I have a Moza experience to share as a customer.
My dumbass somehow managed to damage the pins inside the wheel QR. I sent them an email explaining my problem and asked for a repair job if possible. In about a week they shipped a replacement pin plate FREE OF CHARGE not a question asked. Only thing they wanted was a proof of wheel purchase and photo of the damage.

For what it's worth, Fanatec experience here to add to the conversation.
I've been buying Fanatec gear for over 11 years now. I've owned the original Porsche 911 wheel and shifter, CSW V1, CSW V2, Clubsport Pedals V2, Elite Pedals V1, Elite Pedals V2, Original Formula Wheel, Formula V2 wheel, CSL P1 Wheel, Podium Advanced Module, Podium DD1, Porsche RSR wheel and Clubsport Shifter V1.5. Most of these were ordered individually and I never had any issues with shipping, including this past Black Friday where I picked up the Shifter on sale.
Out of all these products the only reliability issue I had was with the motors on the CSW V1. They basically burnt out, as you couldn't really run that wheel base at full power without burning them out. Fanatec shipped me out new motors and instructions to replace at the time. I did replace them and the wheel continues to work to this day, I just can't turn up the power, which is why I bought the Clubsport V2... lol! Other than that, no issues with any of the other products.
Hope this may be helpful to someone, as there is quite a bit of doom and gloom out there and for me at least, I've been very pleased with the products, shipping and customer service. Saving up now for the Gran Turismo DD Extreme. 😁 Happy Sim Racing Everyone!

I want to upgrade my old Porsche Wheel and V2 pedals to DD, but as they won't go local retail, I'll just go to a local shop and get Simagic or Asetek gear.
I'd like to stick with Fanatec, and I'd PROBABLY get it delivered in good time, and it will PROBABLY be reliable so I don't have the hassle of shipping it back for warranty repairs, but I don't have to worry about those PROBABLYS if I go with the other brands, so it's goodbye Fanatec, unfortunately.

    - Expensive

The Asetek was my long term upgrade that will no doubt last me for the foreseeable future. Both were readily available at Microcenter near me here in the states which was nice. I've never had an issue, I've never been unhappy. One thing I do need to say is it takes a few weeks to get the force feedback tuned to your specific desires but when it is, it gives me more information than any other base I've tried and I've been through a ton of thrustmaster gear, quite a bit of Logitech's stuff, and a I've tried fanatecs dd but I didn't buy it for myself as I actually wanted to get my wheel rather than wait for it for however long it took to ship. I've not had any issue with QR1 but it's good to keep it all updated.

Suits my casual / semi competitive racing perfectly.
Moza also listen to the community and build products based on the communities needs.

Bought a Logitech DD Pro last year after watching many of your videos. Fanatec was on the shortlist but they have too many products - DD1, DD2, CSL, Clubsport, DD+, DD Pro, and that's just the wheelbase - resulted in choice paralysis. I bought the Logitech and although the lack of addons sucks the wheel and pedals themselves are fantastic. There was no mucking about everything was included. And their built-in G923 compatibility mode has been god-tier because the older games just work. This is especially important to me because I swap between PC and PS fairly often.
I have zero complaints about the quality or price of the Logitech DD Pro. My only complaint is they're taking too long to release the "ecosystem" of shifters, handbrakes and custom wheels. Where are the wheels for WRC and F1? It's inexplicable how they could release such a good product only to seemingly abandon it like this. I keep hearing rumors about stuff coming soon but I'm losing faith and losing patience.

I've recently made the jump to DD with Moza. Nothing but amazing customer support, experience, the whole bit. When I got my items (KS Wheel, R9 Base, SRP Pedals) everything was packaged nicely and looked amazing. The only thing was the sticker pack that is included with the KS Wheel was not with the package. I messaged Moza, within a week, I not only received the sticker pack but an additional one which really helped especially if I made a mistake and had to redo the sticker placement and the original sticker wouldn't fit. As for the driving and software experience, I mainly play iRacing and the feedback I feel from the R9 has been amazing. I've been able to feel more details then ever before and it's helped my driving (especially when catching mistakes lol) the software I find very easy to use and neatly put together. All in all, I've had no complaints from my Moza and plan on expanding my wheel collection soon to add variety.

I've been a Fanatec owner for years as you probably know, and have been one of the lucky ones. Never had an issue with shipping, both recent orders and older orders, totalling well over $10k. I've always been happy with performance and quality along with customer service and spare parts. I now have the CS DD and it's very impressive, extremely detailed and responsive. QR2 is just as good as any other that I've tried and with zero play. I'm wishing the best for Fanatec and all of their employees, I never want to see any company fail, regardless of their mistakes. Peoples lives and families are dependant on Fanatec's success and that should be the focus right now.

Apparently, when asked recently, they (Fanatec) stated that they won't go to a retail system due to cost, I think that is a fatal business error, because, if I'm not prepared to take the risk of sending them money as a satisfied long term Customer, I imagine a lot of other people will feel the same way, and with the competition being so good and so much more accessible, they are going to struggle.

Their software was still on its infancy when I first got my products but they've done incredible improvements since then.
Only minus I can find on their system is not being able to use SimHub (unless you're wired in with the GT Neo rim). The rims connect wirelessly via bluetooth to the base and just get power from them. If you wire in the GT Neo, you can configure some LEDs but that isn't an option for the FX Pro (at the time I am posting this message). Maybe a future update since Simagic has been great with customer feedback!

Can be paired with everything else aside from Fanatec so I got HE Sprints and SHH Shifter. I was thinking of maybe getting the Logitech DD setup, but with the horrible G923 experience I’ve had, I don’t think I’ll ever buy another Logitech product. It’s a shame because I was a Logitech fan for most of my life before I got my G923. The pedals are always glitching out and the wheel base is incredibly loud, which makes streaming audio much worse that it would be otherwise. I’m just glad I learned my lesson before getting my load cell pedals that I recently got. I probably would’ve ended up going with their pedals and would’ve been disappointed. As a hack myself, I envision that there is AT LEAST a 5:1 ratio to production time vs video length for something of this depth. I feel VRS got shafted a bit (PUN). There is a lot you can do for that eco system, but I can see how it can be confusing for a new person. I would argue that the Simucube label is there to say its compatible more so than saying its OSW, MIGE, or VRS compliant. It seems a lot easier to use the HUB from VRS and attach whatever QR system you want (it's been out of stock for some time now) and wheels are plenty with all over the board. Yes you have to use a USB cable with an extender for safe use, but its not going to ruin your experience.
Also, I swear VRS is a 20 NM and not a 25 NM motor? Am I wrong?
Nonetheless, thank you for your hard efforts on making this video. There is a wealth of knowledge here and throughout the channel, but please for the viewers out there, do your due diligence. I hate to say it but the only way to really know is to try it, but this is a very expensive hobby. Same goes for cars. If you can find a way to test drive them all, you find that the efforts of arguments raging between parties seems trivial.

I went from a Moza R9 to a VRS DFP, and I feel like the VRS has more granular definition to the point you can make it feel like you have sand in the motor and it's grinding away, the Moza never produced that feeling when I tried all the different force feed back settings.
Don't get me wrong the Moza R9 was a really good wheel base and when I had it I never felt like I wanted more. I only upgraded to the VRS as I wanted a front mount base and I think I could go back to the R9 and be happy with it if I had to.

I felt that my options for upgrade later was not there and so had to think long and hard for a system that i felt would have good support, certainty of a growing ecosystem. i looked across the Moza gear but at the time of purchase they had some software development issues and so went with Asetek. Forte wheel and pedals and La Prima wheelbase. not disappointed. its an amazing product line. updated to V3 software and that caused some glitches but V3.1 sorted that. would have really appreciated a roll-back feature but it would not do that with the new firmware deployed to devices. the lack of shifter and handbrake after this amount of time is also a bit frustrating. All things considered, using this gear feels is amazing and still puts a smile on my face.

Bought a Moza r12 about a year ago. Absolutely love it. I don’t really understand what you mean about the Moza force feedback. I’ve used my buddies fanatec setups and I prefer the feeling of Mozas force feedback everytime. I wouldn’t trade my r12 for any other base.

I started with the moza r5 bundle and loved it. Sold it and got the moza r9 and the cr-p pedals and loved it. Then I sold my r9 to a buddy because I'm doing competitive racing now for money and wanted more realism with my stearing so got the moza r16 and it's dialed in to perfection I love it!! Moza for the win with quality and price!!

I personally have a Moza R5 and Fanatec CSL Elite v2 pedals. Both products were purchased early 2023.
The pedals have been 100% amazing every now and again I do need to lube them to avoid noise however.
The R5 has been great as well. The only issue I have is some times I need to relearn the center point. I personally have not updated my MOZA pithouse software since it was installed. I have zero issues with over heating or loss of FFB even with 12 hour endurance races, 3-4 hour drifting jam sessions, long 500 lap nascar races ect.

After considering the fanatec csl dd 8nm, asetek la prima 12nm and the simagic alpha mini 10nm. Made the right choice and went with the simagic! Coming from Logitech g27,I did a lot of research on the upgrade, I hope I found this video back then.

    Came here for the shirt!
But in all seriousness -- I own a Fanatec GT DD 8Nm, McLaren GT3v2 and Fanatec P1 wheels, CSL loadcell pedal with 3dRap improvements and the Clubsport Shifter and Handbreak. Wanted to share my feedback - The products I own are all very good (especially as a first time DD) and the only comment I can make is that the wheel base is not future-proof. The 8Nm is pretty good overall and I'm enjoying it with a lot of titles like iRacing and EA WRC (so wide range of driving disciplines). All products I own are exceptionally well built and I've gotten great mileage on everything but I would like to upgrade my wheelbase soon as I feel that I can overpower the 8Nm in most cases and it's causing me to either overdrive the cars or not feel the loss of grip when it happens -- this can obviously be worked around with finesse and skill (which I probably lack) but for me, a stronger wheelbase which will require significant force to "overpower" should work wonders. As a final though -- I originally refused to get a cockpit and had it clamped on the desk but I urge all aspiring racers to try and go towards dedicated cockpits with their DDs as the experience will always be worth it.
Cheers Will for the content! Love your work!

Overall pretty solids, some bugs on occasion but well supported in games. V3 pedals are pretty decent, shifter is solid. No regurts

I own Simagic Alpha Mini. Great experience both with the product and customer service. Simply 10nm are not enough and I will upgrade at some point. One year ago the newest Simagic Alpha mini firmware had issues. FFB would suddenly disappear. CS intervened immediately and after a couple of updates solved the issue. From then no issue at all.

Thank you for sharing! Has been thinking of buying the Alpha Mini for a while now as the normal Alpha is as expensive as the Alpha Ultimate in my country... If not I would have bought the normal Alpha.

The alpha is great. I had a moza r5 and was super disappointed with its ffb detail and strength. The alpha was a massive upgrade from that and I don’t see any reason to upgrade. Haven’t tested a mini so I couldn’t compare. I’d just go with the U if I were you since it’s marginally more expensive. I didn’t because I use my desk and with just the alpha I’ve had my desk bouncing off the ground lol

Well, figured since you're asking to share input.
Had a quick beginner to advanced pov on things myself.
Went from a tsxw to a moza r12 to a simagic alpha U in about 4months.
I will say, the feeback settings play a significant role. My r12 settings were set using Metzvr on YT, the jump to a alpha U had me honestly a little disappointed. Race beyond matters released a settings video for a few bases including my alpha u, and wow, now theres a difference. Even improved consistency and lap times. So gotta get those settings sorted out to truly enjoy each individual base.
I feel like moza's phone app isnt talked about enough. Its definitely a feature i miss moving away from them.
Always enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work

Asetek invicta owner. few months in now, very happy with it (its very fast). Their quick releases are expensive but that usb pass through is really convenient. The 6 port usb hub on the back is a really nice feature and helps with the cable management( got a fanatec h shifter and simagic p1000s plugged into the back of it and everything just works).
