Another great informative video. I highly respect the way you do things sir, you seem very down to earth. I'm ordering my Diamond C 35ft FMAX 207 next week. It would be an honor to meet you on the road some day, keep the great vids coming.
I’m really glad you enjoy them sir! I hope you really enjoy the Diamond C as well! If you get a lead time that is short (2/3 months or less), let me know! I know a lot of people that would be HIGHLY interested! Also, I don’t know if I would come close to call it an honor for you haha. Just a regular guy trying to be authentic and put good info out there! Hope to meet up with you either way though!
I’ve heard and seen a lot of good reviews on Diamond C, sounds like a good choice 👍🏿
RIP brother. As they say, you never know what others are going through. I pray for your wife and children. May god rest your soul.

Thanks for the breakdown on operations. Regardless of other videos on carrier set up I would like to see your thoughts.
I’m doing my homework on those and will get back to you or get a video about it out soon.
Hey ole buddy just checking in. I hope your fliying high up there!
Wow bro rest ezy. Very informative humble brother.
I have just found your channel. I have a 2016 f250 super duty xlt. I am having trouble figuring out what trailer would be best to maximize profits. What is your aside from buying a 1 ton truck lol.
I'm a company driver for a small family they have three Hot shot trucks and honestly I love it they take care of us really well and pay is pretty well too I average about 1200 to 1300 a week before taxes so I mean it's pretty nice and they swapped your trucks and trailers out every 3 years they've been in business for like going on 10 years I guess so they've been around for a little bit as a small company
That’s awesome man! Love to hear about great companies taking care of good people like yourself!
What are some companies here in Missouri I could work for until I learn enough to start my own business?
Why’s you stop putting out videos broski??
id love see a vid on strapping or securing loads
Absolutely! Working on that coming up soon here!
Praying for the Shipley family
This is kind of off topic, but have a question for how you’re doing things;
In a previous video you mentioned you got your cdl, and your new trailer isn’t derated. Are you still running non-cdl and if so, how does that work if your gcwr capability is greater than 26,001? I’m curious because I’ll be upgrading my trailer before I update my truck. And if/when I upgrade my truck I’m thinking dually
Thanks in advance!
That’s a great question. So I am currently doing everything as if my trailer was derated and I didn’t have a CDL. As long as I’m registered at 26,000 total weight on my truck (because Missouri does not assign weight plates to the trailer), then I’m still a Non-CDL hauler.
My having a CDL is the only thing required to change with the change in my combined GVWR to over 26,000.
Sir, I really like your videos, very informative. Are you still driving and/or posting videos
He passed away
@@diamondhead203 I did see that he passed, terrible news. He seemed like a good guy.
I'm in the process of setting up my own authority. I'm leaning a ton but am still unsure about a lot of things. I own my truck and trailer out right, no payments. still unsure about the dispatching and the little things that aren't covered in videos like yours. I my have missed it, but do you own your own authority or are you leased on with a company?
I have been leased on and after learning a lot that way, I started and run my own authority.
Hey , John my wife and I have a dispatching business and we can help you book loads.
How do you know if you’re being taken advantage of ? Or ripped off ? I’m making 25% on the loads and I have to pay my insurance. Any advice is appreciated.
Update gentle men
Looking at a 2012 f250 XL. It has a gvwr of 10k. With 12k to 12.5k towing capacity.
And looking at a big tex goose neck 28' + 5' (I'm assuming 33 ft) gvwr 15900. So im just under both the gcwr and gvwr.
Is the 2012 f250 XL a suitable vehicle? Or do I still need a dually?
i called to see about freight insurance and they wanted 4 main commodities what ones did you choose i was clueless lol Any ideas?
What factoring company do you use?
I just graduated high school. Bought me a 12 lml duramax and want to hit the road. I’m gonna get the biggest trailer I can have for being non cdl. Is it as easy as getting an llc n finding loads online?
Yes it is!
Are you still Non CDL??? I contacted Quality trailers in Joplin asking to keep the trailer 12k GVWR or below and they are not sure how you got the FMAX208 for below 12k..
I contacted another place who said they can derate a trailer for me ... My truck is 14k GVWR so 12k GVWR is my max
Do I need a BOC3 for hot shot inter state?
Who’s channel did you reference?
For which part? I make references to Banks Shipping and Hotshot Macc quite a bit!
@@shipleytransport3211 bank’s shipping, thanks haven’t seen any new content from him
@@yarkodog69 make you subscribe to him. He does put stuff out about every week or so!
@@shipleytransport3211 got it updated, seeing new content again safe travels
Great video. One main thing I didn’t hear you mention or talk about was factoring or getting paid. I know it’s hard to cover every point but that’s a major one. Something like if you are a BIG BOSS you are waiting 30-60 days to get paid for a load. As a driver or owner operator you get paid weekly by your BIG BOSS and don’t have to wait for payments to clear. That should be included in the 20% 25% 30% that the company your are leased too charges you as an owner operator. Love your videos you make it simple and have a good positive vibe. Thanks bro
That’s a very good point. You either wait yo get paid or you pay a portion yo get paid faster.
Thanks for your reply. And yes that’s a big weight to carry when going full out on your own. You need to have enough funds to be able to wait 30-60 days to get paid. Unless you want to pay 2% or 3% for outside factoring.
A to D what license do you need to do hotshot?
