  • (đź“ą 6/4/2024) Here is a new KONE MonoSpace DX elevator at Sandbox VR at The Boro in Tysons VA. I was originally expecting a LULA here, but they end up having this instead, which is WAY better. I'm surprised they went with KSS 140 for this install. Of course since Virginia is an ASME 2019 state, it has a screen for communication with deaf users. Unfortunately, I've seen demonstrations of those screens being touchscreens, but this one didn't work. The cab is surprisingly tall for a basic elevator like this. I came here as a gift for graduating high school and it was AMAZING. This place has some of the coolest technology I've seen and this is so much better than the VR place that was at Tysons Corner Center, which shut down due to Covid. I highly recommend checking out this place for their VR experiences. If you're doing two players like I did, I'd highly recommend Deadwood Valley, which was fantastic. If you have a group of people, I was told by an employee that they recommend Squid Game.

It's so deaf people can respond to the operator's prompts on the screen

Well if you enjoyed the VR experience, you can pick up a Quest 2 for $200 and then later down the line some silme VR trackers for another $150 for full body tacking.
Also Kone is a good elevator company and the speed is appropriate for 2 levels. I swear if they put in a LULA elevator it would be too slow at 0.1 m/s.

The only problem is that I never use too much VR. This was definitely better than a LULA. Would've taken ten times longer compared to this

I see yeah VR can make you dizzy. Hence why I olny use mine only ounce every two weeks and yes can argee that a Lula Elevator would have been a disaster.

@@AnonymousUser-ww6ns It gets uncomfortable when I wear a VR headset for long periods of time, plus excessive screen fogging. I had to immediately fill out my liability waiver for this after I stopped filming this elevator. My dad would've been angry at me had this been a LULA since we were both called at the same time to do our forms.
