@olipeters5802yeah the dude shouldn’t have been tased and the pigs did not handle the situation well. He was not being aggressive or making threats or advancing on the cops, they just wanted to assert dominance unnecessarily and they didn’t like the position in which he was standing or the position in which he was holding his arms. Standing in a position that could be seen as defensive is not a threat or an assault, and it’s very reasonable that he would stand that way when the crazy lady next to him might strike him or when there are men entering his house without permission or a warrant and he doesn’t know those men or have any reasonable reason to trust them. The cops did not handle the situation well but they saw the environment and said to themselves “these people can not afford a lawyer or time off work so I’m going to just assert dominance to end the situation as fast as possible because I don’t want to be here”

If you watch enough of these police videos you see a lot of cases where one unarmed man can take 4 or 5 cops to take down, if he decided he didn't wanna cooperate. Obviously not the case here, he didn't need to be tased, but it's important to remember if someone doesn't wanna go easily, they won't.

No no that video is infuriating to watch. In this one, at least one cop gets angry and yells at her. In the other video (one you're talking about) the cops follow her around like lost puppy dogs while she screams and walks into the street several times. The video is so long and has such an unsatisfying ending. The cops were way too nice in that video and it seriously made me angry.
As a 911 dispatcher, this happens ALL the time. 🤦♀️
Also just to explain further, actual “pinging” a phone requires a warrant, but cell phones automatically show the area you call from (mostly) when you call 911 with ALI hits.

I was Military Police so I am not sure about civilian law enforcement, but any use of force (handcuffs, any hands on, taser, or anything on the use of force spectrum) is a use of force statement paper that requires your written recount of the situation and a signature.
I think the boyfriend might have not known there were cops and thought someone was harassing his girlfriend. He looked shocked and suprised to see them there. He should have gotten on the ground, but the cops should have given him more a little more time to get down. I hope he gets a better girlfriend, this lady is nuts. He was probably yelling prior to the call to try to get her to calm down.

Not really. The cops, for their safety and preventing the situation from potentially escalating, when approached by someone seemingly aggressive, you have to assume the worst. He might've been unarmed, but as a cop you don't know if he's hiding a knife, a gun, or any other weapon that, if not considered a possibility, could end up real bad if you give the aggressor even a second to react.
This is this guy's house; he could be prepared with anything.

Uk police dispatcher here. When a 999 call is made we get mobile provider, shape: usually elipse. A confidence level. Eastings and Northings. Semi major and minor …nothing else. If the confidence is out which it usually is we can’t locate you so well. Asking for a subscriber check for personal details connected to the phone takes time. And asking for phone data in relation to the locality as to where the phone “pinged” last costs a lot and also takes longer and still won’t be accurate like it is in CSI or other television shows.
In an emergency even if you can’t speak best thing to do is blurt out clearly where you are. Give a precise location and hang up. Or work into a conversation where you are. We will be there asap. Don’t think we can magically track your location. It doesn’t work that way. Love you all and stay safe ❤
For the emergency call, that is not accurate everywhere- so while it's like that in the UK, in the US where this was (and where Ken's buddy lived) police will most certainly be able to show up to where you are if you call them (just like in this video they were able to find their apartment- they will show up even if you don't blurt out a location- which CAN get you killed). In the US they are able to get relay a relatively precise location for the phone which is why they show up even if someone doesn't actually even talk to them (for example, a kid playing a video game butt dialed (likely accidently hit the emergency call option on phones that are built in, at least in the US that I know of) and yelled something like I killed them all, (something people yell when playing games like Call of Duty) and a whole team showed up directly to his house. He didn't give them his address in the first place. In the US and I'm sure plenty of other countries exact locations most certainly can be tracked. I can even see my delivery driver on apps every step of the way 😂
I also thought perhaps other staff members can access for information, depending on their role?
I’m not doubting your role and I assume at the time you can only work with so much, and being more direct the better.
Though why is there campaigns in the UK to keep silent on the phone if you are in danger? I’ve seen it on TV and on the radio? If they can’t find you they wouldn’t make public campaigns encouraging you to remain silent on the phone? I don’t agree talking in a dangerous situation is always possible or safe… just my take 😊 I’m sure they can find you if they want to!
Best thing to do is use "3 little words" then you can get their exact location.

May be should encourage more to have the app for hostile situations and phonecalls! Though as I said, in my local area there is campaigns to remain silent on the phone if in danger and they can locate you.

That’s crazy that they tazed him after he put his hands down and did not approach them. If they whipped it the taser and instantly tazed him that would be one thing. But nah, he heard her yelling, ran up to the door ready to defend his girl and put his hands down when he saw that it was the cops. Then after yelling, “leaver her alone!” THAT was enough to taze him? She is insane, boyfriend feels like a victim and I hope he is far, far away from her, for his own sake.

Ok chill guys. We don’t know what she said he did during the call… she was acting erratically… he came out hot….. I mean I don’t blame them. The situation was threatening enough… What frustrates me is he got tazed because of her. He opened the door because he heard her being upset and was defending her. He may not have even known it was the cops. She called the cops. They were there because of HER. SHE was making a scene and escalating the situation. This whole thing was because of HER. So your anger should be at HER. And hopefully he learned a lesson that you can’t step to the cops like that because it’s incredibly dumb to do that.
