So your trailer is 9,990 lb your truck is 13,000 lb that puts you at almost 23,000 pounds gross vehicle weight so you can only haul a 3,000 lb load or can you haul a 10,000 lb load because your scale weight would then be over 26,000 lbs you didn't clarify that too much in the video

I am glad I came across this video because I did not know if you are towing a trailer it has to be 10000 pounds or less. Can you tell me where you found your gooseneck at, I have looked online and they are way over 10000 pounds. That would help me out so much !

So if my truck has a gvwr of 8,800pnd and my trailer has a gvwr of 10,000, can I haul a 9,500 pound skidloader?

North stare offers ramp latches aswell with alot of similar options but the build quality is alot less.

So your saying if your weighs 13,14k you add that to your trailer weight for example 9,990lbs = your only left with 2,2.5k lbs to haul ? To stay under the 26k mark ?

What happens loading as a non cdl and your drive axle GVWR rating is exceeded but combination is under ? Do they check it on inspection

I’m confused, can you please clarify something . If your trailer has 2 8k axles how is it rated at 9990? And if your gvw combo is @ Aprox 23000 and if you have 4k pounds of cargo are you going to get a fine for over weight ?

How much can you tow?The trailer has a max weight it can tow.

I drive a nissan titan with a cummins. How does tow rating apply. My tow rating is 11,900. Does that mean if my trailer weighs 5,000 I can only load 6,900??? Thanks

I don't know where these guys are getting this info from that you don't have to have a CDL to drive a vehicle with a gvwr between 10,000 lbs and 26,000 lbs, but it's wrong unless there have been a lot of changes made in the regulations in the last few years. For that weight rating you have to have a D class CDL with a physical. It doesn't matter what state you're in because CDL regulations are federal, which are the same in every state. I don't know what this E class chauffer's license is you're talking about, but a C class CDL is for any passenger bus over 15 people, the short propane and fuel trucks, and limos, a B class CDL is for any single vehicle rated over 26,000 lbs like a box truck, and the A class CDL is for any truck-trailer combination rated over 26,000 lbs. If that trailer has 2 8,000 lb axles then it should have a rating of 16,000 lbs, not just 9,900, meaning that with the truck being rated at 14,000 lbs puts you at 30,000 lbs requiring an A class CDL.
