way back and I'm tempted to upgrade (I love ASR's adjustable wheel mount!). Definitely going to favorite this video for future reference when I change mine up.
Definetly wait for a big sale if you end up wanting to do it. It’s nicer looking and stiffer than the gt1 for sure. But it’s not a huge difference day to day, I only took advantage cause if a discount I had.

I remember watching your old video with your Simlab GT1-EVO as ideas for my first rig, that was the rig i went with, I've also got a virpil setup, also got a pair of those QR4Rigs Mounts for them and centre stick, works amazingly! Got myself some triples and just waiting on the stand for now, hopefully it comes soon.

Looks great. I did a bit of custom work on my ASR 6, too. I have a keyboard and mouse slider attached under my wheel base and duel vkbs mounted on the wheel stand and custom monitor mount on the rig made from a single floor stand that i didn't like. My monitor is a 48 c1. When i have more space, i will upgrade to triples.

This is giving me awesome ideas thanks man. Have a very similar setup but I can't move around the throttle and the center joystick (i got virpil) needs to be unscrewed. I never thought it an issue really until I saw this video and now I must adapt haha.

Very similar to my setup... I didn't like the bent extension for the Joystick, so I made up an L shaped 8020. Clears the seat much better.
I just got the stecs.... I like your solution to moving it out of the way. I'd consider something like that if I get the collective I'm considering.

Great setup. Me, I have many ideas, but so little skills. 10 thumbs. I wish I could get an expert visiting for a about a week so that we can maximize what I have and add a few nice touches like additional screens and button boxes.
The Brasov licence plate threw me for a loop lol. I thought my English was good but compared to yours I must sound like Jar Jar Binks haha. Sweet setup too, by the way! Just subscribed :)

Love the center joystick which are the parts do you used the qr4 quick release and to attach the virpil base which one is it?
What do you do for rudder pedals in flight setup? I know some people use throttle/clutch as it but it seems so-so with the pressures pedals take compared to rudders. Otherwise, definitely looking to copy this setup for flight when I get around to it.
How are you liking the NRG seat? Is it comfortable? I bought the exact same one and waiting for it to arrive haha.
Do you have any advice on what to begin with as a person who likes to fly (And has a comfy setup on my desk) but wants to drive as well but can't be arsed setting up the rig for 10 minutes every time I wanna drive.
Looking for something that I can slide in front of my desk and just hop on to drive and maybe upgrade it further down the line to include flight sim equipment there as well?
BTW, where are your rudder pedals?
Some great ideas you have going there, very nice setup. Do you use flight pedals at all or just map your driving pedals and use those?
Yeah just the driving pedals for msfs. They’re not perfect but not worth the hassle for me to build out anything just for pedals.
Clean setup man, love the flight sim stuff as well, super effective. What about rudder pedals?
I just use the normal pedals. UCR (universal control remapper) to program them as rudders.

How durable is the coating on the ASR? any scratches as you assembled it?

Are you happy with the built-in single monitor stand? I am worried about slight movement due to the wheel motor jerking the rig around. I will be using the Samsung 57” Neo G9. I am considering the floor standing monitor as to ensure no monitor movement. The built-in stand looks way better though.
Really the only thing that moves is the monitor flexing under its own weight. It’s been fine. But go freestanding for the 57 for sure
Could you provide the dimensions of the plate you had made to attach the throttle pivot
It’s just 3x3”. Holes 1.5” apart as it’s for 15 series.

How did you get that extra profile that matches the ASR paint, that extends to the flight throttle?

I also have an ASR6 that does dual duty Car/Flight. I designed my Throttle to swivel nearly just like yours. My main issue now is swapping the rudders (MFG Crosswind v3) in and out. What is your rudder solution?
I just use my sim pedals for rudder. “Universal control remapper’ works to modify the input accordingly.
With the Crosswinds you could get one of those QR4Rigs Mounts ( that he uses for the joystick ), which I also plan to do with mine to get them out by a qucik release. Here's an example czcams.com/video/hWh_pECTxHU/video.html

That’s not their monitor Mount right? What did you use for that? I would like to get my monitor as close as yours is. Do you think their integrated monitor Mount could achieve that?

Really depends on the market in your area, it’s not really a great time to sell sim stuff right now. But yeah I sold it.

Nope I just use the sim pedals. It’s not the best but does the job.
Is there any huge difference between the asr6 and the gt1 evo?
Those one is definetly more solid. But not reason enough alone to upgrade. I got a fairly large discount when I ordered it and I wanted a black rig as well.
How does the integrated monitor, PC, keyboard, etc, mount fair with motion?
I don’t have motion.

@@WaWaZatt yeah it’s fine. They’re not turned up that much. Sometimes the mouse likes to start heading off of the tray but other than that no issues.

They’re just called “sound dampening pads”. Bunch of them on Amazon. They help for sure.

I show the wire management at the end of the video. But a lot of clips and running stuff on the underside of the profiles so you can’t see it.
@@Theoloop I have the trak racer tr 160 n just got the tablet button box arm mount n it’s horrible doesn’t even have enough rigidness to hold the mount let alone putting the stuff at the end they have it so one bolt holds it to the rig
