Last time I was in the Philippines 🇵🇭 I was partying with my Filipina Wife’s family and had a little too much fun… 10 days in to our vacation I woke up with gout in my right knee…man, my brother n law came to my Hotel Tavern in Surigao and the whole family ran to my aid making sure I had ice for my knee and my gout medicine.. they were really thoughtful. I stayed in my hotel for a few hours drinking water and eating my gout meds… I was miraculously back in action in just 1/2 a day of rest and was right back on the dance floor… but it impressed me that my wife’s family were so caring and concerned about me. Great people!

Mike, when I move to the Philippines, finding a place to live is my top priority. I want somewhere near good hospitals and beautiful scenery. I will worry about finding a good woman later, hopefully one who is older.
I have a pact with my sons that the woman I end up with will be older than them after the 34 age gap relationship I had dissolved. So, I am looking at 40+ so I am glad to hear you say the older women haven’t abandoned their Filipina ways. 🙏🏻

I'm not an "older" man per say, but I'm an OG.. When I arrived in Manila last year, on day two I started feeling ill with the flu. I was down for about four days. During that time, I KNEW this woman was going to be my wife. From being my personal nurse and chef to arguing with the lady in the pharmacy over the correct medication. My introduction to life with a Filipina, though ill, was very enlightening. Best choice I ever made..

When I got sick with a bad sore throat in Cebu, I went to a clinic in the mall and I was evaluated by a doctor who then prescribed anti-biotics. 5 days later I was much better! Doc visit cost was only 400 pesos ($7.27).

I am a widower not looking for a girlfriend or wife but I enjoy traveling and would like to see those beautiful beach resorts at those different amazing islands. Sure, there are some inconveniences, most just temporary, and when I decided I couldn’t deal with the overabundance of population in Metro Manila, I started looking at less populated areas. Of course, breaking the apron strings my Wife was holding onto, was a bit difficult, we eventually reached a compromise on where to move. July/August time we’ll move.

I actually don't like the Philippines at all. Been here 7 months this trip. Nothing runs smooth here. Like earlier i ordered a burger. I told the girl 3 times no catchup on my burger. Of course i got catchup. When I said something, she just looked at me. lol
I am in a different situation, I have a great family in the US.
I am not on a budget. That is a huge difference.

I found Dumaguete the best place to retire. It was my second time to visit Dumaguete City. I be back soon at Dumaguete City. I’m no stranger to the Philippines. My first visit to the Philippines was in February 1977 in Subic Bay with the Marines. Great video!!!

@CharlesFuh5pt4nd7z well I gotta get new dentures the VA one's are bad they did they told me I had to keep for 5 years before I can get new set . So I don't even wear them. They cut into my gums bad. Plus my wife wants braces that's her insecurity in life. Filipina's see American women with nice teeth and hair and style they admire that so being 2 hours from Dumagete I need to find a dentist for her and me
For day-to-day living you would be surprised at how much English you will hear in Thailand. Certainly in the hospitals but also in retail and markets and restaurant menus. Conversation though - that is where the language barrier kicks in. You can definitely find Thais that speak English. I don’t know of any westerner/Thai couples where the Thai woman doesn’t speak English but this is still a country that speaks a foreign language.
Live life to the fullness, I am not good with languages, I moved to China in 2009, I was 50 years old, No smart phones, lived there for 6 years, best experience of my life, easy to get visa, open bank account, rents were easy, don't be lazy learn the language,

I have a question. If I have medications and I decided to extend my stay over there how hard is it to get medications that you receive in the United states? Medication such as blood pressure pills or blood thinner pills things like that

What about prescriptions? Blood pressure and cholesterol, how easy is it to get filled? What are the procedures?
Prescriptions are easy to get from local doctors. Here you actually pay per pill and each pill is vacuumed wrapped. Some medications might be out at some pharmacies, that can be a pain point.
We are very affectionate, caring, loving, attractive ehem if I may say so, and we just want our partner to be happy. We are not boring too hah

Another fine video although a lot of it I do not agree with. Since I retired and got back from living in the Philippines I tried it myself for one year did not like it, although rent restaurants and transportation are cheaper food and basic necessities are the same or more especially electricity. As far as the hospitals go I don't care what they say they're crap in the Philippines been there done that, especially holy child that you mention that place is disgustingly dirty. Stressed living in the United States only if you don't plan for retirement I retired at 59 and can live any place in the world and I have no stress at this point I live 50% in US 50% and Belize a wonderful English-speaking country Islands?😮 the United States has over 18,000 of them we have some of the most beautiful places in the world our mountains our deserts are absolutely gorgeous and spectacular our white sand beaches in Florida are fabulous and I have never been pushed out of a restaurant or a coffee shop in the United States, obviously if I did I would never go back. I will be forever grateful to the Philippines I did bring a wife back with me wife back with me lol

Comparing U.S health care with Philippines no comparison often when the big one hit they go U.S or leave Philippines for care . I did not marry a filipina half my age for a caregiver nor should some lonely old man unless that what he looking for . Most important happy wife happy life. Cheaper health care is not a good reason to move Philippines or poor health with good health insurance back home. Philippines is not what old lonely men are lead to believe it about the money with a Filipina if your happy with that ok. Social security a lot of money to her a lot and a house no matter what she tell you..Many thing will stress you philippines if you let it like the states it a mind set. A 30 yr western girl may have good income why would she be with a 70 yr old man on social security . In philippines a social security check or Military pension all they require

James is right-on-the-money. The average American doctor seems to be more focused on covering their butt, milking insurance, writing prescriptions to treat symptoms, and using scare tactics to address the real problem. I had one doctor repeatedly look at the clock on the wall while he was talking to me. Doctors often misdiagnose the source of the problem because of biases towards what they know, or what facilities they have available or their employer has to paid for . There are great American doctors and they go into practices where there is a clear medical issue that needs to be treated.
Unfortunately, the profit--before-care approach seems to have become systemic in America. The only incentive for caring is caring and that has diminished because you cannot fix a person in fifteen minutes. Single-payer systems where everybody pays in, minimize profit incentives, but do not fix the problem either. Is "Medical Socialism" a term? My opinion is that medical care in the Philippines is probably just starting. Caring is still caring more about others than yourself. Learning about better care is still valued. Hopefully, the Philippines will beat the system.

Don't be confused, everything in life is transactional. Bottom line that is life.
From a highly educated and trained anesthesiologist, the healthcare in Philippines isn’t up to par with rest of country. After surgery, complications can become a reality. If need major procedures, book a flight and go to Bumrungrad in Bangkok, Thailand; this is a well recognized international hospital. Btw, do t listen to World Zoom wasn’t involved in direct patient care. Dental care… my U.S. dentist said treats lots of abscesses from PI dental care which can become deadly if left untreated. Dentist says it’s due to their sterilization processing on instruments; it’s not being correctly being done.
But why the western country prefer to hire Filipino doctors and in Saudi Arabia prefer to hire dentist , don't you know that here in London Filipino doctors are popular and one of the most respected by the royal families, their attending physician and nurses are Filipinos and never heard Thailand sorry for that

Using the Philippines flag on your videos is against the law in the Philippines its 12 months in jail, or 50,000 peso fine or both and will also get you black listed and deported.

There are no prohibitions against showing the Philippine flag in videos or photos as long as it is displayed properly. Proper display means that the flag should not be worn as part of a costume or uniform, should not be draped over vehicles, or used in a manner that could be construed as disrespectful. It's also important to ensure that the flag is displayed in the correct orientation, with the blue field on top in times of peace.

Also you are using it on a youtube channel which is earning you money, so they class that as a business, and you cannot use it as a tool to get extra business. Also is your youtube channel registered with the BIR? This is also a legal requirement.
