As a European, I can confirm that we live in the past. We don't even have an internet connection yet. Who or what is a Kyle Gordy? The moment you choose to go on a reality show you legally go into a different threshold for defamation/libel according to the courts.

And in the US truth is an absolute defense against defamation anyway.

It also has to have caused a financial loss, defamation and libel (if you write it rather than say it aloud) are both specific to causing loss of business or money. Like saying an actor committed a crime they didn't, and then no one puts them in movies and they lose money. But jaut saying something that makes someone's feelings hurt, true or not, doesn't matter if you're not losing money over it, that's just being mean. You could possibly try to charge someone with bullying, harassment, emotional duress, but defamation needs to affect income in some way, so this is probably going to get dropped as soon as people are prompted to investigate on an appeal, etc.
Also it's much harder to defame when it's a public figure, also exaggeration doesn't qualify as defamation.

As someone who went through the donor process- stuff is EXPENSIVE. Banks were charging me 1600 a month for two tries and I was using "cheaper samples". Professional donors can be a pain as well. I talked to a dude (not the dude I went with) who only wanted to use a particular doctor for testing, and whom I would have to fly out to a whole other state for the doctor, pay the doctor, fly him back to his state, then fly him to my state where I would pay his room and board for samples (still cheaper than the 1600/month at banks mind you). I ended up going with a slightly cringe "professional donor" charging 100/try and who was down for using my local doctor just for the ease and the price point. When you want a baby that bad, you're basically open to anyone that makes it relatively easy and straight forward. 👀💦

Yes. The lack of effort he put into getting ready for the date and lack of table manners is a clear indicator he thinks that woman is not even worth putting in the bare minimum effort to impress her. If someone shows you their true colors as early as the first date, consider yourself lucky to not have wasted more time on him and run.
Personally, I would not dress up for a date either. I don't really own any fancy clothes, but I would definitely prepare more than he did. Shower, put on clean clothes, and have some manners. Her expectations were probably too high, but he didn't even come close. Humans just don't have the intelligence levels needed to comprehend some very basic concepts of behavior. Truly disappointing.
