High performance cars get bad gas mileage with in-town driving doing errands so a hybrid version raises the overall gas mileage. A pluggable allows you to drive around during the day, stay within the max battery range, and fill up your car only once every two to three months!

Not a lithium-ion traction battery. As far as I could check, for the US, the Woodland trim has a safer NiMH battery.

The guys that added turbos to the previous GT86 usually experienced overheating problems.. it seems you get away with a light boost, but not serious boost

It appears to actually have some decent tires on it. The Wilderness Foresters have tires meant strictly for soccer mom duty. The BFGoodrich Trail Terrains on my Forester XT put them to shame. I've taken mine through parts of my tree farm that my 4x4 F350 can't manage for almost 95k miles. Even Toyo Open Countrys are better than the Forester Wilderness Bridgestones, but they are loud on pavement and puncture too easily. I really like that you can get one with a manual passenger seat. I foster dogs and like that it is super fast to move that seat to let 60-95 lbs hounds in the back without having to wait for an electric seat to move. I wish that was an option with Touring Foresters, but it isn't anymore.

I don't know why the manufacturers of Boxer engines don't use the dry sump system, to eliminate the problem of oil starvation during sustained cornering or drifting... just saying

that pink lube is lithium soap based glycol grease. i have the full size tube that says Toyota on it and a bunch of japanese. it's the bomb! use it on any rubber seal/o ring that contacts metal.

The features, interior and look make it more than worthwhile to not have four wheel drive. Coming from a Crosstrek, this car is way better just because of all the features. Heavily considering. I go to the mountains often for hikes but I don't do any four wheeling. So as long as I don't get stuck getting to the trail that's my only concern lol

My Buick Encore has a 1.3L Turbo 3 cylinder and boy... it really goes. When it's already up to speed it really overtakes easily, but even from a stop it gets moving.

My buddy had one in the early 2000s..heavily modded.. Crazy lag.. Hard to drive smoothly and extremely tail happy (fun though) lol..

Why would ANYONE waste their hard-earned money on a car and company that built its ENTIRE brand, on low-CoG, highly powerful boxer engines? It'd be like buying a Ferrari powered by rubber bands. Or a 911 with a V4. Mind you, with the despicable CVTs they try to sell as "gearboxes" it's a miracle Subaru are still alive today. They have utterly squandered everything their founding principles held dear. If you want a proper car, buy a top of the line Korean car IN Korea, and ship it back to the states! Try a Kia K8, or a Hyundai Grandeur, or a new Sonata, or a new Sportage, or a new palisade, or a new Genesis GV60, or a G90, or a K5, or a K6, or a Carnival - all absolutely amazing! Or a Casper, Or a Soul. Or any of another dozen incredible cars not available outside Korea!

afaik the red goo is the assemblypaste for the squarerings and the piston into the caliper. For all other gaskets and pins you can use regular grease.
