@@TheHobbyGrotto I personally never understood the hate for it. If you do it well it can get you highlights much quicker and you can quickly go over them with a brush again anyway

Very true, I think some people view it as a beginner technique that you graduate away from, but it's an important tool for any miniature painter imo!

@@TheHobbyGrotto pretty much, I think the elitist views need to stop. It's just another way of getting things done and you should always keep it in mind. Ain't no way I'm doing a large dragon and highlighting it without dry brushing.

I use Lahmian Medium from GW, but most miniature paint brands will have an equivalent that will work perfectly fine! 😄

There's no perfect size because of the variety of different base depths on miniatures. If you get good quality, strong magnets, then anything with a height of 1.5mm - 2mm will serve you well though (even without putty).

@TheHobbyGrotto luckily I've managed a cleaner attenpt with my next model I did. I kit bashed some ogor heros like a tyrant and butchers, so I'm just putting them on the proper sized bases like if you bought the official model. This also includes a slaughter master... but idk if I need to have that long oval base or will a 50mm will work...

Nice one, kit bashing is an important part of the hobby imo, and don't forget if you do get a bit of damage on the feet you can always hide it with basing/tufts! 😊

I don't personally use hot glue myself, but if you do you can skip the super glue, the hot glue itself should have enough hold 😊

Thanks for watching! Any Vallejo dark brown and dark silver would work fine for this colour scheme, you might try Dark Umber and then something like Exhaust Manifold or Acero Steel, but most silvers should work well when mixed with brown 😊
