Good video, good video my man. I am in the process of starting a one man auto transport business here in n texas. And I have been looking for info on the chevy trucks...thank you.
Great video. Seen a lot of guys bashing Chevy... I just got my 21 3500 DRW and love it... Love the way it looks, drives, and feels going down the road. Just need to get my trailer and Im all set to start hauling. If you know anyone selling a 30+ non-cdl, let me know haha. Manufactures are backed up. I had one on order that was supposed to come this week and now they tell me they cant get it to me until Mid May. I just quit my job, so kinda gotta get goin here haha keep up the videos
I’m glad you’re loving your truck man! At the end of the day, it’s your money so as long as you’re happy with how you spent it, that’s all that matters. As far as a trailer goes, look me up on Facebook either personally or at Shipley Transport LLC. Know of two of them you can get within the next 30 days.
@@shipleytransport3211 i would, but I've been banned from Facebook... which is dumb, but whatever. I may try to create a new account. Its been 6 months.
@@shipleytransport3211 HEY. So fortunately I was able to locate a trailer today. So I made that purchase. Got a Big Tex 16gn 30+5. Im ready to start hauling! lol
Whats year make & model? I have Class A since 2015 and was company to owner operator. Now like this idea... Non-cdl hot shot. You got me interested, determined n drive again to get back into it. But reason why im asking about truck? Not wanting new... Just to get started & get going.
Hey man! I just came across your channel. And man. You’re probably the most helpful channel out there. I had a question, I’m looking into buying a 2004 Silverado 3500 dually duramax. Gross weight of the truck is 11,400. And max towing is 12,000. So that means I need to buy a trailer that weighs less than 12,000 pounds to be non-cdl legal? How does the weight of whatever I’m towing come into play? Thank you
I really appreciate the feedback! Truly glad to help. When it comes to max tow ratings, that’s the total weight the manufacturer states the vehicle can tow safely. So trailer AND freight shouldn’t go over that rating. You can do things to upgrade the truck with air bags on the rear, bigger brakes, and motor upgrades to try to help that out as well. Just do your research on each vehicle you’re considering and find out it’s flaws and strong points.
@@shipleytransport3211 that’s what I don’t get, what do you mean truck plus trailer should be the same? Sorry. I’m very new to this and I’m trying to do as much research as possible. Might buy this truck by this weekend lol
You're awesome can you please tell me how much cost the truck and trailer actually how much cost for start Hotshot like you do. I have C non CDL and I'm in Illinois can I do that in Chicago Illinois . Thanks
So any time you have a limit, it does just that, limits you. I will say that keeping my stuff at 35’ and 10,000 lbs or less doesn’t really stop me from staying loaded at a “pretty good” rate when I’m running. Then again, “pretty good” is a completely subjective term so take that for what you will.
By far the best explanation on this topic been asking this question for like 3 months thinking about starting in hotshot trucking
Really glad to help!
Very informative! Thanks.
Appreciate the feedback Dennis!

What’s a good truck for hauling cars and what all do I need to get into that ?

@@shipleytransport3211 I appreciate the reply. So overall, My total weight shouldn’t go over 26,000. Truck, trailer, and freight. To be non cdl
@@wiedlo correct. Total weight should be 26k or less. Then total GVWR of truck PLUS trailer should be the same.

What trans does your truck have and rear ratio. Also what year is truck.
The 2013 Duramax comes with the Allison 6 speed auto and a 3:73 rear end ratio.
Just got me a 2019 F550
Congrats! I hope you love it!
Are you also doing hotshot?
@@keithjr1117 yes
By only being able to haul 10,000 lbs, does that limit you very much on the loads you can get.

Humm, Chevy trucks seem to be a personal work truck, not a true commercial work truck. 👍👀
