There are so many CZcamsrs, rushing projects to get content out, and then there is Sarah . Don't ever change , you should be proud of your attention to detail...🎉
Amen!
yeah, always wonder why the "let's do this full restauration in 5 days" gets audiences so excited.
All it ends up doing is create something that's a piece of junk.
And ends up killing people who actually get to operate it when critical components inevitably fail.
Same thing goes for all those TV "reality shows" that served as inspiration for those youtubers.
“Sorry for not having a rotisserie and a team of 40 people”. I feel the same way, I am restoring a car and you sometimes feel like you aren’t doing it correctly because of what you see online. We are doing it correctly and with our own hands 👍 keep up the amazing work
Noted as well, we're not all scrillionaires.
Yes, I left my millions in my other pants. Doing what you can with what you've got. Absolutely brilliant work on the Celica Sarah..
Not just methods and practices that get questioned too but choices of project vehicles too unfortunately
Sarah is the perfect example of "Do it right the first time."
Or you could think of her as a "Measure twice and cut once" type of person ..... The women is a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the unwatchable cringe worthy junk on YT.
Don't apologize for being real. It's super refreshing to see someone who is actually realistic about a build and with no dumb 1 week deadlines or fake drama. Keep it up!
The sock for the boot, the nursing home smell, Sarah humor is off the chart. Rockin with Van Halen forever!
Anybody accuse you of slacking isn’t paying attention. It’s ready when Sarah says so. Not compromising or half stepping, not relenting and bound and determined. We are here for you and your way. Some of us have been here since the garage days. You’ve come far since then. Other things are coming. We’ll be here.
Awesome Van Halen shirt, the celica is cool too.
This channel is such a breath of fresh air. I love watching a master at work.
Some Dyna-Mat would completely deaden the sound from those liners you added to the sides of the trunk.
Or a coat of Lizard Skin
What is up with the obsession of sound deadening?!? 😂 If I wanted quiet I’d restore and old Rolls Royce
@@SarahnTuned
If it’s too loud, you’re too old.
@@SarahnTuned Now there is an idea for a future project. A restomod Rolls Royce.
@@SarahnTuned Amen sister! Never used that stuff in my life.
If you want a quiet car go buy a new one and listen to the tire roar due to paper thin metal.
The rear bumper looks amazing. So glad you eliminated the bumperetts
Bumper over riders 😉
So the bumpers are underridden now.
"When the potential for shiny exists, one must realize that potential, and make shiny"
I'll remember that.
Yep, words to live by.
Yes, but after polishing just one side of an unpolished/rough(stock) aluminum vavle-cover in your life, a say maybe I'll just buy chrome ones next time.
Umm. Polish the entire block? lol
There are many paths to The Shiny.
Shiny is as shiny does!
I'm looking forward to seeing the Celica completed.
i have been waiting months to hear that celica roar with that V8...
It’ll be another couple months
@@SarahnTuned WHAT?!!!
@@SarahnTuned Thanks fine love is a constant.
You said 90's nursing home smell, and now I can't get that smell out of my head!! Because that is a VERY specific smell indeed!
Mothballs Vitamins and Poop
Maybe a dead body in the trunk, at some time...
I usually equate that with grandparent's house. lol
@@Grimm-Gamingand disinfectant
Old folks home... Smells like pressure cooked chicken. Beats the stench of rear end grease. That odor sticks permanently to the nostrils.
My dad used to work at Denver Bumper and all he worked on was chrome plating bumpers. I’m so glad your bumper came out so nice. It’s a dwindling art form, since new cars just chrome plastic.
That Celica is the best build I’ve seen someone do! Resto-mod and classy, that’s an achievement.
Agreed, most resto modders seem to think everything needs 24" rims and airbags.
there’s perfectly clean, spotless, and then, Sarah class. Your attention to detail is amazing.
My first car at 16 was a 1973 Celica ST with an 18-RC engine. My father and I rebuilt the engine in the garage as well as replaced the timing chain. Once we did the work for $126 from NAPA in parts and put back together, it started right up with the help from the Kraco 5EQ K-Mart radio I put in while working on the car without my father knowing. Great memories and love watching your videos as so down to earth and just someone that loves cars. I had at least 5 Celica's in my early years that were all throw away cars of the day due to rust, but wish I had every one of them today. Thanks again and keep it going!
Kraco...had a few of those back in the day
Between this Celica and Mr. Dos, you are gonna have some of the nicest vintage Toyotas out there
Mighty Car Mods did an MR2 also. It was a rust-fest!
Sarah, i get the impression you regard perfection as a barely acceptable minimum standard. Never change, we love you the way you are .
It’s been four years and I still enjoy seeing you work.
🤘rockin the VH
Thanks! Hope to see you ride the BMX bike at some time
Sarah; Your comment about not having 40 behind the scene workers is exactly why we love your channel. I like the fact your projects take time and errors are made. It makes you one of us, or perhaps us, one of you. Thanks for all your work and videos. Always a joy to watch. Cheers.
Like you've said, it's the little things that really eat up your time and you got a lot of little things accomplished. This car is looking Rad!
Most tastefully done Celica I've ever seen
"When the potential for shiny exists. One must realize that potential and make shiny." That needs to be on a tshirt.
Sarah could sell those. It's just so Sarah.
A lot of those "other" people don't do the work, the team of 40 people who get no recognition do it.
You're doing it and getting it done the way you want. Keep it doing it your way
I like your 'potential to make shiny' philosophy, very satisfying to see...
They say chrome won't get you home BUT, It looks great on your rear end driving away!!
Now as a true scotsman with kilt and everything I can tell you a haggis is a small creature we partake in hunting with our 12 bores on sunny winters days (our summers) up the munroes and bens with nothing but oor thoughts and whisky for company.
Thank ye fer 'splainin', laddie!
Or that's what you tell your wives, eh?
You are by far the smartest real car girl mechanic with beautiful nails 💅 on the net! Your doing a fantastic Job Sara!
Love your custom rear end!
Front end is sweet too!
Haggis. a Scottish dish consisting of a sheep's or calf's offal mixed with suet, oatmeal, and seasoning and boiled in a bag, traditionally one made from the animal's stomach.
Love the retro vibe editing!
Progress was made and penguins were confused, job done.
This morning I was repairing the dashboard of a '58 Bonneville, taking care to remove, clean and polish each of the chrome gauge bezels, including all the hardware, gauge faces, and glass lenses. I was actually thinking, "I'm really deep cleaning these parts like a crazy person, I'm pretty sure this is how Sarah feels." OCD Rules!
Did the same, changed the paint behind the gauges backlighting etc
So many restos and the gauges, plastics were skipped.
Since I was young I built or rebuilt VW Bugs, pickup trucks, antique airplanes & antique Harleys. I often did such projects from scratch starting with only an engine, a chassis or an airframe. I am very impressed with what you build.
The age old problem… one sock, but I guess if you only have one boot it works.
=VH= shirt!! / My wife is not into cars at all but we started watching your videos together. Your attitude and work ethic are magnetic.
Thumbs up for sock joke!
Haggis is a traditional Scottish sausage made from a sheep’s stomach stuffed with diced sheep’s liver, lungs and heart, oatmeal, onion, suet and seasoning. Most haggis is part-cooked before being sold and needs to be simmered in boiling water for one to two hours. You can also buy vegetarian haggis based on beans. Haggis is traditionally served with ‘neeps ‘n’ tatties’ - mashed swede and potatoes - and whisky on Burns Night.
And when it's well-made, it's absolutely delicious and has very little of the irony, game taste, offal often does. Direct quote from my very impressed friend upon first time trying it: "This is the brownest tasting thing, I have ever had." And that was definitely meant in a positive way.
"One gives strength to the limbs, the other fire to the blood for dancin'."
Also, I would not recommend eating it. I was very sick after trying it.
@@bdw66Was yours cooked properly?
Slainte!
The coolest build in the history of youtube
My heart became full seeing the tires on the GT dirty, meaning Sarah has been riding it. Now picture Sarah riding her bike around in the parking lot. 😊
Oh yes. Yes…
Seeing you work, I am inspired to fix my old bicycle and repaint it.
Thanks
Just about to go to bed here in the UK (22:45) and up pops a Sarah vid! Result! 👍👍👍
Same 😂
"How in the C+ geometry student are you supposed to do this?"
I love the Sarah-isms! Never change!
If this build takes another year to complete right, I’d be happy to watch each step.
Spoken like a true Bad Obsession Motorsports fan. I wonder if Sarah likes tea and brackets.
I don’t know why I like that you like fresh hardware.
Love the channel!
It’s the small details that add up. I think it’s coming along nicely!
Please don't rush. This is something to be proud of.
You are very clever at attacking and solving problems. Cheers from Australia.
A trunk lined carpet called a sock?? I'm Canadian... and have no idea what this joke is aboot ;)
In the UK, what you call a trunk is called a Boot. Hence the trunk lining carpet would be a sock lol BTW we don't call it that, we just call it boot carpet.
@@GojiraX Cheers mate! Appreciate the explination, but guess my attempt at humor didn't land well. I'm Canadian... we get slated for pronouncing it "aboot" instead of "about". So with the joke being about a sock lining the "boot" I used the play on words to include my own silly humor ;)
And you are totally real. Your personality is coming out how great the car looks!
This car already looks awesome as it is, so much attention to detail. Can't wait for that engine to be in it.
"Made in elsewhere." Hahahaha
There's a sock in my boot !
Thanks Sarah!🌻🐧
Thanks Stimpy for providing such an awesome childhood!
This rear bumper looks amazing...
Can wait to see this werther's original rolling. ❤❤❤
Have you thought about adding sound deadening to those trunk panels? It'd make them sound and feel solid.
The entire trunk floor is covered in it already.
Old cars dont have the road noise from thin metal that todays cars do . Dont need it really
Much awaited, much appreciated looking forward to excellent work as always from you.
There's nothing hotter then a car babe in a Van Halen tee
What about that Green Shirt?.. dang.
It's the monologue, superb, well done
Always a pleasure to see you plugging away on that magnificent Celica.
Perfect viewing for a Thursday evening. Thanks👍
Girl you spend so much time bringing it back.
This is possibly going to be one of the most perfect cars ever made. The difference is the attention to detail and the effort to keep it looking factory.
I love this build. And I’m glad it’s not some “TV” style bs…. And you’re excessive compulsive but that’s your charm. 😉👍🏻
Great video as always. Nobody does it better.
Love this car and amazing how its coming along.
Mean Mr. Mustard is really coming along 🤟😎
you know Sarah I really miss my own Celica gives joy to my heart watching you working on your car❤
ooooooooooooh! I flippin' love this car!! The "fxed" bumper is chef's kiss!
I painted that same Van Halen logo on a piece of slate in my Dads basement in 1992.
Rock on Sarah !
P.S. Your triceps are looking amazeballz. Keep going with whatever you're doing !
17:08 Stop apologizing for the reason we watch your restoration vlogs. It's the little details that we are here for.
I'm truly enjoying this Celica series of videos. Looking forward to seeing the next installment. Thank you, Sarah!
That chrome bumper looks awesome, I am a huge fan of big chrome bumpers and lots of stainless trim. I miss my old cars that were like that . This is fun to watch you build this Celica. I had posted to you before that my high school auto shop had built a first gen Celica with a 454 Chevy big block in it and had named it the Chevota.
Once again, out there bustin knuckles and breakin hearts. Great show. P.S. I tried that margarita
Hagas worked
I LOVE the microwave joke. A+
Great work so far, I love your OCD with cleaning stuff! LOL
We love Sarah ❤
Do you ever sleep??!! Thanks for the content!!
Not as much as I should.
@@SarahnTuned 😟😟😟😟
The odour of 1980's nursing home may have come from the body that was transported in the trunk. I am intrigued by the difference between your's and SuperfastMatt's general philosophy and yet you both make such interesting automotive projects. If you two discovered each other I can imagine an intense but highly entertaining rivalry.
The 2 best automotive CZcamsrs.
A collaboration would either be amazing, or WW3!
"If the potential for shiny exists, one must realize that potential, and make shiny." Wise words to live by!
Van Halen!
Hot for teacher
This car needs to go to SEMA next year, the attention to detail is unreal
Talking while working is -literally- your your chosen profession.
Many of us (blue collar types) experience bumps and scares while working. I wouldn't worry too much.
There is no question about it, the bumperette delete was the way to go. This car will be super sleek when finished,
Just the best.
Thanks for an informative update 💒🗾🏙️
Yay more Toyota Celica content. I’ve been waiting for a while.
can't wait to see it all finished. 👍🏻
Sarah gives a whole new level of meaning to 'auto detailing.'
love Sarah's quirky personality!
You are getting closer, Very exciting. Cant wait to hear this baby run
Hey, Sarah! - You never have to appologize for the possible apparent lack of progress - you do your stuff in your way, because the Sarah-way is the best way and those who do not understand that, don't deserve to watch anyway. - The bumperette-free bumpers looks awesome! The engine ... again - what an amazing transformation from the sorry heap of corrosion it was to where it is now! This car will be magnificent! Thanl you for what you do and Stay Awesome!
Speaking for the masses, we love you.
Love the Jazz background music choice! 🥰
Just a tip for raising an unloaded engine hoist. If you raise the boom to where you want it with one hand and give the jack a couple of pumps with the other, it will stay at that height so you don't have to pump a million times to bring it up. I'm loving the Celica content with the level of detail! Great work!
