    I have a lot of nostalgia for tooie. Growing up my cousin had kazooie and I didn’t find it as fun when I would go over and play it. I thought banjo tooie was better because it had more moves the movement felt more fluent it has a lot of backtracking but you have access to more moves, eggs, bigger worlds, more playable characters, better graphics. The pros outweighs the cons for me. It may be my favorite game of all time, I have it on Xbox 360 Xbox one original n64 switch emulators on phone and pc. I love this game

    I love this version of doom and the ps1 version. They both had ambient soundtracks that made it very immersive and spooky. when i finally played the og doom I was a little taken back by the midi metal music and if Im honest I didnt like it that much. I just played this for the first time in 100%’d it today. I can’t say I will go through the torture of doing a 100% play through ever again 😅 but there is a lot of fun to be had in this if you just play it. Every character shines with endless personality with subtle animations in spots that took me hours to notice. The factory and Crystal levels were my favorites. I was impressed by the amount of unique textures to capture a baked lighting feel to the world. I think you said it perfectly, as long as you go in with the intent of exploring at your own pace, you will have fun.

  • @letsdiscussitoversometea8479

    Here's an unpopular opinion that I don't mind sharing; Ocarina Of Time is cr*p. The levels are too daunting to go through - particularly Jabu Jabu and Shadow Temple. They feel like a chore that leaves a sour taste in the mouth when considering revisiting them. There's still a lot to commend the game for, but the dungeons themselves are something I'd just rather watch somebody *_else_* go through. They don't have the same uplifting vibe that Rare games such as Banjo Kazooie/Conker's Bad Fur Day/DK64 have. Every once in a while, a serious stage/game is good, but not as something to want to come back to again and again. The characters have genuine depth and meaning, but they never let their hair down. Ever. And that makes it hard to feel any sort of warmth towards.

      @letsdiscussitoversometea8479 Před 6 dny

      @@n64glennplant I'm always reluctant to disclose that sort of information, though what I _would_ say, is that I was *very* much into the system around that time, mentally speaking. OOT was - I _think_ - about game no. 8 I had on the system at that time, and my interest hadn't wained. I actually last picked up three titles at a stall market in about 2013 - though the majority were really between 1997 and 1999 (which was the year I bought OOT). I suppose your question relates to how "placed" I was mentally at the time of the game's launch? Let there be no question - I absolutely LOVED the game when I first played it (a retail store had an N64 set up for players to try it out) in 1998. Admittedly, I did struggle with some of the levels (the Fire Temple took a ridiculously long time), and I had to use guides/assistance to get me through it, but I was quite a seasoned player by this point in time though.

Being that shadow man is another acclaim title I'm expecting more of the same and I just don't want to do it... I'm doing the turok games because I played him on the N64 but I could never complete any of them because he had 64 controller controls turned me away too much so I resorted to using cheats.
