Not going to lie this video took me forever đ
Which truck sounds the best? 4â or 5â exhaust?
5 inch for međ€·
Is tailgate starting to rest
5 inch, for me. My L5P sure does like Ryanâs Turbo ..
5".. always
The five sounds great. I put 4inch on my lmm cant wait to do another upgrade.
Love that 64mm sound through the 4â exhaust, and at the same time I love the 68mm with the 5â, they are both a well balance of sounds!!!
Iâm partial to the 4â exhaust. Inside the truck it isnât overwhelming and I still heat the whistle of my 66mm RDS Turbođ
Just deleted and tuned my LLY with a 4inch exhaust. All PPE parts. The turbo sounds amazing at lower speeds. Canât wait for cold season start ups! Loving the channel and the way it has grown over the years , keep it up man
Really enjoying watching your videos and learning! Thanks for making them.
I've done all the same upgrades but with the 68mm stage 2 turbo from Garrett and the truck runs amazing and Is so loud when traveling slow it sounds like a jet plane coming down the road I freaking love it
Oh yes! đȘ
Finally, the episode I've been waiting for!! Still can't get over the red, white, and blue parts, absolutely beautifulđșđžđșđž.
I kind of overlooked that detail. Thanks for pointing that out to me!
bro both sound amazing - but that LBZ - dear Lord that gets my heart pumping!!!! AMAZING WORK !!!!
I totally agree
"Trucks not that loud" neighbors looking in the sky for falling airplanes lol đ
đ
It's sounds good to me awesome too Alost like my truck's
I enjoy the sound of the LBZ a lot more. You hear more engine rumble with the turbo but the LMM you can basically only hear the turbo
I agree both trucks sound amazing i love all the upgrades to both and yes that turbo sounds like an airplane great job
Thanks đ
Love that whistle â€ïž! I have a 63mm in my LML. Never gets old. Met a Karen at flag football practice this week for the kids. She DID NOT like the sound of my truck and kept telling me to shut it off đ. Iâm sorry, I canât hear you maâam đ€·đ»ââïžđ.
Sounds great. And to be honest it looks great as it sits. Even on stock wheels. Man gotta love ryans turbos. They whistle great.
It will be sad to see this thing modified and lifted soon đą
@@TruckMaster I think some 18 inch black rims on 33 inch tires would look awesome on the LMM.
That's what I'm running on my 08. :D
Your LBZ sounds like a complete beast. I run a 4" straight on my LBZ, I'm content with that and I also tow our travel trailer with it, whenever we go camping. It doesn't drone and it's just plain big enough @ 4".
5" is just huge & much more bulky, sounds like serious business though. Lol
4â is way more practical đ
Love my airdog 2 lift pump and rds 64mm turbo. I remember when I first started following you, you used to use another kind of brand of lift pump, which we won't name, and I went airdog because of the clean look you spoke about on the video. I hated how the other stuck out at the bottom a lot. Nice to see you went team airdog too! The truck sounds awesome BTW!
Thanks Roger đ
For an offroad beast, your LBZ, but for a daily driver, love the LMM. Great video.
Agreed
Looks and sounds awesome. Currently in the process of doing a HSP big bundle kit.
Good luck đ
Looks and sounds awesome! Thatâs one clean LMM
Always amazes me just how different a turbo sounds through a diesel than it does through a gas engine. Sounding like a jet engine just idling, but put on a gas engine of similar displacement you wouldn't hear it at all until after a rev. Mind blowing.
This is a VGT turbo
Been watching for a while bro, itâs cool to see how your channel has grown. Keep up the good work brother and I wish you nothing but success on this channel and family growing together!
I may be bias because I am buying a Lmm but I like the lmm sound a little better. Both trucks are awesome. Thanks for the videos have learned a lot and am picking up my first lmm from Texas on the 5th
Whistles like my LLY. đ After a little bit of turbo work it whistles like a six liter Ford.
Great video Hosh I like the newer truck sound.
Looks really clean
Both sound great. Always Always enjoy your videos. âđđ
I really appreciate it
Love the Red, White and Blue on the LMM!
That sounds AMMAAAAAAAAZING!
Lovin the content! Keep up the good work.
Thanks
Canât wait to see the LMM all built up. Truck is gonna be nasty.
Great job keep up the good work
Both are awesome! The LMM is sweet!
Love the channel and videoâs keep up the awesome work and videoâs đđđ
Thanks Nathan!
@@TruckMaster your more than welcome bud đđđđ
Got the HSP cold side, hot side, and turbo mouthpiece on my LMM. Need to replace my S&B with HSP to complete the bundle. Might do the radiator hose and coolant tank too. 4 inch straight pipe. AirDog 4G 165GPH. PPE ported fuel rail fittings and fuel rail pressure relief delete plug. TransGo Jr shift kit. Zone Offroad upper control arm leveling kit with PPE tie rod sleeves and Cognito center link brace kit. Handles all wheel drive boosted launches and pulls so hard.
Nice setup
@@TruckMaster Thanks man, but your LBZ is a dream truck.
With my 2008 LMM in Missouri two years ago it passed inspection, this time not! I've done some mods to it since I purchased it. Egr and exhaust is still factory with exception of at the 3 bolt flange just past the dpf, I put a 5" with no muffler. That's why it failed. No Muffler!!
Looked like wifemax had an exhaust leak while on the dyno đ. Great content bro Iâve been following you for a couple years now! Iâve had a Duramax since 07 and never looked backđ€đ»đșđž
I like both trucks my sister has the 2007 Duramax and I have to say even stock it's bad ass loved the video keep sending!!!!???
Nice work their installing air dog. What pressure did you set the fuel pressure at? The ecms can't handle high pressure the backing panel cracks and sprays fuel over engine. And the rubber fuel lines are designed for suction not pressure and my burst. Just want to know because I was checking for my 06.
Great videos / content!! It Looks like the body mount bushings on this girl need some attention. A few are missing. Cheers bud
Sweet Truck for sure man I'd love to own one. And also I like the 4inch full exhaust better
Thanks Sam
It would take some time getting used to,for me being Iâve never owned a diesel.Great job!
The LBZ has a deeper throater tone but expected as it's less restrictive then the 4" allowing that deep tone. Looks like next on the list for the Lml body off and clean & paint frame. Also who ever removed the old step bars left a rear cab mount retainer washer and the rubber washer off (2:05 min mark in video) might be a good idea to fix that. Truck sounds good more importantly will run better đ
The idle whine on that LMM is insane.
Hey truck master. Dumb question when it comes to installing the HSP intake are you supposed to remove the inner wheel well? I heard itâs something that has to be done to get the proper airflow.
Just wondering how much $ did all your upgrade parts cost to do this work to the lmm? I've got one but unsure if I can justify the cost.
Love that lmm sounds great!!!!
Thanks
Sounds awsome here in texax love it be safe
Thanks again Dan!
Iâm about to be putting an RDS 66mm in my LMM tomorrow canât wait to hear it
I like them both really , it's really hard to say really you do great work ..
nice work! , sounds like its ready for a sled pull and dyno day with the new turbo, oh you only do that with her truck- i forgot
Donât be a hater đ
It sounds sick .
Hey truck master Iâm curious do you need a tune when you replace that pipe thatâs next to the air intake. What did you do with all the plugs that were plugged into it.
Hello Josh and Melanie. The truck is starting to look great.
Great video question where can I order this entire set up I just got a 2009 LMM an I would like to install the set up
That was awesome josh I need a 165 airdog do u got some bud lly duramax
4in has a louder whistle in my opinion. Man that truck is so nice, do some wheels and a level maybe and that truck is perfect
I wanna see what all went into cleaning that engine bay đŻ
I'd be interested in that air filter setup you took off the truck!!!
Hmm they both sound good
Also I love the 5 inch exhaust on my lmm
Is your TCM still just sitting between your battery and fuse block? do you have any videos on this?
Oh yeah this is why I like the older diesels
It's sounds good to me awesome too
Great video
Do you have a video of a LML turbo install?
Josh that 64mm turbo is a what blade on the LMM, one is someday in the future hopefully.
âTruck is t that loudâ
*neighbours wondering when they moved near an airport*
Revs it , knocks camera over , goals !!
đđđ„
I really appreciate your service to our country and for what I have learned from you on CZcams. Just lost my brother 2 days ago, so I try to do more work on my new truck ( new to me ) 2003 2500HD silverado.
Oh no! Sorry to hear about the news Paul
Just wondering, what mpg your getting at on both trucks. I have a stock 08â LMM 2wd. Thanks for showing the stock restriction exhaust, that must made the engine breath betterâŠAloha đ€đ
I love the lbz, but I just got a 07.5 lmm. I want to take a trip out, do a rds 64 with you. I bought truck to haul my 40ft 16k 5th wheel camper this spring. Id love to have the extra power.
That engine bay is clean, looks awesome Well worth the 50 plus hours you probably have in it.
You are so right đ
I like them both but get front and rear replacement bumpers for that truck would be awesome and some ats on those stock rims.
Hey I was just wandering if a lb7 duramax or the lbz would be a good daily driver/ work truck as in for reliability? I'm new to the whole diesel seen for duramaxs and looking at buying one just wanna know what would be the safest bet
Looks as good as it sounds. Now why did you pull that nice spruce out next to your house?
How did you determine what length of traction bars for the rear of the truck?
Both Trucks sounds Amazing, better than mine, Iâm jealous đ
If you have an LB7 you can barely hear the whistle
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łmine too! I'm with you on that.
Just axle dump the lb7 mine sounds like a 6.0 with no turbo đ
Love those dirty max
Thanks Mike
whatâs a good turbo to run on a LB7? I just want hear the whistle more.
Still thinking the LBZ sounds better, but the LMM spools quickly. Nice đ!
I agree
Iâm partial to my lmm haha. Only because it s my daily. You know how it is.
@@Ajme-kb4os , yeah my daily is a LBZ DUALLY and my son has a LMM extended cab short box .
Dope how itâs a red white and blue engine bay
What u recommend to have I big whistle noise
I love the red white and blue under the hood
All you have to do is hold the pedal to the floor on current vehicles white starting to âprime the oil systemâ most vehicles since efi became a thing, especially tumbled charged vehicles have this feature
Them Isuzu duramax's sound great.
They both sound great in there own way. 68 on Lbz to be honest is more of a whistly boy but both sound amazing
Hey Josh,
Ive been following you for along time now, I donât comment very much or often, but the work your doing, the video editing and how youâre doing it all at home is incredible.
Iâve only commented a couple times, once when you were contemplating the body work on your LBZ. I was at the same point with my manual lifted v8 4x4 s10 zr2. Iâm now at the point where most of my lift kit stuff is worn and getting sloppy. Iâve decided to take on a solid front axle swap, nothing to big, Dana 30. Just a bit stronger then stock setup and should last a very long time. Much longer then bushings and such in an IFS set up.
I think It would be a really cool project for you to do to one of your trucks. Have you ever considered doing a solid front axle swap?
Yes I hope to do one in the future đ
@@TruckMaster I look forward to seeing it! Keep up the great work!
Im a ford guy but damn both of those sound amazing.....LBZ took the dub !
I have a 4" on my lb7 and I left the stock 4" on the lmm for now.
Wisconsin native here! Glad I know where to get a built trans now!!
Awesome đ
@@TruckMaster any idea when are the 165 lift pumps for a 01-10 back in stock?
@@funkyfpv9847 Dang, didn't know they were out. Got the 165 on my truck and love it. Holds full pressure on the 150hp race tune. Runs perfect.
@@saltysteel3996 yeah lmao damn shortages. Thanks for the info! I limped my truck once on the 4th to 5th shift so ive been taking er easy lol
I've got a question for you and I'm not sure how to privately message you so I'm going to ask on here I apologize for that. I have a lmm Duramax with the DPF I'm looking to delete the DPF and the muffler but leave the catalytic converter will there be a change in sound or will it still sound stock if you have a video on this please link it to me. I just can't find anything about Cat-Back exhaust and a sound change if a cat is being left in the truck. Thank you and keep up the great content it's very helpful.
Truck master, I picked up my third duramax the other day and I appear to have the same wheels as Wifemax, however, I don't have center caps for mine, can you tell me what wheels are on her truck at "1:25" I want to cover the rear axle hub and the front hub cap. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!! Thanks from Omaha!
What about fuel mileage do gain before and after, my 05 lly sucks only 14.5mpg
Dang is it sweater weather up north already?
As a Floridian Iâm jealous
Itâs like 48 in the morning đą
@@TruckMaster Same in north Alabama.
Roll Tide btw :P lol
Do you ever go to Ashland wi???
Both sound awesome! But I would go with the 4â. Also since it needs a vane position relearn until you get that done do the vanes stay wide open or does everything still work like normal?
It still works the same but it should get that adjustment before you start to drive it every day
My stock turbo is going out in my lmm I was wondering what I need to do to prepare my engine for an upgrade can you please help?
What part of Wisconsin will you be in I would love to meet you
I have a lmm Tahoe and I blow a passenger side Intercooler outlet elbow clamp or how would I go about that?
I like them both, but the LBZ sounds like a beast!
How can you tell what mm turbo is installed? I bought my LMM with a modified turbo already installed.
I donât think you can tell without removing the wheel
They are bought bad ass trucks
