    I like the point of asking for more money. I am aware that "Shipping Wars" is for ratings etc. but my kids used to watch it. I always thought, "why would anyone want to do something for less than is being offered, if anything, I would raise the price." You just solidified my thought. Hope to have my authority up and running 1-2-22. Your videos are very informative and helpful. Stay safe out there.

    Love this content. You are doing great work and putting out quality content while doing all of that. I find your videos very helpful and informative. I myself am working on getting into the industry and Im trying to do all the research I possibly can before I start, plus ai have a few things I have to take care of and get in order first. I am hoping to be out and on the road within the next couple months maybe sooner, but just wanted to thank you and everyone that helps along the way. Keep up the great work and drive safe.

      Well, i hope the other vidoes are more relevant than this one... A, it's mostly a shout out to his boys and almost has nothing to do with the title of this video except for "go to the lumber yard and introduce yourself"... No great booking websites, brokers mentioned for "booking great loads" at all... And B, the 3 trailer websites have zero trailers over 30 feet and the average in this business is 40... Essentially, this video is just clickbait :(

  • @yarkodog69
    @yarkodog69 Před 2 lety +1

    Just found your channel, probably my favorite hot shot channel. Fantastic content!!! If you don’t mind, how do you formulate a rate for the customer?

    • @shipleytransport3211
      @shipleytransport3211  Před 2 lety +1

      It’s all figured per customer and per load. So I know my operating cost per mile and it allows me to say “No matter what, I will not go below this number”. After that, it all depends on the size, timeframe, destination, and how good of a customer they are for me. All those things play a part in my overall earnings so I must think about all of it.

    Just watched part one and 2. You're doing it right. Follow up. Timely response time and communication. I'm in planning and business plan stage. I have to sell my wife. And myself. I can either buy the truck and trailer outright or finance them. Not sure what to do there.
    Keep the videos coming thank you!

    • @shipleytransport3211
      @shipleytransport3211  Před 2 lety +2

      So that’s is 100% a personal choice. I’m no expert with that stuff. I will say this, it makes sense in my head to finance them if you can get the interest low enough so that you have plenty of operating and emergency money.
      I appreciate the feedback and support too Jeff!
