Imagine if these were 7 floor hydros this big.. probably need 2 DT-221-TALL power units and 4 100HP motors. This is definitely more efficient, but not as cool as if it were hydraulic.

This elevator really contrasts with the size of the elevators at Costco in Norwalk, CT

i think the strange bit is that one motor is dry powered and the other one is oildraulic. meaning there are 2 pistons

I realized someone put down a reverse card which meant the left elevator was working and the right elevator was not working.

I rode the left elevator today and it had an epic motor unlike the right elevator with the fan on

It's to let you in floors you're authorized to be in. You can't just waltz in a another tenet bussiness's floor.

And I am willing to bet the stairwells are locked for one way egress to prevent one from going to other floors 😡

A few years ago I saw a THYSSEN elevator in Aschaffenburg. I noticed the door was whirring and humming while it was open and the whirring noise got louder when the door started closing.

These would have a super cool machine room with them being orginal

This is most likely an ITI power unit. Schindler used to love using them on their non-oem installs. Now, they use MEI. Originally they used EECO, then ITI, and now MEI.

I saw a MontgomeryKone so violently low on oil that it shut itself down on protection after the first ride to the top..

I love how your area is modding then with dry power units. Marta is only seening to use generic submersible units, sadly. They probably won't stand the test of time.

And literally like half of the elevators here are broken due to water damage. I think 4 cars including the O Car are currently broken. There was a little bit where the O Car was open on the 36th floor & the ceiling had mold/water damage & the COP swing-return was open. These were actually supposed to get TK TWIN, the 1st in the U.S. Marshall was approved to install them in 2006, but the university held off, & by 2014 when they got the funding to do a mod. to these, Otis had bought Marshall. Would've been so much better if these actually had TWIN.
