Deity Timecode Adapter for SONY FX3 & FX30 (how-to modify to BNC)
Jim Keaney modifies the Deity C23 Timecode Adapter from its stock 1/8" TRS connector to a BNC. If you use Deity TC-1 or Tentacle Sync boxes, you'll be fine with the way the C23 comes stock. But if you are using mostly BNC timecode cables, here's how to modify it.

Zaxcom NOVA - How To Update Firmware
zhlédnutí 264Před 3 měsíci
Jim Keaney shows the process to update firmware on Zaxcom’s Nova Recorder. Important: If you are updating Nova1 from 3.xx to 4.xx, your old Memory Presets (if created on 3.xx) won't jive with the 4.xx's routing. So BEFORE doing a factory reset and building your settings again by hand, I recommend you do this: czcams.com/video/3yPuBNBxSXg/video.html NOTE: If you encounter a 'white screen of doom...

A note for opening the Nova (1 or 2)... Of the 10 small screws holding the chassis to the front panel, the 2 screws that land above the F7 button and below the F10 button are cut a little shorter than the others. It is necessary to use these shorter screws in those 2 locations (if the longer screws are used, they may put pressure on those buttons - causing them to function improperly (or not at all). If your 'F#' buttons don't always respond, Zaxcom recommends loosening the chassis screws near those buttons. Personally, I just leave those 2 screws out altogether.

Nova 1, which requires a CR2330, is located near the rear and can be accessed without removing the middle plate. However the Nova 2 (which requires a CR2032) is located closer to the front panel (behind encoder #3) and does require the middle plate to come off the stand-offs. Also to get the Nova 2 chassis open, you'll need to remove the 2 bolts on the rear DB15 connector.

Hi Terry, If your transmitter pack accepts 3.5mm lavs, all the lav mics in this video should work as long as you order a version that is termintated with 3.5mm(1/8”) or has a 1/8” adapter. Your brand of wireless system might have special wiring, so look for compatibility with that brand when you order.

Facebook should not be your presence whether they have issues or whether they change their opinions on something. I have run across so many pages where I want to know a time or location or something and it opens up and it's never logged in on my phone through Safari even though I'm logged in on the app and it's just a pain to get the information.

Oh wow what a professional company who has a website who could put a firmware page but no we're just gonna put everything on Google Drive! I'm sure it's convenient on the production end of things. Scary from the security aspect that anybody who has access to the shared folder could push malicious material! Most likely by accident! And not always convenient for the user which is why we have to have a video explaining how to find it. And for most web activities it's always a single click, Google Drive complicates things it's still a single click. The problem is more they want you to download it to your Google Drive so it doesn't automatically download which is a good thing in a way (drive-by downloads) but adds that extra step of having to click the button.

Decided to rewatch, noticed the scratchy coat from the beginning this time, last time I didn't realize it until 5:00 So I just assumed it was the Lav mic HAHA! for on camera audio that's pretty good! Knowing all the noises around construction personally and also being gifted with super sensitive hearing and love for Audio.... A lot of stuff can get hidden simply by visual context wide versus close which can fit with the context. oh yeah there's a truck going through the background so it's OK to have a little rumble. I'm more live sound but totally interested in production / video sound as well. Watching a ton of videos online and i got myself a nice fn8 pro recorder last year. Hoping to get out there and record things now that I'm gonna have some more free time... And then every so often I stumble onto these little gems hiding on the Internet. I used to run around as a kid with a borrowed cassette recorder, trying to record everything. I unfortunately regret not saving a lot of that stuff ( granted it would've helped to have a microphone plugged in on a couple of those recorders, no internal mic! ).

Benefit if dude address Tram is you can face it backwards but mount the windscreen per usual. Doing both of those things really helps fight wind noise when using unhidden.

That’s just some Transpore (medical tape) to hold them in place for size comparison.

@@HubLocationSound thank you! Another question, I have the rode lav mic II with the mic holes facing the front and not the top. How would you recommend placing that under a tshirt without hearing the ruffle if the clothing? I am having so much trouble with that.
