Turns out Kiss sold everything. They sold their image, music, band(brand) name for over 300 million. That means that Gene has no say now in who uses anything involving KISS now. Gene just doesn't want people to know that he is now powerless so he's gonna go along with it. IF she'd tried this 10 or 15 years ago he would've sued her from here to next Sunday. KISS no longer owns KISS. Pophouse Entertainment Group owns everything KISS now.

Ive watched dance moms ever since the first season and was able to watch jojo grow. And tbh the only reason why her persona was a hit is because she made herself super marketable. She had her iconic look (big bow), iconic dance style (jazz/hip hop over the top), and iconic personality (outspoken and not afraid to stand up for herself). And for a while she was like a breath of fresh air for the dance community, and no one could deny that this strategy WORKED to get her noticed. People either hated her or loved her, with the majority of the spotlight on her personality rather than her actual abilities.
But post dance moms as she stepped into Nickelodeon/TikTok territory her marketable persona was no longer “special” like it previously was in the dance moms bubble. Context is important. The TikTok bubble was filled with popular creators with big personalities and even more talent. She doesn’t stand out. So my interpretation is that now she’s throwing everything she has at being a “personality” while using her dancing and singing as a crutch. But let’s be honest, she’s not that great as a dancer or singer, and her stage presence is still too forced. She was never a “natural performer” like dance moms tried to shape her up to be, she was just brave enough to do these things. So she’s stuck between “not being lovable enough to be a widely beloved Internet personality” and “not being good enough to be a full fledged singer”. When you really think about it, yes she’s talented, but her talent isn’t enough to support her giant personality
