- Jim Keaney modifies the Deity C23 Timecode Adapter from its stock 1/8" TRS connector to a BNC. If you use Deity TC-1 or Tentacle Sync boxes, you'll be fine with the way the C23 comes stock. But if you are using mostly BNC timecode cables, here's how to modify it.

Sony a7s3 also accept timecode with same cable😊
Thanks for the heads up. Looks like that A7S3 firmware (3.00) was just released a few days ago. I happen to own that camera, so I will try to test it out tomorrow.
Came to say the same, I tested it and seems to work well, also same cable with the Rode Wireless Pro works fine, although the connection with the 3.5 mm isn’t very solid with that last device.
@@AdalbertoAlmeida_81 What cable are you referring to? The new firmware allows Timecode LTC into the A7S3's Micro USB port (Sony refers to it as a "Multi Interface")
@@HubLocationSound the Deity C23, same one from your video, it works with the a7Siii the same way it works with the FX3/FX30
@@AdalbertoAlmeida_81 it does. I tested it last week on the new 3.00 firmware
do you need to keep the device connected during the shoot? Or could you use one device for multiple cameras?
These cameras dont have a stable internal timecode generator, so it’s advised to keep a constant feed of LTC timecode sending into the camera.
@@HubLocationSound I saw another youtuber was talking about how it lasts one full day without drifting. I was not sure if I can trust it. Anyways I am waiting for my cables to try it out myself. Thanks for reply, great video!
@@dathofilms I highly doubt any of these cameras would hold frame accurate TC even half a day. Especially with battery & media changes. I’ll have to test that next.
