      Also, good luck on the testing! With some studying, it should go great! Make sure you study the General Knowledge as well as the Combination tests. Both will be needed for this work.

    You're right about these guys and their character, im seeing alot of disrespectful hoodlums entering the business, dirty trucks, unknowledgable of rules and regs and no interest to learn them. And you're right about the forums they're brutal these guys are getting ripped apart on there.

    Hey, I love your content. Being a veteran I truly appreciate your outlook on Brotherhood and be professional!
    One question… do you recommend getting a CB for the truck? Is that too old school?

  • @mwdubinz
    @mwdubinz Před 3 lety +1

    Hi Craig, thank you for the content. I have enjoyed all your videos. You mentioned other drivers not wanting the rates to be driven down, that is fear. Fear makes people act in irrational and unfortunate ways. The Union, the brother and sisterhood needs to make a comeback; that is the tool to lift and keep rates up as well as lift up, educate, and inform one another. Just my opinion there. How long did you lease on for? Was the pay percentage or per mile?

    • @shipleytransport3211
      @shipleytransport3211  Před 3 lety

      I really appreciate you saying that. I fully agree.
      I leased on for right at a year. It was all paid on a percentage of gross line haul since I owned all my own equipment and paid all my own expenses. I was lucky and found a guy that let me start booking my own freight really quickly so I always knew the exact numbers.

    One of the first things I noticed watching your vids was that you spoke proper English and that your personal grooming was good. Too bad about more drivers don't care about their image.

    Maybe a dumb question, but do they sell a wind deflector you can attach to the roof of your truck, like the big rigs, to reduce drag from tall loads?

    At some point you are going to realize your not doing your miles and pay rates correctly
    You are taking jobs based on total miles not loaded miles per contract!
    You have been off by a lot on your rate per miles on your calculations
    I’m a 43 year company CDL 18 wheeler ups driver
    Over 5 million mile and still driving
    If
    You have to drive to your next paying load then your using miles per rate to get your load out of your payment for the load

  • @tswr51
    @tswr51 Před 3 lety +1

    Not showing anything. Just sitting in your truck yapping. Why don’t you show what you did; booking the load, picking up the load, delivering, driving, etc.?
