Hahahah nailed it!
Peg!!! Imagine my surprise seeing you here!
No one does rebuilds like you! The attention to detail is like no other. It has kind of ruined restores and rebuilds because it opened my eyes to the short cuts.
In contrast I watch a YT er who’s the exact opposite...ie “there not transmission bolts per say but they fit” 🥺
Shoddy mechanics is also an option. It really depends on the vehicle though. Some cars really don't need to be saved.@@jasonh4167
"M539"
One standard = high 😎🙏
Well I wouldn’t say nobody, Sarah is the one female American equivalent of Bad Obsession Motorsport.
Sarah, don’t ever apologize for your attention to detail. It is what makes you head and shoulders above the rest, as well as give those of us who have an auto renovation on our bucket list something to aim for. Keep up the great work. 👍
Love how you start the video with explaining how you’re up to your favourite part of the build - Wiring Then proceed to work on the transmission!!! 😂
I see that I'm not the only one that noticed that lol
Haha yeah I was confused on what Happened to wiring
Save your dessert til last
Probably the last place I would have expected to catch a Zip Ties reference. Mint! 👌
Haha, Peg is awesome.
That "Metal:On / Metal:Off" segment? Stylistc / editing genius.
Metal on......metal off..........a Mr.Miyagi reference........Karate Kid movie.
I checked and you were right; most of my condiments were expired! Another excellent tutorial on how to emasculate male DIY mechanics! Always enjoy your videos, Sarah.
Dam you’re right. I checked my fridge
Metal off ✊🏼
Metal on 🤘🏼
Imagine owning a car rebuilt by Sara. It would be the cleanest, most reliable and true to manufacturers spec car on the road anywhere.
Your videos are worth it just for the cleaning tips! The info on what can go wrong while cleaning is invaluable; most men would be embarrassed to show themselves "learning from experience" and would edit it out or not even turn the camera on. You are are the best DIY channel because you show more of the actual trial and error that goes on during a build.
I smirked at the Space Sarah moment. Sometimes messing about is crucial.
Monday mornings are never my favorite, but this just made it so much better. Loving this build Sarah. It's getting closer!!
I've been reminded to clean my fridge
Face it, you will be perfect with the tape anyway. Watching you work is always a pleasure. And yes, we knew you were going to properly finish the bell housing, transmission, and paint. It is why we watch, the attention to detail is amazing and wonderful.
oh, and the clear coat. I responded before the end. You rock Sarah!
+1 for the clearcoat on raw metal. 👍
I've been watching your videos for over a year now and I like them more and more!
That bell housing looked fantastic. Knew you wouldn't leave those ribs rough!
your attention to detail is awe inspiring. If I owned a restoration shop, I'd have you in charge of QC!
2UZ is one of the best engines ever made. I sold my Sequoia with 312K on it. No work on the engine other than timing belt/water pump services plus one coil pack. Fortunately I found another Sequoia with only 38K, one owner, and all service records to replace it.
Morning coffee with Sarah ! Awesome
Love the Iron Maiden font.
Those headers are really great pieces of art!
Wiring! It makes my brain shut down. I respect you and all those like you who enjoy wiring.
you need a few things:
diagrams
accessibility
time
a sense of pride in cleanliness
Then it’s actually very fun and a bit cathartic
Gotta love the Zipties reference lol
As a teen, I drove many, many of these Celicas.... I can't wait to see how this build turns out.
Thank you Sarah for your imagination to fizzle this into reality.
Primus reference, Linkin Park, Cross Fade, Eazy E, Iron Maiden font. Geez, music references are on fire today
Was the fume hood/astronaut a bit for the camera, or was that just Sarah being Sarah? Either way, it was great. That’s the kind of stuff that I think keeps a lot of us coming back to your channel - the work is real and detailed, and you’re real and goofy and dorky, and I think a lot of people relate to that.
Aluminum is a known neurotoxin. Grinding or sanding exposes you to a significant health hazard so wearing the hood/respirator unit protects her.
It's so impressive how you keep challenging yourself to add new and entertaining graphic elements to your editing. Plus, they're a lot of fun and appropriate to the project.
Monday mornings usually suck but they're waaaaay better with a Sarah-n-Tuned video to start the week.
As always, Sarah, a real pleasure watching you work. I look forward to every one of these. Also impressive -- not only an automotive genius, but an awesome video editor as well! 😊
Scotch-Brite should sponsor your channel.
3m makes scotch bright also 3m has polluted every fresh water source on earth with nearly 5000 forever chemicals PFOS & PFAS and others.
3m has killed more people than…
Yeah, getting sponsor is a shitshow, I gave up a long time ago.
Funny how my three em. killing the world comments got censored
@@SarahnTuned Lose money with all the time/hassles spent dealing with them
"By going in a crotch-face pattern"...
I died...🤣
Watching you standing on the bell housing with vice grips and a hammer brought back my youth in SCCA
Very cool rebuild and satisfying when one can do a project like this. Eazy-E T-shirt is GANGSTA!😎
Your videos never fail to inspire. No doubt most technicians would agree.
The transmission cleaning was magnificent. And grinding down the ribs on the transmission, then sanding them then blasting them, so they looked like they were cast like that was brilliant.
Clear coat is the perfect call. Raw is beautiful but even the cleanest hands will stain it. Car is looking insane.
i really cant wait to hear this beast start up :) such a classic marque of celica too, your attention to detail is second to none Sarah dont ever compromise that.
Love carefulling!
04:34 "Wrap this up like a bean burrito." Yes Sarah, we caught the reference. We were, however, waiting for a double entendre based on your video title, but it never came. (No pun intended. Ha! 😅🤣😂)
"Spitting " outside. That's a New Zealand description. USA "Sprinkling" . Love it all !!!
My folks were from Newfoundland and my dad said that all the time. It must go back to England or something.
My great grandmother: "pizzling"
Great work on sprucing up the transmission.
I always look forward to your videos, they make my day.
Your editing is off the scale! Always enjoy your vids. 🙂
Always admire how you're able to sneak peak upcoming reviewed vehicles. 🙂
I, for one, appreciate your tenacity. It makes perfect sense you painting the steel core of the transmission. I enjoy all aspects of these builds. You work really, effing hard.
Sarah I can honestly say your attention to details and your problem solving are some of the best on the web! Keep up the great content fine lady! 🛠 ☺ 👍
To hammer out dowel pins, may I suggest "Runnin' With the Devil" - Van Halen 1978. It really helps. Promise.
My favorite - wiring? Said NO MECHANIC ever! Sarah - your just built different lol.
Technician > Mechanic
I never thought that I'd be so invested in a build like I am with this Celica.
Thanks again... I don't know if you hear this enough but I appreciate your OCD attention to detail.
Thanks!
IT'S UPSIDE DOWN!!!
Flip your phone around.
@@SarahnTuned OK much better, that fixed it.
Just the greatest 🙂♥️
Another great video, loved the Initial D clip!
I had a 76 when I lived in Brussels. I drove it all over Europe for 4 years. I managed to hit a patch of black ice then hit a power pole head on. The engine tried to sit on my lap and my head smacked off of the steering wheel. Total right off. What I wouldn't give to have that car again.
Thank you so much for pronouncing “aluminium” correctly
This is my favorite cleaning show
RIP Chester Bennington (on the shirt). So sad. 🫶
HeR favorite part is WIRING... This woman is from another world 😮😮
As someone who once put headers in a V8, A Body Dodge, I feel your pain.
Who clicks "like" even before the end of the first advert? Because how would I not like a Sarah video?
Every build you do is great but this one goes above and beyond!!
I agree: Cleaned aluminum looks more like "new" than everything painted. And the clear will just keep it looking that way. This is coming along awesome!
Ream out the dowel holes on the bell housing, it will easier when installing the transmission
They're tight for a reason, only someone in a fly by night transmission shop would do that. Alignment is critical.
...and may never shift right if at all.
@@ramblerdave1339 THat was a hack comment eh lol
Haha, "Crossfade" band. I used to work with the lead singer, Ed. Since the band failed, he's been an IT geek.
Nice Peg reference.
You really have to respect the emphasis on quality, perfection, and originality that Sarah brings to her builds. First Class all the way!
An excellent way to start the day! Looking forward to the wiring videos! Yeah, yeah, I'm just wired wrong that way!
I am home with the flu and boy are you a treat, such energy plus OCD to the MAX and a crazy build , what could be bad. Thanks Dennis
I feel like the way Sarah talks to her viewers is as if we were right there in her garage. 👏
your editing, music and quips have gotten consistently better from video to video!! love the build ! love this channel!!! keep the metal : on!!!! lol
Sarah, miss, you don’t disappoint.
That grind wheel was nails on a chalkboard but then there s YOU satisfying the OCD in us all.
About time !!!
I'm so glad to find someone who rivals my OCD 🤣
So nice watching someone who cares about the attention to detail aspect, and works competently. Thanks for the videos, your build series are top tier 🤙
I'm never surprised when you go the extra mile. Great job
I normally pull a flywheel on, without the Loctite, torque them to snug then pull the bolts out one at a time and then apply lock tight, then final torque :)
Loving how this build is progressing so 🐾 some
This channel is one of my favorite automotive channels.
I really like how you light and camera position your shots.
Can’t wait to see her give the Celica the beans
Once people realize driving anything more than a couple decades old is basically like driving a floppy begging for death noodle, they worry a lot less about a few hammer bangs or cuts hahaha. I absolutely saw painting the transmission center section black coming.
Begging for Death Noodle is my band name.
@@SarahnTuned 😂 I make that joke so often. That and it was my nick name in highschool.
Sarah, when you were all hunched on top of the bell housing, the ole saying about the Monkey humpin a football came to mind !!!
My new favourite channel. I like your taste in cars, your attention to detail, your sense of humour, and you just seem to know so much.
I knew the Xtra clean, prep & paint were coming 🔥
I was listening to it on Sunday the 24th. My all time favourite Van Halen album. I'll be listening to it for the rest of my days. Thanks for the music that became the soundtrack of my life. 🤘
I've grenaded many W58s with aggressive clutches. Even though I've upgraded to a R154, the W58 is my favorite.
Agree, I really like the feel of the W58 when it was in my MA61 CelicaSupra.
So happy and cheerful in this vid. What's up 🤔😂🤣🤣😂
Love the Bill O'Reilly reference!
Love the LP shirt.
You are so weird and I love it !!! Wished there was more like you out there 🫶🏽♥️
This was my first car as a 16 year old in 1989. Damn I wish I still had mine. It was silver with a black interior and a standard transmission. Love this car!
Sarah is totally on point about expired condiments! I worked in the grocery industry for many years and during one of the grocery strikes I did work in the market and while I won't name stores it was incredible what I found! There were condiments on the store shelves being offered for sale that were 2 and even 3 years out of code. I pulled them all off the shelf and when the product was reordered they sent out a case of old expired product again which meant they weren't doing there job in the warehouse either. "Buyer beware" I still am very careful about expiration dates. Now back to Sarah and car rebuilds!
You are so funny, and totally amazing. I look forward to your videos. Keep up the great work and keep being you❤😊🎉
I am so excited for this build to finalize
This is so timely! I’m doing a T5 5-speed in a 66 Mustang and am doing the prep on the bell housing, adapter and transmission. Just ordered my red scotch brite’s. Keep up the great work. This build is epic!
I have run out of unique adjectives and accolades to praise your videos for the high quality work performed, witty commentary, and creative professional-grade production, soundtracks, and editing! 👏 Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
You're doing just fine sir.
Greetings from Scotland! THAT was a blast! You work like I used to work! Love your thought process and use of logic (yes you use logic). Education gives you degrees but nature gives you that kind of logic - great video, I'll be back! (I had to say that!)
I can never get enough of your attention to detail and your cleanliness while building PS ketchup does not belong in the refrigerator 🤪
Awesome graphic additions!
