Changes from state to state and depending on the department but they likely do so to prevent other cop channels from just pointing the footage and making the fee worth it. Just a guess based on prior work experience.

Yeah this is crazy! She still lives with her mother says she is okay and the doctors say she is okay. I've seen some videos where she tried to sneak outside to see the sky at night and her mom made her come in and lock the doors. She didn't leave Ken for Ryan. KEN left HER because he didn't want the drama, infamy, and media attention that came along with her (though in the series she lies to Ryan and says Ken "broke her heart" and DUMPED her to be with someone else, some "blonde bimbo" that she "COULD NEVER EVER be"... THAT was a lie). Ryan was her BACKUP PLAN, her D on standby, her... "PLAN B" who she manipulated by constantly feeding lies to him, complaining about Ken to make Ken seem abusive and mean so he would feel bad for her, get worried or protective of her and ultimately "save her" if things went south with Ken; which they did. However, she outright admitted during a conversation with her step mom in her show that she married Ryan to appease and make the parole board happy, that she "could only be released if she went home to someone who was family", then a day or two before the wedding called Ryan and told him she "had a dream that she left him for Ken once she got out of prison", saying she just wanted to make sure there were "no secrets" which is a HIGHLY manipulative and abusive tactic to play games with someone else's emotions. She uses people then tosses them like tissue (including animals like the puppy that she REALLY wanted, but then abandoned like it was nothing blaming the puppy for liking Ryan better). Now she's demanding spousal support from her ex husband and is dumping ALL the blame of the divorce on him while committing adultery, INTENTIONALLY rubbing Ken in his face, parading Ken around like a show pony. I don't know what she may or may not have been through with her mother, but over the years she's proven herself to be egotistical, GREEDY, manipulative, narcissistic, abusive, EXTREMELY cruel, and a shit stirrer who likes to play games with people and wants fame (she literally has TMZ in her back pocket on speed dial and on their payroll which is how they keep getting "exclusive close up photos" and know EXACTLY where to be in podunk Cut Off Louisiana anytime she leaves the house)... More than anything, she's proven herself over the years to be a story teller, untrustworthy, and A MASSIVE LIAR.
