Petition to have companies send the manual version of their cars to Sarah.
Also I almost popped a rib laughing at the 3-burst comment at the full auto bird
I own a 2004 Jetta TDI with 303000 miles. It’s be the best car that I have ever owned.
I own the 2003 MK4 TDI with only 200K miles with the legendary ALH engine, best car ever imho.
The fact that it lasted that long is only because it’s diesel. The gas one would have been melted down a decade ago
Got a 14 Jetta Sportwagen TDI, 6M, only have 175k on it, got 46.3 mpg on a 3k mile trip. Love it! 😊
Back before emissions ruined diesels in the US
You mean the Volkswagen Bora
I always love the fact that Sarah gives every car - regardless of price point - a fair and honest shake.
Sarah’s ability to match her attire to the vehicle is 🔥.
Mini skirt!! High heels, nails, makeup and doing mechanics WOOOOOOW A REALLY DREAM OF GIRL!!!!!
I think you're easily one of the best car reviewers. Most of the others are pompous, and moan about stuff that doesn't matter. You have values similar to mine.
Real-World point of view of average person who can't afford to by a shiny new car every six months,... And the real world point of view of someone who'd rather save up the dollars to buy performance parts for a car they love then splurge on the newest toy out there.
Most car reviewers are deluded and disconnected from reality.
Most of these "car reviewers" are actually Car Representers, not reviewers. this channel feels like an actual car reviewer.
Check out the car care nut reviews, he’s the best.
@@Policearegood-mt6kxOh My Brother Testify !!!
Myself and my coworkers are listening to sarah at work this morning. They will understand.
finally, a positive review of this car. i've been a fan of sarah-n-tuned since its beginning. my car, 2019 jetta, 1.4 TURBO, SIX year warranty, EIGHT speed automatic! i paid $16500 new. drove philadelpohia to atlantic city and back with air on 80 mph? got 46mpg. have gotten 55mpg. german car, handles nicely, quiet, comfortable. almost sub 7 second acceleration. drive it like a diesel, never over 4000 (since the shift takes a moment it hits 4500). what a blast. thanks sarah, you figured this car out.
Hi John, Does your Jetta makes wind noise around A pillar area? The sounds is noticeable at 70mph.
My son has the 2019 SEL. Zero unscheduled trips to the dealer. 80,000 miles. I have an Atlas, same story. My wife is getting the GLI Autobahn Manual in a couple of months.
The SEL gets a steady 40+ mpg. We don’t need no stinkin’ Tesla.
My son has the 2019 Sportwagen and we love it!
Just saw this, Your a lucky one! My wife and I have the same model and nothing but issues. they seem to pop up every 10K miles for us. and it has been maintained by VW from date we purchased it.
Have any of your issues left you stranded on the side of the road? IF so please explain what your "issues" are/were?@@philv930
@@philv930 Sorry to hear that. I’ve had better luck than my last two Hondas. I had a new 92 Bonneville that I had repeated problems on. My neighbor liked it and had his for 200,000 miles. I had mine about 10,000.
I had a ‘19 Atlas bought back. YMMV
The interior in the Jetta is pretty damn impressive!
Even without the Possum Gooch Fur lined doors.
I really like the ridges in the hood too. Pretty solid car for 30k.
You can actually get them for around $21k if you don't need all the little add ons. Best deal in the market today. Very underrated car.
Solid car? VW is ranked 27th out of 30 in terms of reliability, according to Consumer Report.
@@eppyz $21,435 Mazda3 is $24,170 and comes with a lot of standard features not to mention it's 7th most reliable brand vs. 27th for VW out of 30 companies. They also didn't go full woke after being busted for diesel gate.
They also rated Hyundai/KIA above Mazda and Hyundai/KIA are garbage. ALready commented to why in my experience on top of the THOUSANDS of people that had to have and continue to need new motors in these crap cars.@@DroneStrike1776
I own this car. 2024. I've been in a Jetta since 1989. A lot of people buy the Jetta. I paid 24K out the door.
I work on these everyday in a local VW dealer in Tucson. I have the 2024 40th Anniversary Edition Jetta GLI. I love it. 🙌
Went next generation coming out?
yeah - I wanna know! Are they gonna give us the mk8 GLI engine? - AWD?
The gooch is the most luxurious and highest performing part of the possum
So how well does her gooch perform?
I recently got my first ‘new’ car, after countless cheap fun cars, a manual GLI, it was cheaper than many boring cars and is a treat each time I drive it.
I know people with older VWs, It is not a treat when the plastic manifold fails every few years and the repairs are very expensive and it ends up being a money pit.
I’ve got a CPO warranty that will cover my ownership, this is my tenth VW, I’ve had my ‘never again’ moments, then find myself with another. Sometimes you just have to give in to the madness!
@@carlhokanson9160Had my GLI for 10 years, 128k miles and besides sucky peeling paint, no issues.
Not a treat when VW is ranked 27th out of 30 by Consumer Report. My niece has a VW CC with about 90k miles on it and it's constantly in the shop because of the electrical gremlins.
We don’t have the Jetta in Europe so I bought the Polo GTI (2.0L turbo petrol - 210hp) and now I’m looking at VW’s offerings in the US as I quite like the way the Jetta looks.
I love seeing cost effective reviews just like high performance devices. I'll never able to afford an expensive car, but for a new device this could be in range and is surprisingly nice! Thanks!
I think there may be more to the console white interior than just cute contrast. As soon as you showed that I immediately thought how brilliant a white interior is because that will allow you to see down inside much better than the normal black interior. More light!
Yes Yes YES! finally someone gets it. Now if only they would do Backpacks and Handbags so you can see what is in there. Humans tend to line up behind one another and it is not comforting at all.
2017 VW Golf Alltrack. 1.8 TSI, DSG transmission. 115,000 miles. Regular service with OEM materials in the owner's garage, not a single visit to a dealer, no warning lights ever. Looks, feels, drives like new. Love my VW!
VWs rock. My 3 door 2016 VW Golf MK7 1.8t with a stage one tune cruises at 140mph with no problem. Almost nine years old and I have had zero mechanical failures so far.
Love this review style - you actually cover way more than some of the other entertainment-orientated review channels but still made it fun without giving it a forced feeling. And you know your stuff when it comes to the mechanics which is more than most other channels can say lol
It’s a great example of attention to detail can mitigate a lot of material choices. Cheap doesn’t have to feel like it.
Maint. Is most important for any car. I bought a brand new VW Fox in 1989 and put over 300k miles on her with no issues at all except regular maint. Of 3k oil changes with OEM oil filter and graphite oil additive.
Only mech. Work was new rotors/brakepads and wheel bearings replaced along with shifter bearings replaced at the hand shifter. After manually shifting for 250k miles it needed it but the clutch never had to be replaced only adjusted. Best car i ever owned next to my toyotas of today.
2019 Jetta S here. 6sp manual. Was under $17,000 when I bought it new!! One trip to the dealer for warranty for an emissions purge valve (stupid EPA crap). 62,000 miles. No issues at all. It's been great. Best of all it drives like a VW!
It's been beyond great.
It is a VW car.
I've driven, and owned nothing but VW's since I first started driving in 1976, I have 4 VWs in my fleet, including a '78 Super Beetle Convertible. Thanks for your review of the Jetta.
I lost it at "possum gooch fur..." Your descriptors are so damn funny.
Totally laughed out loud at that one!
"3 round burst, bird!" lol
A. 10 next week. 😂😂
Sarah you are quickly becoming my favorite automobile reviewer. Love the humor!
The first new car I ever bought was a manual 94 Jetta III LE - exactly 30 years ago... The MSRP of the base model Jetta in 94 was almost $14k which is about $29k in today's dollars, and it was a much simpler car (manual windows, no ABS, read drums, etc..) had less power, worse fuel economy. It's great they still make a car like this at such affordable price.
Great video, Sarah!! Tkanks for showing!!
Nice review. Glad you gave the car a fair shake. Most reviewers just whine about it being "boring" because the look never really changes.
Very enjoyable and insightful
Thank you Sarah
Probably the most in depth car review I've ever watched. I'm not even looking to buy a new car. I'll send this to anyone looking to buy a new car though. Love volkswagens.
VW has a special place in your heart. TY Sarah! You're always the bomb.
Happy Monday Sarah!!
Thanks for making Monday and Fridays awesome!!
Stay excellent!!😎
I’m really enjoying your latest video drop schedule. That Jetta is a great value that definitely shows its VW/Audi lineage. “Drunk robot”… 🤣 Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
I have a bare bones 22' sport 6 speed and love it. I have almost 50k miles on it and so far no issues. Mileage is ASTOUNDING... not even trying I can get 50mpg going to work(55 mile drive, over a mountain too). Love VW Jettas AND your channel ❤❤❤
The sport has the gtis XDS front diff? Or am i mistaken
@kilovwdude6457 Unfortunately, that is something I don't know. Whatever it is, it's working great.
So happy to see you convert the metric measurements to SAE for those of us who are not metric centric. I was getting tired of stopping the video to divide your measurements by 25.4 to get the SAE number. Thanks!
always on point with your work, well done
I got a Jetta sport with a 6 speed manual in December and I love the thing.
I have a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta Sport 1.8t. It currently has 122k trouble free miles. I’m the second owner and bought it at 38k miles in 2019. The car is still driving strong, has been super reliable and still a joy to drive. I’m currently looking to upgrade to a current gen Jetta but not sure if I need to or not because my car is doing just fine. If anything, it would be purely a tech upgrade.
Thorough clear and concise. Love the engineering details you provide. Nice review!
We bought a 2022 for my daughter. For what it is the power is great, cruises nice on the highway and if you go 65 it will get 46 mpg. The car has 36k miles and so far zero issues just the three oil changes the first two were free.
Your reviews are top tier well done 👌
My daughter bought a used 2017 SE and the 1.4L in that thing is impressive. Not much seems to have changed in 7 years. When I was younger (in the 70's) - 7 years was an eternity in car development/evolution.
Excellent technicals reviews...just subscribed !!
Love your video's Sarah! Please continue to make videos, of affordable cars.
Love starting my day with a little Miss Sarah n Tuned.😊
Mr. Not Miss
I like the way you do the reviews, and all of the knowledge you bring. Also the humor. I think you are great! New sub
Great job, as always, Sarah
The Jetta is a great car. I wish VW would give you a GLI to review. I love your car reviews👍🏾. I have a 2019 GLI with the 7 speed DSG and it is a total sleeper. Great power from the 2.0 Turbo and incredible fuel mileage averaging over 30 mpg. Plus VW gave it a better sounding exhaust for the refresh a few years ago. Keep up the awesome work.
Love your thorough comedic reviews. By the way, the 2 Tone center console compartment-
makes it easier to find dark items,
Something I appreciate. 🎉
Absolutely the best reviews to watch .
Very intresting review. In germany you´ll never see this car it´s only build for US market. So it was fun and intresting to see and listen to your review. Thx Sarah for your awesome work.
Another excellent review as per usual...and yet another inspired choice of shoes. They are absolute fire.
USB and USB-C ports for rear seat are inside the center console with notch for cables
I have a 2021 Jetta SEL and I love it!
I really like that Jetta. Nice styling and affrodable-ish. Love you too Sarah. Thank you for the review.
I enjoy watching your videos, very professional car reviews and informative.
"The 2024 Volkswagen Jetta has a predicted reliability score of 81 out of 100 from US News Cars, which is considered "Great". However, Consumer Reports predicts that the 2024 Jetta will be less reliable than the average new car, based on data from the 2021 model and Volkswagen brand scores. Consumer Reports also gave the Jetta 3 out of 5 marks for predicted reliability, with the only major issue being the in-car electronics."
These Monday morning posts really give my heart the beans😅
I had a 1981 Jetta GLI (engine and transmission parts from the Golf GTI) ex- swiss police vehicule, it was such as cool car... Cool to see VW still proposing this model
This is a car with a nice interior, creature comforts, good fuel economy, and a whiff of torque. Just what normal people want.
Needs a twin turbo v8
40th Anniversary edition with manual, $29,310, including shipping. 2L engine, 228 hp.
Bought a 2019 Jetta s new , awesome car. But i do compete in scca auto cross and time trials. Upgraded tires to bf Goodrich g force comp as 2tires 225 55r 16 tires and hawk performance pads. Huge difference. Definitely runs better on premium fuel, and still getting between 42 to 50 mpg.vw did their homework. A great passenger car 🏁
Like your informational review, especially to the chassis, and power train
My brother has a Golf with the 1.5L turbski, 6 speed manual. The clutch and shifting is just right. Such a joy to drive. Pity press cars aren't manual.
You did get a shout out from LR Time, in their Sunday upload. A German couple with a sense of humour!
GREAT content again! Thanks

Love the hood and all it’s creases!
In this shot it looks two tone gray and blue.
My friend has a 2023 Jetta sport, it’s a great car, aside from being a lower trim with inadequate headlights for driving anywhere without street lights. Despite dating back to 2019 the current generation still feels decently fresh and gets impressive gas mileage, I’d say it’s a great car for people in urban areas and is a mature yet fun car for people of all ages.
"Suede and possum Guch fur" 🤪This lady is so funny! Best car review ever.
I have a 2019 6 spd Jetta S. The shock absorbers are far and away the worst I’ve encountered on any new car but aside from that, it’s been such an excellent car. Well over 40 mpg on the highway and excellent torque too. Great seats and solid construction.
I had a 2016 model blue colour 1.4 Tsi Jetta a wonderful car. I sold it in 2021. I miss it
I have 2013 Passat Wolfsburg edition = and I love it it drives like a dream
Just the greatest channel of the hardest working content creator on CZcams 🙂 much respect ✊ AND the best looking in stiletto heels 👠
🏁
Them strappy shoes get highest Penguin score ever
Not having to toggle shport mode every time I enter the vehicle would be great.
The beltline on new Jettas look sharp enough to cut glass. Not bad looking, though.
Totally agree on the whole "wish people would pay more attention to cars" and the "you don't need an SUV to haul stuff" bits. I've hauled a Marshall stack, pedalboard, guitar, and backup amp head in my WRX.
The Jetta has always been one of my most favorite cars. I’ve owned 4 of them all with manual transmissions ❤️
Great review, spot on with everything. I picked up a Sport with the 6MT for $24K several months ago and I'm consistently surprised at how nice it is, especially for the price. With all manual VWs going away I'd pick one up now if you're thinking about it.
Great review; thank you.
I have the 2019 GLI version. It is the first year of this model and I have enjoyed driving it. I have a few complaints after almost five years of driving but don't plan on getting rid of the car anytime soon. If you haven't driving the GLI you might want to do so just to compare. Mine has the 6 speed manual. One of the reasons I bought the grey ghost was the manual. It is a fun car to drive.
My 2011 Jetta TDI has a 14 gallon fuel tank with 52 miles per gallon highway it has quite the range , the diesel has a huge amount of torque making it fun to drive.
Rented a Jetta to drive out to Palm Springs from LA did 80 the whole time rock solid car.
Excellent and entertaining review as usual, I owned a VW Rabbit in my younger years (it lasted over 200,000 miles!), but have not owned a VW since, I would seriously consider this car if I was in the market, looks great!
Sarah your dad jokes are hilarious especially when you laugh at them yourself 🤣😂
I really like your reviews. You miss nothing.
Sarah the Great! 🎉
why didn't I find this channel before?
Objective analises and more. That's great.
Fantastic review and the price per value is tremendous compared to other offerings... Nice!
my last Jetta was a 2016 SE with a 5 speed stick, very soft ride but dont put anything in the back or it'll drag!!!
Love your videos Sarah.
My first car was a Jetta 2013 SE with the 5cylinder a baby Lamborghini. Was the first taste of German x Mexico collaboration. Now a got a tuned GTI with kw v3 suspension, a baby Porsche. VW gang for life
Very comprehensive review 🫡
Thank you Miss Sara.
I so look forward to the bolster test...thank you
Thanks Sarah!🌻🐧
I had a 2017 Jetta - by far (and I am not even kidding) the best car I've owned. When I was going to upgrade to a different car, I had what I could best describe as separation anxiety! I am leaning again toward the latest Jetta. You can't make a case against reliability and beauty
Stunning craftsmanship.
Will take a fresh look at vw! Nice car! Thanks Sarah
I leased a base 6MT Jetta for 2 years for $49/month on some crazy deal. It was the best $49/month I ever spent. With a manual the car is actually quite fun and it's solid for being a "cheap" car.
Before I got my WRX, I had a Jetta. It was a wonderful car!
great review ,thanks
I have a 2022 GLI. Great car, except for the intermittent glitchy infotainment system. Excellent power and fun to drive with the DSG transmission. Drive normal and get great fuel mileage.
