Thanks for your videos, I am loving them. I am in Canada, so yes I love seeing the different products and pricing in the US. I am one of those carb addicts but watching your videos I feel like I’m closer to trying carnivore. Because I do need to lose weight. But honestly, I’m scared to try it. I will definitely be miserable if I do lol.

My new way of cooking is when I know it rare in the middle I put a top on it and turn off the heat and walk away for 10 minutes. Perfect for me.

Steaks where I live are a minimum of 22.99 a lb. I lost my job of 18 years and am having no luck finding another job. Nobody wants to hire middle aged people. Thankfully I canned a lot of meats over the last 3 years as things were on sale.

I DETEST going to Costco or grocery shopping in general. My husband takes care of this chore so he doesn't have to hear me gripe about it. Watching you shop and showing me what to put on the list is the cats!!! You shop so I don't have to.

Yes I know you can do it! I never needed to drink coffee. I would drink coffee for the insane amount of sugar and cream that I would put into it. 😂

Did you have a problem with sugar cravings at first? any advice?

Going to be two years this October, caffeine and alcohol free. It’s possible and I don’t miss it. Good luck.

Sodium Nitrite in bacon - usually considered carnivore. Celery Powder is used for the natural nitrites it has - I prefer to know where my nitrites come from - so, celery powder is not objectionable for me.

Guy walks down several aisles of processed foods and is shocked to find weird ingredients! If you venture beyond the fresh meat section, what do you expect? 🤷🏽‍♂️

i just drink decaf when i feel like it. you get some potassium from coffee especially if you've been drinking a lot

I think coffee is ok Jay…and I think you are doing beef, butter, bacon, eggs as I do (with coffee)…I think Lion diet is just red meat, salt, water…no need for that!

Half caff is a brilliant idea! Hope it works for you. Coffee is the one thing I've never been able to give up. Got rid of all my other vices but that one has stuck. Good luck!

Did you drink your coffee black? I heard coffee can hinder fat loss. Not sure if it’s because of what’s added to coffee like milk and sugar. But don’t say you’re **quitting** coffee… just that you’re putting a **pause** on it until you’ve figured things out. STOP DRINKING COFFEE.

I see a lot of suggestions to eat less food, but I feel like it all comes down to the fat/protein ratios. You will very quickly find if you feel better with more fat or protein and which would be best for your fat loss. In general, it seems women do better with higher fat and men higher protein, BUT it is all very individual. You could also try a protein sparing modified fast a few days a week. Good luck!

My one item that I have left to drop is ice cream; Hagan Das; it has 4 ingredients, mostly animal based but one ingredient is sugar and a good amount of it but in 3 months I have dropped all other sugar/carbohydrates. It was not easy as I am Italian and pasta was a comfort food for me but after awhile I did not crave it. I even had a little bit one time and I wasn't impressed; don't miss it at all. I am losing my cravings for ice cream; won't be long now. My grown daughter was over and she had a bag of chips so I had one chip. That's was all, one chip; didn't want any more. 😊

Those ribs with the bones in them are called Flanken ribs in different states. They are fatty and delicious! I go to Costco only about 4 times a year. I have 2 garage freezers, so I stock up.

Mouth wash is not healthy because it destroys the digestive enzymes in the mouth before we're able to digest foods. It's also linked to blood pressure issues! Try just salt water for rinsing. Take care!

Thank you for introducing to me that Costco had pork belly. I don't usually eat pork so I hadn't check that section. I use to love real chicharrones growing up but I haven't been able find it locally in years. This is even better.

Here in northern Arkansas, we have to drive 2 hrs to Springfield MO for Costco! Sadly! But we should make a run. I'm always looking for Flankin Ribs, Chuck Eye and Short ribs.

I have yet to find picanha in my Costco and it makes me really sad.

Costco cut meats are “ blade tenderized “ check the label. We only shop at the business center for our meat which are whole we cut ourselves. Yes, that Prime ribeye is a lot of money but in the end it’s a good buy. Just came across your vlog, best wishes to you on your journey.

I buy my meat from Aldi and Krogers. Grass fed ground beef was $3.99 and Ribeye was $5.99 per pound. I get eggs from Vital Farms, but eggs are not part of Lion diet. I might go get the lamb you posted.
