How did you mount to your engine stand? Did you bolt it straight to the adapter plate, and did you have to remove the flexplate?

Why is that O ring going into the thermostat housing on the top of that coolant bypass tube so mf annoying?!. I remember going thru like 4-5 o rings before it finally seated right and didnt leak lol. the water pump was less of a PIA than that lol. Cool video, kinda weird just now seeing this in 2024, but i dig it. Im semi new into the Duramax life, and love it. you know your shit sir. this video has some real good pointers for ppl looking to wrench on these motors.

How u running ur feed lines on that engine

My high idle just randomly stopped working . Where would u look first : I have a toggle switch under dash to engage it . The wire is in good on ecm for the idle . Maybe look at the switch ??

If the crank shaft pin or key holding the reluctor wheel breaks what would be the symptoms the engine would have and would it still run even if reluctor wheel slips and spins at times?had a truck shut off running and wouldn’t start and said crank and cam sensors where out of sync but then it started after pulling it home and been running ok no codes.

Back halfing started out so you could fit huge wheels and tires under the car then all the suspension stuff was developed for racing. You have a great garage.

I wouldn't sweat the main caps so much there have been a lot of guys running around daily driving the LB7s with 700-800 whp around here I've built them without the girdle still around that 750 average mark but you got overkill you'll be good if you drive it right if you only run it hard when you're pulling or running it at the strip it will live a long time
