We used to own a decorative cement biz back about 12 years ago. It was fun but we were in a minor car accident but my husband had a shoulder injury that hindered him from doing some of the techniques which were the most popular ones we did so we went to truck diving school and became team drivers eventually owning our own truck and trailer. Now that we have retired we're trying to sell that semi truck and trailer! Concrete work is for the young, it's hard work but fulfilling. I'm sure it will turn out just fine.

If you have questions about application or color, contact the people you bought it from. The manufacturer must have specified the amount of water for a reason. It might be a mistake to alter the formula. Ask if there are additives available to change the color or tone of the microcement. And yes, lighting on color can create an Optical illusion.

The color of the light you install will make a difference in the look and feel of the room. You probably would not be happy with a bright cool white overhead light. You need a warm white. Look into it. Lighting changes the paint color and character of a room. It makes a big difference.

From my view it has a creamy tint to it. It’s really nice.

I didn't think it looked grey once it had dried. I definitely think the unfinished floor is probably throwing you off a little as well.

It’s really just like putting a smooth layer of plaster on the wall. CZcams that and maybe you’ll get the hang of it.

I think you are questioning the tone more than the color. It looks cool toned. You want more of a warm tone to feel like Greek spa. It needs a warmer clay or yellow undertone added to it. Do they offer a warm toned dye?

Abby you need More coats of it. Be patient with It then decide on The outcome . I like it because It's different an Hand done with Lots of effort.

To me it looks Beige Not Grey. I like it but can you still paint over it to give it the colour you want? If So I think its great. Yes Desert Sand is the colour I see. Getting there now. Can hardly wait to see finished House.

I think as it dries it makes a difference. I wouldn't clear coat until you're pleased with the color. You may be able to change the tone with a watered down cream paint (whitewash).

Looks great so far Abby. Microcement is becoming popular here in Australia as it lends itself well to coastal-style bathrooms - and who doesn't love not having to clean grout!
