I rode a motorcycle and I have seen this before. A van was in my lane passing one time. It is terrible drivers do this. We pay taxes just like everyone else and pay for our license plates to be able to ride on roads. Good for you for confronting him.

I seen a guy in Mercedes run a Harley off the road. So ran him off the road. I had been following the Harley for a few miles. I guess the noise was bothering him. I guess he could not understand that a old beat up old Suburban could be a more than a bit faster than a MB 500. I did not waste money on paint and body work. Engine, transmission, suspension, rear axle and brakes 1st Why? I was not riding mine that day.

The biker was erratic and emotional. The driver tried to say biker (and friend) is riding like assholes. But biker wants to shout over him. Something else happened before the video was cut, and the biker is acting the way he is to cover that up with emotional outbursts to be a distraction. In my 30 years on the road, it is very rare that bikers aren't somewhat responsible for things that happen to them, more so in pairs or more. Then they play the tough guy while they got a helmet on. Yeah, driver was being a prick. But bikers don't do themselves any favours.

Saw the whole video pinned at the top of the comments. Initially, the driver was in the wrong for not respecting the bikers space when the biker was on the LHS. The driver is old, though, and older people have poor judgement and get annoyed more easily. I'm not excusing his behaviour; just adding some perspective. The bikers should have either stayed away OR taken the footage to the police. Anything else is escalation. When the biker accelarated to the RHS of the car, this could have been construed as aggressive, intimidating riding by the driver. Hence, this also would have escalated the situation. When someone who is much older and losing their faculties makes a mistake on the road, pointing it out with a seemingly rhetorical question like "Why are you trying to kill us?" will only further infuriate the driver. Before confronting the driver, the bikers were completely in the right. After the confrontation, most bystanders will think the bikers are causing trouble and this will only add to their negative stereotype of bikers. They have my sympathy.

And judging by his behavior he would likely have drove off thus incurring a charge of hit & run.

The driver was calm.
The biker was erratic and emotional.
The driver tried to say biker (and friend) is riding like assholes.
But biker wants to shout over him.
Something else happened before the video was cut, and the biker is acting the way he is to cover that up with emotional outbursts to be a distraction.
In my 30 years on the road, it is very rare that bikers aren't somewhat responsible for things that happen to them, more so in pairs or more. Then they play the tough guy while they got a helmet on.

Saw the whole video pinned at the top of the comments. Initially, the driver was in the wrong for not respecting the bikers space when the biker was on the LHS. The driver is old, though, and older people have poor judgement and get annoyed more easily. I'm not excusing his behaviour; just adding some perspective. The bikers should have either stayed away OR taken the footage to the police. Anything else is escalation.
When the biker accelarated to the RHS of the car, this could have been construed as aggressive, intimidating riding by the driver. Hence, this also would have escalated the situation. When someone who is much older and losing their faculties makes a mistake on the road, pointing it out with a seemingly rhetorical question like "Why are you trying to kill us?" will only further infuriate the driver.
Before confronting the driver, the bikers were completely in the right. After the confrontation, most bystanders will think the bikers are causing trouble and this will only add to their negative stereotype of bikers. They have my sympathy.

Its the weirdest thing when you start riding and realise there are literally people on the road that will pretend to pull out on your, swerve at you and do whatever they can to try to put you on the edge purely because youre on a bike.
