      Haha I respect the hustle. As of right now we are not looking to add anyone on. We are looking to possibly lease on some owner operators around November but they will need their own equipment. Give me a shout closer to then if you’re interested. Really appreciate the support on the channel too!

    Not what you said in last video. Just say total weight including cargo must be LESS THEN 26k in weight

  • @bryonsusedautos
    @bryonsusedautos Před 3 lety +1

    You can put more then 8k on the trailer! Also why do you need to stay at 26k or less when you just said that you have a cdl? Also What about IFTA have you gotten that?

    • @shipleytransport3211
      @shipleytransport3211  Před 3 lety

      So the trailer weighs 8,000 lbs. The GVWR is 18,000. That’s why in the video I stated I can only put up to 10,000 lbs on it.
      The truck plus the trailer have an empty weight of 17,000 lbs. To stay at or under 26k, means my max weight capacity is 9,000 lbs for freight.
      My truck is still registered at 26k so no, I do not need IFTA, apportioned plates, or the drug and alcohol consortium as of now.

      @@shipleytransport3211 What is the trucks GVWR? Say its 12k and the trailer is 18k well thats 30k so why and you got a cdl so why would you stay at 26k? Also when and if a DOT checks and the GVWR numbers are over 26k its going to be a bad day!

      @@bryonsusedautos I can have a GVWR of 50,000 but I can be registered at 26k legally and still run Non-CDL weights as long as I don’t go across the scales above 26k. I need a CDL for the GVWR but that’s it. As I stated in the video, I had multiple reasons for getting my CDL and this way, I’m still 100% legal. Have a great day Focker!

      @@shipleytransport3211 You have to be registered at or around the GVWR ratings. I mean then why get a CDL and why not just derate the trailer that doesnt make any sense? Here is the IFTA requirements!
