Text Mike advice he said it all don't come here with a small income expecting to have a girlfriend and be able to live comfortably take it from him he started a CZcams channel so he could survive here met her started her channel so they could both have good money my as well just start a Mike and Janet go fund me page đ
Since I'm retired, my preference is like yours--have her not work to be with me and travel with me in retirement. I have no issue with matching her salary if she quits her job to be with me so she can still support her parents as needed. I've worked for almost 40 years and saved enough for a comfortable retirement and continue to earn income from my side-hobby of investing. My goal in retirement (for the next few years) is to travel around SEA (South East Asia) for my destinations and would really prefer to be able to do that traveling with a partner who also likes to travel.
Good to see you both outside by the ocean for this video. Good info. Keep up the good work Mike & Janet!
This was a good topic and you brought up points that I have not thought about before thanks for that
Hello Janet and Mike. Good to see you two are doing good. For me itâs hard to explain, but Iâll try. I want to meet a woman who works. I donât really care what it is. A career if she went to college or a sari-sari store. Secretary or cashier. As long as she has that job responsibility. I can cook and clean up after myself, go around and enjoy the beach, mountains or sit on the boulevard and observe the people and learn about the culture that way as well. That will be more income for us, her, her kids if she has any, less impact when she gives money to her family and most importantly, if she does have kids, they learn the value of hard work and self pride after working, the true value of money, how to budget, interacting with all kinds of different people in many different situations, and her/our kids will grow up learning to be independent. Possibly work in a bigger metro are like Cebu or Manilia or in another country, except maybe the west. Learn different types and levels of responsibilities in life to succeed. And that can have a positive impact for generations. As we all know, working and earning/saving money opens up many opportunities, like living in another part of the world when retired. It can improve the Philippines. Or, the kids working can more easily adapt to the increase of the cost of living in the Philippines, which WILL happen. They can learn time management. Learn to do things they donât want to do. So, if she works itâs more income for us now and for her later after Iâm gone. For her/our kids, theyâll learn many things about work we foreigners take for granted. And, itâll teach them the value of time off. I donât know what kind of medical expenses will be needed for our family and where we would have to go. So, the more income, the better in that case. If my gf/wife is already working, we would work together to fit our lives into one, just like we did in the west. Maybe, itâll influence the kids to go to college. Iâll do things for her/us/our home so she doesnât have to do anything or much when she comes home from work or has time off from work. Instead of having a âdate nightâ we can have a âdate weekendâ or a âdate dayâ. Visit her family. Go to the beach or the mountains or just stay at home together. Most importantly is, we as a family have more money. For anything life throws at us. Our kids will learn to work. Maybe choose to go to school. Too many advantages to having a gf/wife who works. Works for EXTRA income, not to merely survive. That in itself will improve her life there.
I agree Mike who want their Wife/GF to work for $100 to $150 a month 10-12 hours a day,
There are plenty of Filipinas who wants to be a fulltime wife. Me I can't imagine myself like that. I want to have my own hard earned money than depending on someones pocket. Well it is individuals preference.
No way china would invade Philippines USA has treaty with Philippines never without consequences.
Good advice I agree completely.
Encouraging a spouse to seek employment can have several benefits, such as increasing the family's income, providing a break from domestic responsibilities, and boosting the individual's self-confidence.
The number one rule of SE Asia is "don't fall in love with a bar girl" Unicorn at 35k a month. Call center workers make more than that. They are not that rare.
Good info Mike...Thanks againđ
I agree Mike. Unless they are making a large amount of money then there is no point of them working.
Thank You So Much My Friend. You are So Informative. I'm coming to the Philippines in 2 years. This information is super helpful in decision making.
Janet looks so Serious today lol
When I retire to PH I definitely want my gf with me to enjoy retirement and travel, sightseeing all that ph has to offer. Work is done.....time to enjoy last years of life with quality
It's his fault, he supposed to visit the Philippines before he decided to sell all his properties and other stuffs that he has. The girl is good and everything but this guy is a loner. He doesn't like noise, traffic and others. So no one should be blame just him.
HI MIKE and JANET , great topic. IF EVER I get there , I would want a full time gf/wife . As long as she was in agreement , all would be well , if not trouble eventually will appear. TY GOD BLESS CIAO
Well said!
Mike agree it depends on person no one is the same but probably more people would Want a non working gf or wife.
Thanks Jude
nice Sunglasses Janet
Janet's or mine?
Good video Mike đđđ have fun always my man đđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
Thanks! Will do!
Don't really mind my partner working, as long as she enjoys her work. The pay has to be considered though, no good working many hours for peanuts; no need as well. Also, not all the money should go to the extended family, at the cost of neglecting our child. As always, your immediate family should come first, and working from home is more desirable than a regular job. Best if it's more like a hobby to her that brings in extra income. Actually, my wife enjoys selling coconut in our complex, and pretty much just works when she wants to. Much better than a woman who sits around on her phone, and constantly nags you for more money.
Thank you for sharing
Just because a dog barks, there is no need to answer it.
hmmmm
The get lazy if they donât work. Why should they get a free ride when you have worked hard for 40 years
so do not get a girl friend or wife. Problem solved
Why canât you have a working girl as a girlfriend?
Tell me what you think about that
I think it should be up to her if she want to work.
Ok but as a man you have no say in the matter
sorry to hear you got taken by your filipina wife. i have been married to a filipina for 38 years and all is good. we recently went back to visit the PI and what a dump. Full of Koreans and traffic up the butt. We have a house near the old Clark Air Base and I wont be back there again. The PI is an overpriced dump of a country. Traffic is terrible, food is expensive, and after Mt Pinatubo in 1991, and the korean invasion, the country is not what it used to be. The USA isnt that great either and i dont know where to live forever. Still looking, and i have seen alot of the world so far.....
Funny how we are willing to and really want to support them when we go to the Philippines. Ever think maybe there would be a lot less divorce if we practice this right at home in the United States. I asked you how many men do you know have always completely supported the household before going to the Philippines I only know one myself. So the next time your friend is bitching about how his wife divorced him and took everything, ask him did he support that family 100% did he make it to where she could be a stay-at-home mom or wife. Maybe we all just got what we deserve in the West LOL
good point
These old trolls canât get laid in their home country so they come to the Philippines to exploit teenagers.
who is an old troll???
@@mikesphilippineretirement anyone whoâs in their 60âs to 80âs going to the Philippines and Thailand to hook up with girls in their teens to early 20âs whoâs much younger than their own grand kids.
Greetings from Panama. I am now close to 5 years in Panama, what should be normally a 5 month vacation. Right. Came to Panama after I was invited by friends. November 2019 flight Edmonton Alberta to Panama City. Pandemic started and I was stranded for 2 years in Panama. Wasnât allowed to fly back home. Anyway. Like you said. Try out nice and warm countries for the retirement living. After my last online request for my return flight was again denied, I just had enough from Canada. Sold everything and just enjoyed Panama. Originally from Germany, I would have never dreamed of sitting every day under Palm trees and enjoying a cold beer. Even started last year in June to build my own house here. There is no hurry in finishing it. I just enjoy doing it. Coming home before it gets too hot outside and enjoying dinner with my girlfriend. Difference how you met your Janet, I did find my lady on the street. Old style. Enjoy your life!
How about a girl that is just hardworking? I want a reliable, hardworking girlfriend. My job is to provide. My pensions add up to over 20 times a call center salaryâŠthatâs without touching my investments and 401k. It would be shameful to ask a Filipina to work.
are you looking for a girl friend?
@@mikesphilippineretirement - Iâm in no hurry. Iâve been chatting with a young woman in Cebu, but itâs doubtful sheâll be the woman I settle on. Figure Iâll spend a few months in Cebu to acclimate. Lived in Seoul for a few years and had a string of Korean girlfriendsâŠsame goes for Europe. Iâm very good at not easily attaching to girlfriends. Iâm an old hand at overseas life. Lived and worked overseas for 20 years. The Philippines will be the 43rd country Iâve visited.
Very true, I know from experiencing this first hand. Sadly
If you want a woman to support you donât go to a poor country stay in the USA and get a masculine woman who doesnât find working while you stay home and play video games due to the feminization of men in the USA
hahaha true to that point
Never merry or even date your maid.... Doesn't ever work out well....
Most women on US dating sites are built like linebackers. If they are the 3% that are in shape , they only respond to the chads.
A wife want to contribute to family budget it give them self-worth how every low wages it not worth it unless we are working together. Obvious if she go to college she has more ambition to support her family.
lots of girl here have been to college and not working
Very good advice đ†Most guys have no clue
starting to believe that @ryno6101
It must be sad if you depend on UTube to make ends meet?
Paul World zoom made lots of critic's about the Philippines in his last video. He said bad things about Filipinos and filipinas and the government of the Philippines. His removal from the Philippines was the result of the critic's and complaining about services here in the Philippines. I don't understand why he stayed in the Philippines if he complained that much about the country. That's one of the reasons why immigration deported him. The second reason can be that Paul worked as vlogger in the Philippines under tourist visa , everybody shut know by now that holders of a tourist visa are not allowed to work payed or not payed.
I told my wife before we married that i wasn't rich and that she would have to work to help support her family and 6 kids. We live in the USA and she has a manufacturering job. She has realized that it cost a lot to live in America. Someday we will retire and live in the Philippines part time. Most of the kids now live in the USA.
Her 6 kids or yours together?
Wow 6 kids
If she asking to take care of family, she absolutely has to work
True unless it her widowed mom need rice money or medicine.
No work for my future wife in the Philippines. I want someone to spend time with me and travel. Iâll cover our financial needs.
most men feel that way
When I met my Filipina she worked at gaisano Mall.. didn't make a lot of money.... I told her she didn't have to work if she didn't want to so she took about six months off.... But because she had a lot of friends at work there our relationship with them started drifting apart... I told her it was okay she went back to work... And It put a few dollars in her pocket.. her self-esteem improve greatly I'm not afraid to cook some meals...or to do laundry .. or clean the house... To me that's a pretty sad existence for a Filipina ... And at the end of the day we get to share our experiences of that day.. together.. and I promise you her dreams are not about cooking my meals or doing my laundry
I took an early retirement and was bored at home just cooking cleaning and doing laundry. So I went back to work 20 hrs a week. It's perfect for me. I get some time with nice coworkers and some spending $. (American born, divorcee who had a BF at the time. Now single). Glad your partner has a nice hybrid situation.
G mall i love it no people and long lines theređ
Good for you đ it's so important that we find our own personal happiness đ
â â â
Why on earth would you goto a developing country where the vast majority of people are poor and go she needs to do her part?
I love it here in the Philippines
Mike what's the name if that restaurant with the take home waitresses. Asking for a friend đ
BurgerKing
I want a working girl a few nights a week until i find a gfđ
pay to play
pretty much all scams cheaters liars.
who is talking about scams
What may be good for one is not necessarilly good for all. I'm with Mike, As an older man with age related issues looking to possibly retire to SE Asia in 5 years, I'd prefer to relax with my partner (GF/Wife), sharing with her the time I have left. The stresses of she working would impact me as well. Retirement is... in my mind, our time to let go of these stresses, share our lives, care for one another and enjoy. My 2c.
well said
Working girl - Definitely, definitely, definitely. Not just to increase income for the couple but you have that feeling of seeing each other "freshly" every day. The delight of seeing each other at the end of the day and talking about your day. It naturally broadens her experiences as she is not being dragged along on my coat tails This also allows me to do my thing. Catch up with mates for coffee, doing one of my numerous hobbies, etc. Im sorry Mike but a major reason you stipulated for having non working partner was effectively to be your "maid". I dont want a maid who cooks all the time for me, cleans up after me, etc. You try and pass it off as "but this is what they like, they love this, blah, blah, blah. I wonder how many of those girls, given the opportunity to be gainfully employed" would change their views and their attitudes. They are the way they are because people like you do not give them the chance to spread their wings - It is your insecurtities wanting to keep her close.>g. Get a box delivered. Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am honestly shocked you said you are not looking for a "part time girlfriend" and relate that to hours spent together - News Flash, she is my FULL TIME girlfriend who works. Maybe you are getting so old you are becoming lazy.
if she is not working you can not go for coffee? or do a hobby? Just asking
