What the face tends to be squinting I find it actualy looks better to just go with a wash. no whites. but its a personal reference.
I agree, after I've done the wash if eyes are squinting too much I will just leave that as the shading and be done with it! 😁

@@TheHobbyGrotto Agreed! Or if the eyes are too heavily obscured by other details (if anyone plays Frostgrave, the Men-at-Arms kettle helmet comes to mind).
