Could these be one of the worst elevator systems I've seen?
So many burnt out lanterns, hall buttons, and bell solenoids clearly scream a total ADA violation. These things take a goddamn century to even get to you and I was burning through my phone's battery and storage trying to get starting footage for the video of these. Clearly two of the six elevators are broken and the obnoxiously high traffic this hotel receives made these become absolute disasters. These clearly have the least efficient controllers I've seen and I have no clue if it's one of those old school PLC based types. The keyreader situation on these are an absolute joke. These have the STUPIDEST keyreader systems I've ever seen. Only select floors are locked depending on the COP you use and the system used is obsolete to the hotel. Clearly they are unlocked (good news for elevator fans). Not only all of the above, even actual guests have criticized the elevators here (and you can hear a guest's raw opinion on them at 0:56).
To summarize my five billion sentence rant of these crappy elevators, these are a total s%*tshow. These clearly need to be modded with a full destination dispatch system as soon as possible. Obviously, try to keep the dinner bells.
Clearly the entire place has to be one of the biggest dumpster fires I've seen. This place is clearly an overkill zoo that's overpopulated. The entire place was worn down and dysfunctional. The Lucky Snake Arcade is also the biggest laughingstock I've seen, especially the pinball section.
The elevators in the entire premises though, are the biggest pieces of crap I've seen. I've said enough about the Bourbon Tower elevators. The Mardi Gras tower elevators are also some of the glitchiest and run down Dover elevators I've seen. The Premier Lite ones were kinda decent, but also glitchy.

Also, little to no shaft noise does not mean an elevator is broken or out of service. It could just be that theyâre not being used, going back to the possibly faulty controller system they have here.
I mentioned nothing about shaft noise being the cause of an out of service elevator. There's probably another legit reason why two were broke
These would have a super cool machine room with them being orginal
They would definitely have an awesome machine room regardless
The description is wrong, 500fpm is 2.5 m/s
Oops, I'll fix that soon. Nice catch
these need a mod
totally
They can atleast keep the westy bells
Lol wow that description. Sure theyâre pretty glitchy, but not that big of a deal. People really need to calm down about these elevators. Youâre not the only one Iâve seen talking about them like that. The Doverâs just might be worse than this in my opinion. Also the service elevators in this tower are epic. Hopefully all the banks here will stay original for a long time. Sure the Westinghouse bank in this video as well as the Dover elevators in the other tower could use a controller upgrade but thatâs about it if you ask me.
A controller upgrade with load weighing would be a great solution. MCE or SmartRise wouldn't be bad. The Dovers definitely were crap here.
@@dmvelevatorsandmore I think MCE would be a good choice. I just donât see it happening anytime soon because I donât think this place is necessarily filling the rooms if you know what Iâm saying. You should check the reviews for the place, theyâre not great unfortunately.
Also, you got me with Lucky Snake. Lucky Snake rules! best arcade iâve seen outside of Wildwood.
@Dwall44 I honestly wish Lucky Snake would take better care of their stuff, especially the pinball machines as 90% of them had at least one issue when I came here
