    I always took the passenger side cab mounts loose, jack up the cab, and stick 2x4s under the body mount. That gives you much better arm and hand access. Good option for someone that doesnt have the means of removing the trans.

I fear coking of the bearings if I leave it heat soaked. Also, I have an LML now after 11 years with an LLY. So far I'm loving it but I've heard things about the CP4 failing and costing thousands to repair. Any advice on maintaining it? Thanks, Alan

      A friend of mine has a CZcams channel in the tech industry, he gives away "secrets" and how-to's on pretty much everything he does. Ever since he started his CZcams channel, his business has grown drastically. I feel like if you are hiding what you are doing in your business, you won't ever be successful in the long-term. Anytime a client of mine asks how something is done, I explain it to them.

    • @JohnDiMartino
      @JohnDiMartino Před 4 lety +6

      Don’t understand this logic at all. Posting a. Video reinforces why it costs what it costs for a good tech to do a quality job. Your also not just paying for labor ,you are paying for the knowledge and experience of the technician. Besides this is a Duramax these trucks are a nightmare to work on, no ones going to steal your work, there won’t be a line of men wanting to take this crap work away from you. Nothing prestigious about working on a rusty leaky old Duramax with frozen exhaust bolts and there 12 point heads ,just miserable to work on and no room.

    • @DiyDadFL
      @DiyDadFL Před 4 lety

      @@ozzypawsborneprinceofbarkness Exactly. When people see a video of someone who is open and transparent about how they repair something. People are gonna go to him. Granted some people will use the video to try to fix it themselves, but you've also made a little off the ad revenue or a sponsor to not have to worry about that one potential customer you didn't get.
