- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is a 2002 N64 skateboarding video game and the third instalment in the Tony Hawk's series. It was developed by Edge Of Reality and published by Activision. It was the final official release for the Nintendo 64 in North America.

That trimmed down version of Ace of Spades has lived in my brain for over 20 years. Still hilarious how frequently it popped back to "AND DON'T FORGET THE JOOOOKER"
haha I know what you mean, burned into anyones memory from that era of gaming and life in general I think
I remember going into a Walmart in late 2002 to look at all the cool Gamecube games I couldn't afford in the glass case, and seeing in the N64 section a copy of THPS 3 sitting there. My mind was blown as I didn't ever even hear a peep about the game coming out for the console, especially nearly a year after the other 6th gen console versions. Always will go down as the fun bit of trivia as the last NA N64 release officially.
its funny because even a lot of the press magazines etc had all left the n64 by then to focus on gamecube content, I remember it very well
I picked this game up for the original PlayStation a couple years ago and was pleasantly surprised by how well it held up. The PS2 version may come out on top but this version is still a lot of fun.
Yeah they hold up great still I think
A most commendable effort considering the limitations of the N64.
For me it was the gamecube version, Played the hek out of it in a now defunct local game rental shop.
My fav in the series were 2 (Which even got me into tech decks and skateboarding) and Underground 1 for all the freedom and customization it added.
its crazy how many kids back then got into skateboarding because of the series i think
@@n64glennplantI’m definitely one of them! Started skating in 2001 mainly because of the Tony Hawk games. Still skate occasionally to this day!
So bizarre that a Dreamcast version of THPS3 wasn’t made.
It’s astonishing, and speaks to how successful the N64 was, that its’ last game was released well after support for the Dreamcast ended!
I know that’s crazy right!
By that point I was on the Dreamcast and probably close to PS2 once Sega announced the demise of the Dreamcast. Seeing the next generation of consoles after the N64 was an eye opener and one we will probably never see again. It always interested me though seeing a new game on an old console. It might have been inferior but it was still fun seeing what they could do
I had the DC on launch Christmas but I never properly clicked with it, although I do remember running a crazy long phone cable to the console to get it online
These late Nintendo 64 games look absolutely incredible, almost like the missing link between N64 and Playstation 2. Great review Glenn!!
Link between N64 and Dreamcast I'd say.
I think so too, always love seeing end of console work and just how much they can push the hardware etc
Conker's Bad Fur Day and Donkey Kong 64, frame rate aside, do look like DC games
@@IcarianXsame engine! Although conker is WAY better optimized
My biggest Tony Hawk experience is of playing Tony Hawk’s pro skater 1 on N64 for hours and hours right when I got the system so my favorite will always be that version. I have the sequel on PS1 but it just doesn’t feel the same. I think Tony Hawk is at its best with compressed audio files, basic but charming visuals and a funky controller to play it on. So with that all being said, at some point I really want to buy this. Not only because of the significance of it being the final N64 game to release in the US but also because I feel like I’d enjoy this version the most out of any other version of the game
its always like a nice final hurrah for the console to get a title like this that really didn't have much of a place to be on the console so long after the next gen launches
The OG XBox release was the definitive way to play, but playing this version years after the proper versions were already burned into my brain-and having played the first two on the 64 to death in my younger years-I have a sense of appreciation for some of the changes. While a lot of it was for limitations, the layout changes to levels like Suburbia and Canada were extremely interesting to me. I just wish that 3 stuck with the more RPG-like cash system of 2, rather than the more streamlined collectathon gimmick of finding points and decks.
I was always on and off with the original xbox as I didn't one one till midway through its cycle but I know my brother played the heck out of this on xbox
Hearing "If You Must" in the background of this video made me way too happy. Another great review. Glenn's back with a vengeance. :)
Rock on! Great tune
Hell yeah the final n64 game let's do this.
Final in NA, Europe was Mario party 3 and Japan was Bomberman
@@n64glennplantto be fair to the other guy North America did receive their final game last. Both Japan and Europe got their final games earlier
@@n64glennplant true.
I really like this one despite its necessary cutbacks. Bam Margera did a meet and greet a few weeks ago at my local game and retro toy shop in New Jersey and I got my copy signed. This is the only one he's in on the N64. Fun time. Great review as always Glenn. 👍
Amazing work 👏🏻😃
Im gonna play N64 tonight.
Have fun!
Woa! Glenn has been on fire lately!
filling peoples backlogs before I take December off for the holidays
It was one of the last N64 games, it was fun to play
last in north america, in Europe our last was Mario party 3 and Japan had bomber man was their final goodbye
THPS 3 was my launch game of choice on the GameCube. No regrets, it's probably the last THPS I truly liked and my overall favorite in the series. There were some others after that were fun, but they just didn't have that same level of awesomeness the first three games did.
Same for me, but for the PS2, fantastic game, best in the series.
I still want to check out 4 which I haven't played yet myself
3 was best
All I remember about Tony Hawk 3 is "Blitzkrieg Bop"
great tune though!
Last US N64 launch right here. pretty wild
An interesting title for sure hey
Glenn on fire!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
for another week or so, then holidays break
I liked playing THPS 3 a lot.
It was fun and the soundtrack of indie rock and underground hip-hop always smacks.
yeah its a soundtrack that defines an era in life I think for many people
Never knew the N64 version of THPS3 existed until recently. Even more so for the PSX version of THPS3&4. I played the GCN version to death back when. Truly, these were some of the best games of their time.
yeah it certainly takes me back to a very specific era in my life
Although I often site the N64 as the console I have the most nostalgia for, the PS2, XBox, Gamecube and Dreamcast generation is the last time I felt any real child-like joy or excitement for gaming. In my old age I prefer to play games from bygone eras. The 1st time I ever played a Tony Hawk game was when I got THPS3 on the PS2. Great console and great game.
you know I think that was the last significant jump in terms of raw power and visuals. after the gamecube to say Wii or even ps2 to ps3 the upgrades seemed far less impressive and more a step up than a giant leap like we were used to getting
@@n64glennplant Yeah...I've been gaming since we got an Atari 2600 back in 1982/83 when I was 6 or 7. That was the only console I had until holidays 88/89 when my older brother gave me his NES when he came to visit. The visuals from the 2600 to the NES were mind blowing. You no longer had to use your imagination with the NES. The the SNES and Genesis came out and the graphics were twice as powerful as the NES! Parallax scrolling was now common in games and the SNES had pseudo 3D with its Mode 7. Then the PS1 came out, but even back then I wasn't really a fan of its 3D games and character models. But going from Super Mario World and Super Mario Kart to Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64, now THAT was mind blowing. All of a sudden we were playing in real 3D environments. Mario 64 is still a great looking game in my opinion.
But I agree 100% - the visual step up from the PS1 and N64 to the PS2, XBox, Gamecube and Dreamcast was absolutely stunning. All of a sudden I felt like I was watching a real football game with Madden 2001 on the PS2. The way the players looked, the stadiums, the fans; the way the players moved. It was a completely mind blowing experience. And then the Wii, XBox 360 and PS3 came out and it felt like it was just a moderate graphical upgrade. Really, that generation's true upgrade was how online play was completely integrated. It was built in to the consoles. I used to play some Call of Duty online, but as an old school gamer I've always preferred having friends over and playing on the same console in the same room on the same TV. It's like a communal experience that online game completely lacks. And as you've said, every generation since has been nothing more than a slight graphical upgrade, and maybe a better online experience.
I still haven't upgraded to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. It just doesn't interest me anymore. Your review of Xeno Crisis on the N64 got me WAY more excited for a video game than I've been for just about any game for this generation.
@@n64glennplant Sorry my reply is so lengthy.
PS2 version is on a 4.7GB DVD-ROM. N64 version used audiovisual compression to cram it all in a 32MB cartridge. PS1 and GameCube versions were alco compressed but not as heavily as the N64 version.
exactly, its still a surprise we even got the game at all!
I love how the trilogy have elements of platforming and it works
yeah there's some super creative objectives that are a ton of fun to try and achieve
"Age: 40"
Same here, fellow N64 games enjoyer!
haha im not quite yet!
I had both n64 and ps2 ahhh we had it good in the 90s early 2000s, i use to love cheat codes and skate around with wolverine😂⚡️
Wolverines a blast isn’t he
@@n64glennplant yes indeed fam the good ole days⚡️
Never played the N64 version, but THPS 2 & 3 on PC were huge parts of my young teenage years.
I downloaded and played the community versions on PC some years ago and they played really great. Were still a blast to play through!
THPS 2's soundtrack with THPS 3's gameplay and levels is probably my favourite mix. :)
cool to see someone who played the PC versions!
@@n64glennplant Indeed... there were a few of us. haha
Not that many though, in comparison to the console versions. :)
I still remember how I used my very first PC gamepad, a Guillemot Dual Analog, for it.
it was the final N64 game made, when this port came nobody except for the longtime N64 gamers who stuck until the final end really got this port as gamers had moved on to the gamecube and so did Nintendo,
they resued the Tony Hawk 2 engine for this but it was over for the Nintendo 64
yeah, we didn't even get this in Europe out last game was Mario party 3
@@n64glennplantwow
My uncle works for Activision and he said there's a secret Lip Trick you can do called a Glenn Plant if you name your custom character "Glenny P Yo!!!!!!"
how did you get that leaked to you! it was supposed to be a secret just for me
I remember being so surprised to see it release on n64 9 months after I had already been playing it on the GC. I just thought “how!?” But then read the reviews and was like, “ok, that makes sense.” Glen describes it exactly as I remember it, even though I never played it, lol.
they probably realised there was some money to be made still on n64 and especially as the money was rolling in from the next gen versions it was a no brainer
The 90's were so "extreme". If this game was made today it would be called "Tony Hawk's Tide pod eater"
dam those tide pod kids!
Glenn is flooding us with early Christmas presents. So glad you are back Glenn!!!
I plan to take much of December off for the holidays to lining up content in November to compensate
I remember a glitch I once had with the N64 version. I was in the middle of a vert, and my character got stuck in mid air. When the time ran out, the game just kept going, as it let's you finish your trick before finishing the level, but as I was stuck in mid air, still able to do tricks, it never ended, lmao
megaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa combooooooooooooooo
8:43 Fun fact: Neversoft was originally developing THPS3 for the PlayStation in mind, but partway through development it was moved to the PlayStation 2, causing Shaba Games to take over the development of the PlayStation version. Therefore, the beta layouts stayed for the latter version. Though the PS2 and PC ports are the "real" way to play THPS3, the GameCube and Xbox versions exist, and perform better than the PS2 version anyways. Also, the Xbox version has the Oil Rig level not found in other versions.
I guess the PlayStation and N64 versions happened because the sixth generation platforms (but the Dreamcast) weren't widely available yet, as getting one in 2001/2002 was difficult enough. Locking THPS3 to just the sixth-gen platforms (but not the Dreamcast) wasn't such a good idea, but many players did experience the PlayStation version of THPS3. If only Neversoft designed THPS3 with the Dreamcast in mind, even if Sega cut support for it in March 2001...
LOVE this game on PS2!!!
I’ve always been curious what playing the N64 version would be like. And it’d definitely be a cool collector’s item to have since it was the last N64 game!
Also, an N64 exclusive level is another cool reason to pick it up.
Hopefully you give it a try - you’ll likely enjoy it despite the cut content etc
Awesome reviews dude! And yeah if I’m ever lucky enough to find a copy at a reasonable price I’ll definitely get it.
I love the n64 and the memories that are getting further from me when I first got it. This game is still great on the n64, but it was at that time it was being replaced with the GameCube and when I seen the graphics, my 11 year old brain couldn't believe it.
I got the ps2 version rather than gamecube. I had gamecube, my housemate had ps2 and my brother and dad got xbox
You Are back and on fire men 🎉
for a short time, ill be taking December off for the holidays
More popup in this game than my duvet in the morning
hahahah that's a good one
I love the fact that The Ramones song Blitzkrieg Bop is intact in the THPS3 N64 soundtrack just compressed to oblivion in order to fit onto an N64 Cartridge.
yeah they couldn't let that not be in here
You need only 3 things to make a good Tony Hawk game.
1) banging music
2) solid skate mechanics
3) fun, practical maps
Fail at one of those and the haters, wrongly or rightly, will eat your game alive.
you know that's right, its funny how many times they got it wrong though with gimmicks etc
THPS3 was a great send-off to the classic trilogy, the N64, and generally that era of gaming. While yes I skipped over this on the N64, it still looks like in the same level of quality of the previous two ports, which were great. Granted the n64 is generally considered the "inferior" version.
agreed, its still nice to go back for a nostalgia pop to play this any time any system tho
It was pretty ballzy of Activision to release THPS3 on N64 back in 02! I wonder how a Dreamcast bersion could've looked and played like had a version like that been released. Sadly, Dreamcast was discontinued before Activision could've considered such a project!
I know what you mean, you just have to look at games like shadow man to see the graphical jump between n64 and DC!
I played the hell out of this one on my GameCube. It's one of my favs. Last month or so, out of curiosity, I tried out the N64 version just to see how cut back it is, and was pleasantly surprised by how much of this 6th-gen-at-heart title the devs could fit on the previous gen. The GameBoy Advance version is also quite impressive for what it is. At some point I did get THPS 3 on the PC. It was okay... A bit buggy, but at least it ran fine and I got to hear my fav song from the game "96 Quite Bitter Beings". Love them guitar riffs! Nowadays I just play the game on Dolphin (GC emulator). I'd play it on PCSX2 (PS2 emulator), but something's up with its graphics.
CKY were cool, more of a skeletor vs beast man fan myself 😜
Haha!
I actually had the ps1 version and loved it ! Its the same game as n64 but at least you get the full sound track and awesome intro (same as the ps2) + the bonus videos for every tape collected . Was a fun moment in my childhood 😀
I think all 3 define a certain period in a lot of people’s childhood / young adulthoods
I have those mixed feelings as well and as such, it's still one of the few N64 games I've yet to add to my collection. I used to play a THPS game with a friend, but I've since forgotten exactly which game that was, but I know it wasn't on the N64 due to the better music quality.
its a shame this ones becoming really expensive again with collectors
I just found out today that this was on n64.
As I kid I had no idea at all
I always think of Tony hawks as a ps1 series
THPS3 was the only one in the series I owned, and it was for the GameCube. I was never able to legitimately complete it, but I had a ton of fun with it when I was young, despite also being terrible at the gameplay.
I think its one of those games that in a way its always still fun o play even if you're not great at it
Yup I played PS2 version first. Absolutely great game tons of unlockables and secrets! Noticed the skateboard wheels and trucks are one cylindrical shape on N64 lol kinda looks like a 3DS game.
man I remember sinking hours into the ps2 version as my housemate got the console on launch day and so wed spend hours on ps2
If you must - Del the funky homosapien omg lol
core memories unlocked
The PS2 version was one of my few games I owned, and I absolutely loved it. I can't imagine going back to the N64 version after getting the full experience.
Yeah it’s a big step back alright
I had moved on to the GameCube for THPS3.
I was next gen by that point too plus this didn't get a PAL release and was not interested in importing it for n64
It's the last brand new n64 game I ever bought. Me and my brother played the hell out of it.
and think, at that time you probably didn't realise an era was coming to an end
I primarily grew up with the PlayStation 1 version that I owned in around mid-2002, which was obviously similar to the N64 version, but had more music tracks included, although not in the same number as found on the Next-Gen versions. Yes, I had seen the PS2 version via the German GameStar PC magazine when I saw a preview of the PC version (based on the PS2 version) when it was coming out back in early 2002, around the time I saw previews of the then-upcoming PC version of GTA III in the same magazine.
It was always a blast for me as a young 11-year-old playing the game (the PS1 version anyways) and listening to Blitzkrieg Pop, Papa Roach, The Mad Capsule Markets, Rollins Band and A.F.I. while skating through LA and Rio at sunset (always fitting for me), and even skating the streets of Rio itself at night downhill from the Statue of Christ The Redeemer to a pool with skyscraper buildings in the background after completing Career mode with Geoff Rowley. Even skating around an empty skate park with Church and K-Mart settings was also a blast for me. The Church setting more especially as it always gave me ShadowMan-vibes.
my wife did some missionary work in belo Horizonte during her university years, I have never been to Brazil but would like to one day!
@@n64glennplant I eventually did get to play the N64 version when I was using the Project64 Emulator in ca. 2005 and discovered that the game also saw a release on the N64, which I played and saw how similar it was to the PS1 version, only to find out that, oh...... A.F.I. is gone from the N64 version entirely, which made me feel very disappointed. The storage limitations pretty much speak for themselves. I will always stick with the PS1 version since it does include A.F.I., and not having A.F.I. in the N64 version makes the LA and Rio stages feel rather baron and dull in my experience.
My guys back!
I loved the first 3 THPS, especially on the 64. I have fond memories of getting it [edit: it being THPS1] day one from the Chapel Hill Mall Toys R Us and spending that weekend at my buddy's house popping gas station energy pills, practically main lining Mountain Dew and smoking Marlboro reds. Good times, good times lol
been back a few weeks now, think this was the 5th or 6th video ive done the past few weeks....seems like a lot of peoples sub feeds are trying to keep up haha
This talk of trimmed down music makes me think of Shadows of the Empire and how i have grown to love those trimmed down loops of songs, haha. I only got into this series cause the first game had a blue cartridge, and collecting vhs tapes was very fun. But forget ps2, the dreamcast graphics for this series were jaw droppingly sharp. Ill go to N64 for nostalgia but ill jump to DC for a complete experience.
Know what you mean, SOTE soundtrack works better though I think because it has the main motif parts of the songs, with the soundtrack here it’s like the first 2 minutes then cuts sadly
@@n64glennplant Oh nooo, that is pretty disappointing. As much as I love the N64 I do end up caving for the complete OST experience for most games that made it to PS1 as well. Toy Story 2 for example sounds fantastic but just not as good in its N64 midi file sound.
I wish they’d make a complete Tony hawk 3 with all the levels from all the versions same with 4 it would be great to have
Like they did with the 1 and 2 remaster?
@@n64glennplant do them seperately so they can have every level and character from every version
I'm absolutely ecstatic to see another masterpiece posted! 🎮❤
thanks James!

Unfortunately this never came to Germany, just like 2X. But I played the PS1 Version before I played the PS2 Version and that is just a great Version! It is another THPS2 just with THPS3 levels. The best lastgen port for sure!
yeah same I didn't get this back in the day on import as by then I had moved onto gamecube
Cheers Glenn. I tried roller skating once and about 30 seconds later I was on the ground in pain after riding into the front gate groin first.
I was more of a blader than a skateboarder back in the day
Love your content. Glad you’re back.
thank you, always more on the way !
He’s back and we are ecstatic! May I request StarCraft 64
might be new year for that one as I'm taking December off
I had fun with the first game on the N64 way back in the day, but I've been told the PS1 version is the "definitive" one.
thps1 on ps1 is a core memory for me
Keep the reviews coming Glenn! Been enjoying the binging of new reviews! I'm surprised, I thought you would do this game last since it's the last game that came out for the N64.
I'm curious, why they would port this game to the N64? The GameCube port was already released & would be better than the N64 version by a mile due to cartridge limitations.
I'm just working my way through the final set of reviews and sometimes its down to time I have to decide what game to tackle and also what I actually feel like playing at the time
I had this with my PS2 the Christmas it was released, and I would have been so disappointed to play this version instead. It does feel melancholic that this was the last release for the Console here though. An honourable sunset.
what a great first game to get on the ps2!
Im surprised we didn’t get 3 on the THPS remakes
yeah that would have made sense wouldn't it
thanks for making new videos!
and thank you for watching its appreciated
YYYAAAAAAAASS!!
Thank you!! I’m so glad you reviewed this game to finish off the trilogy. I really enjoy hearing your very in depth thoughts and opinions.
My GameCube doesn’t like playing THPS3 so my N64 cart is the only way I can play it now.
why doesn't it like playing it?
@@n64glennplant I’m not really sure. It’s just THPS3. Every other game I own works fine. Some guy on Reddit said the GameCube THPS3 is one of the rare games that outputs at 240p and so it won’t work on modern TVs. I don’t know if that’s the real reason but it’s what I go with.
So I bought an N64 copy so I could keep playing it. Runs just fine off my N64 on my TV.
I played it first on the PC and it was so nice.
Glad you enjoyed it
I had both ps1 and 2 versions of this and 4 on both too they were all good games and different levels
Glad you like em
They should've released this on dreamcast as well. 1 and 2 were very succesful and sold better than the n64 versions and by late 2001 the n64 was really dead
Agreed but the DC was struggling hence the quick cancellation of future hardware manufacturing
O’boy, love this!

2 years ;)
@@n64glennplant glad your back

i LOVE ALL of your reviews!!
thank you that means a lot
Love your videos man, you inspired me to get my own channel moving with gaming content. I am almost at 700 videos and have only been working on the channel for the last 2 months lmfao I went kinda crazy I guess.
my advice would be to focus on quality over quantity, you'll hurt your channel more if you have a ton of videos that nobody's watching because the algorithm won't do you any favours
@@n64glennplant My most watched videos are oddly both paw patrol games. The games I hated playing the most are the ones that got the most views. Probably because they are children's games and there are far more kids using youtube than anyone else, at least I think that is the case.
Ah yes, the last N64 game.
The last in North America, we had Mario party 3 in Europe
I totally forgot this came out on N64. Gotta disagree with your point that the best way to play this is on PlayStation 2 though. The Gamecube version is brilliant.
My personal fave in the series is Tony Hawks 4. For me this is the moment it peaked. I lost interest in the many sequels and spin offs after that.
I LOVED my N64 but I just can't imagine the controller being upto the job on these kind of games.
im yet to play THPS4 myself, also haven't played the remaster of 1 and 2 either
Bruh I remember this song had PAPARAZZI by Xzibit on its soundtrack, I wonder what the song sounded like on the N64
It’s not in the n64 soundtrack sadly, I’m a fan of that song as it was on his at the speed of life album
Thank you again for another fantastic video.
and thank you for watching its much appreciated and hope you enjoyed
It’s backwards compatible on the 360 as well dudes.
interesting to know!
I'm not sure if I mentioned this in one of your previous videos...I've been in a sleep-deprived daze since the last few days of September due to personal family events. At any rate, I remember you seemed to be a big fan of the N64 AKI wrestling titles, dressing up like Goldust and really getting into the reviews. That said, there's a game by an indie developer - I believe in the UK - who is working on a title called Ultra Pro Wrestling, and it is being touted as THE spiritual successor to the N64 wrestling games. It really does look the part - it's got the grappling system and is even missing the ref in the ring 🤣- unfortunately, the game isn't due out for at least another year, so we'll be waiting a while
In the meantime, there's another wrestling game called RetroMania Wrestling, which is a spiritual successor the the 2 WWF arcade games, WWF Superstars and WrestleFest. It looks and plays just like Wrestlefest, but it doesn't have the big time names like Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior or Jake the Snake Roberts. The 2 biggest names it has - which is also its biggest connection to WrestleFest - are the Road Warriors Hawk and Animal. Most of its 19 man roster are wrestlers found on the indie circuits - Nick Aldis, Zack Sabre Jr, Blue Meanie, Warhorse, Tommy Dreamer, Chris Bey, James Storm, etc. It has 20 or so arenas, both real and fake. It's a really fun arcade style wrestling game.
Sorry to hear of your family situation. You know I’ve heard of both those titles, I follow blue meanie on IG as I was a big fan since his Ecw days back in the day and he’s plugging it a lot.
@@n64glennplant I only knew Blue Meanie from WWF WM2000. I didn't watch wrestling growing up but ended up getting into it at the "right time". I purchased WCW/NWO World Tour on a whim. It had just been released, but I didn't know anything about it. I always liked playing the wrestling games and when I popped the game in I was surprised to see so many people I recognized from when I was a little kid. Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Sting (my cousin had to explain to me why he looked like the Crow), Ric Flair, Lex Luger. That's when I started watching WCW Monday Nitro and Thunder. That was an awesome time to be a wrestling fan. I stopped watching some time early 2000, but I still enjoy the video games.
@@n64glennplant I've listened to Blue Meanie's podcast a couple of times, but it's audio only. I prefer podcasts with video. At any rate, I've mostly been out of the video game loop for the last couple years due to real life getting in the way - I JUST found out a few hours ago that Microsoft and Nintendo have both released N64's Goldeneye on their respective platforms. I'm excited about the news because I've heard the framerate is more steady, but I'm also disappointed. I'm confused as to why they didn't just release the HD version that was canceled 15'ish years ago. I played the leaked version, and I'm not gonna lie, it was freaking amazing. Goldeneye running at a smooth 60 FPS. I was also looking at all the N64 games Nintendo has released on the Switch. Is that Nintendo telling us that they are not going to ever release a N64 Classic Mini?
As someone who played the GameCube version and only got to play the PS2 version once, this looks like a cool final pickup on the N64, if I can either get an Everdrive, or a copy of this gem for cheap, then I hopefully will.
yeah it runs fine on everdrive no problems there
@@n64glennplanthopefully I can get an Everdrive, especially since they are expensive and not many ship to Canada.
My only experience with this era was rocket power on Nickelodeon. That was cool even if in retrospect I kind of don't like it, yet I still watched most of the series. I guess It was because nothing else was on at the time.
I don't know what rocket power is/was
I didn't even know there was a version of this game on the N64.
glad I could help inform you!
lol I was always rubbish at these. I did really enjoy messing around with the first one though.
yeah kinda same with me, my bro was always great at them though
I had no idea this was on the n64
don't worry you're not the only one
I played it on n64 back then and I really enjoyed it but PS2 is the way to go
I enjoy most of the originals but haven’t played any of the more recent ones
THPS4 is the best in the series and it just nosedived afterwards, culminating in the joke that was THPS5.
Not played 5 myself but curious!
@@n64glennplant lol me neither but I know a dud when I see one! Great video as always dude.
Dear Glenn, there is not a single video on your channel that does not have my "👍".
I appreciate that, helps grow the channel!
Glenn please tell me you are reviewing NFL QB Club 99, 2000, 2001 as 1 video, not 3.
Already have it ready for upload ✌️
Before the Jackass-ification of the series. THPS2 is still the best for my money, but THPS3 and THUG1 were also great.
That period in time with jackass etc was sublime
Glenny P Yo!! Dat Name😂😂
that's what they call me in Compton I hear......
The king is back
thanks, been back a few weeks now just before taking a break in December for the holidays
Glenn Hand-Plant
I see what you did there haha
HEY HO! LETS GO!
iconic for sure
Chorley... wahey! We're famous!!!
Edit: Generous to call it a "city", though.
Hahah I was going to put Leeds but thought there would be a few that would find Chorley funnier
@@n64glennplant You’re putting Chorley on the international map. 🫡
Still gotta say it looks good with its basic lighting effects and even better then next gen in my opinion in some cases, also is it me or does the textures feel much better then any other version other then Xbox. Idk maybe it’s just me and I’m slowly going blind but I grew up with game une but these textures seem even better on n64, also does this support the expansion pack like the og one?
Yes it does
@@n64glennplant could you please record a vid of the expansion pak being used on all 3 please if you can I might actually watch a bit more of your vids as it’ll trigger my brain to be fully interested as this was already interesting
@@Prowerexem sorry I’m not well enough to record at the moment but I’m sure there’s already expansion pack comparison videos for this game on CZcams so maybe try searching that
I've never played the n64 version
But I remember playing the GameCube version on import before it came out over here in the old CEX in Leeds when it used to be opposite the virgin megastores
Never had a GameCube at the time , I was a ps2 guy and got this with my ps2 along with ace combat
I really like the GameCube and Got one a few years after they were discontinued
Ha you know I walked past the CEX near merrion centre today and looked in the window - no retro on display which must be a first they normally have at least an old ps1 for like £6737384 😂
You really should play the N64 or PS1 Version if you liked THPS2!
Another NTSC exclusive us poor PAL region gamers missed out on.
Glenn what year did you first play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3?
Thanks for all these great reviews.
Got it on its launch day for ps2 👍
ITS A BIG ONE
