Rare Position Indicator! Maryland National hydraulic elevator at 8081 Wolftrap Rd in Vienna VA

(📹 6/10/2024) This is a Maryland National elevator at 8081 Wolftrap Rd in Vienna VA. Like every other MD National I've seen, it has GAL RBW buttons. However, I was up for a treat with this one. Generally I would've expected to see your typical GAL multi-light indicator, but nope, I finally got to see the old school "GAL" 16 segment indicator in person for the first time ever. Those are starting to become rare due to their age and the fact that not a lot of elevators have it. They are quite epic in my opinion compared to the usual and boring CE Electronics 16 segment "ACME" indicators. The motor on this reminds me of some of the Montgomery A-Series hydro motors I've heard in person. Apparently, there's only two tenants here, and they are both Saudi Arabian agencies, with one of them being Saudia Airlines. I'm surprised that Saudia has an office here of all places I could imagine. Never would expect that in a little office building like this.
