2 months later and the revo hotend for x1 isnt available from their site. they have changed the status to "pre order" meaning this is not finished or there are issues?

I print in my small DIY spray paint booth (uses two 300mm 550 watt extraction fans with commercial filters),which is setup in my garage. It works great in removing all smells/fumes outside. Highly recommend for keeping you and your family healthy.

What website did you use to design it?

I`m currently running ender 3 Pro on sonic pad, quite happy with it but I`m guessing Troodon 2 Mini pro be miles ahead of my current set up? What hotend upgrade would you recommend for Troodon 2, or just swap the nozzle? I`m 95% certain I`ll buy it !

For stringing try lowering the temperatures of the nozzles to around 190C

BTT has since removed the “addition and editing” portion about third party filament from their website, but you CAN do this from Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer, both support syncing third party filaments to the X1C and presumably to the Pseries via Bambu handy. When you add a custom filament in BS/OS it does show up on Bambu handy, so selection is still possible, just not addition and editing (yet) it seems.

I plan to use a Trianglelab WIDI adapter to be able to install a CHT nozzle. While true that 14 mm^3/s is enough, I want to be sure to still get maximum layer adhesion at that speed, which as of not it might not be true (see channel DIY PERSPECTIVE).

Bambu hotends are $15 -temperatures are correct -fan doesn't need to be ripped off -changes take 2 minutes

I got one, it’s refused to work from Day one, updated firmware, cleaned everything, rebuilt everything, checked every cable, uninstalled and re-installed it on lightburn. Still creality are refusing to take it back, even their online CS said it was too complicated for them. Pile of junk.

So I had a late pre-order - I've had mine a few months. The nice thing is...how much has been ironed out. I don't worry that much about speed so I can't speak to that - but I can say, anecdotally, that my xl runs like a champ. It. Just. Works. I've been running it nearly non-stop. The 6.x firmware has all but totally remove vibration. The bottom line is this machine has a lot of advanced tech in it - and fully using it all correctly is taking some time to get right. But it's definitely moving forward. No regrets here.

would love to see how it matches up against the ratrig vcore-4 idex once it's out. Love the idex revival :)

There is a small problem in your code: In unklicky.g are some lines which occure problems: G1 X60 ; wipe off G90 ; absolute M98 P"/macros/Klicky/moveto/clickstage.g" That means after unklicky the head will move 60mm right and than again to this coordinates. That means it would take the probe after putting it in the dock.

You put fake progerss bars on your video and I"m not watching. Only falling for that once.

Looks very solidly built, but it also has some odd design choices that may or may not actually prove out. It looks like the IDEX ratrig vcore 4 is going to compete with this printer, and their offering looks more convincing at the moment.

Im stuck between the new Troodon 2.0 Pro or the K1 Max, I realllly want to go with yhe troodon

I hope the Prusa XL improves fast from here on, at least fast enough to remain relevant when more tool changers come to the market over the next few years. I was seriously thinking about an XL, and contemplating a twin tool head version that I could later upgrade to five. I love the approach Prusa have to upgrades over time, and to continuous product improvement. I think that's really the key advantage of a Prusa over other manufacturers. I'd buy a Mark 4 now, because it's been sorted and just works and has beautiful quality, but its build area is not large enough for what I need. But the XL is not yet at that point of reaching its performance potential. I have to say, I so want to support Prusa and see the XL succeed. They deserve it for their investment in open source, Prusa slicer, and their dedication to quality and innovation. But their product development speed is just not up there at the level people are starting to expect after Bambu Labs arrived on the scene. I watched this video after just having watched CNC Kitchen's interview of the Bambu Labs CEO, and he teased that the next generation 'X2' printers would be when they would launch a larger sized printer, but they wanted to wait until the printer was not only 'the same but larger' but had moved the product on to the next step... which makes me wonder if that "next step" will include tool changers... and whether by the time Prusa's XL is fully sorted, Bambu will have launched a tool changer XL competitor that's faster, cheaper, with fully sorted Prusa slicer derivative 'Bambu Multimaterial Slicer'? But the price point for two tool heads, when the machine isn't fully functioning after two years, has made me think twice. I'm currently thinking of getting a Qidi X Max 3 instead as a stop-gap printer, and waiting for a year or so to see what happens with the XL and whether any better alternatives arrive. I'm sure I can't be alone in taking this approach, given the Qidi and now SOVOL SV08 price points are so competitive. My worry for Prusa is that they just can't compete on price without moving to a mass production model like Bambu. I hope they find a way to accelerate their development work, because I would happily buy Prusa over alternatives if only their product development was faster and their launch products did what the marketing claims.

I am curiouse if this would also work for a LDO Voron 2.4 RevC. I used the RRP configurator for the first steps and want now to include the Klicky probe. But most of you configuration files are a little bit different from mine :D

Please more videos about this printer. After you first video, I bought one and have the box now a few weeks sitting around. I really want to use it but would like a quick start and not fiddle around for days to get useful prints.

Frankly it still feels like a rushed design, better wait for the mk2, specially at those prices.

Nah. I get a complete hotend assembly for 36€ from Bambu. Changing the hotend takes around 1min if already cold. I have 0.2-0.6 Hotends and change them when necessary but 90% of the time I print with 0.4mm anyway.

So the printer comes from factory with a busted extruder. Welp that's an easy dont buy red flag. Easy pz..thanks for sharing the truth.

I hope your prints have been coming out better than mine after twenty odd prints so far only three were acceptable, problems bird nests and shifting have been the outcome!
