Excellent review. Thanks a lot.
Great video Jim! Does the M1 have any IFB opportunities? Say transmitting from a cart or from moving bag on set.
Good question. The Base station has a 4-wire jack so on a cart setup, that'd be the way to feed it an aux (IFB) mix. I talk about this in detail on my older review of Hollyland's Mars T1000 Intercom (has the same connectivity as this new Solidcom M1 system): czcams.com/video/x180RDG7XpE/video.html
@@HubLocationSound that answered everything I wondered about! Wouldn't thought about bypassing the coms with the IFB like you did, that's very smart!
How to connect to liveu 800 to holly land solidcom
I have problems - the sound is very quiet and I can't hear myself when I say it is uncomfortable. is this a problem for everyone?
What is the latency like?
Hello ! Thanks for the video. I have a question about IFB. Once you get your external audio signal into the system thru the 4wire input, are you able to decide on which group you can have it/not have it ? Lets say I want the external audio on group A but not on group B, is it possible ? Thank you 🤙
Hi! Yes the 4wire & 2wire are routable to any group.
How’s the audio volume with the standard headsets? I’m concerned in a concert environment It might be hard to hear comms
Hi Chris, I haven’t used it in something that loud yet, but the volume can be turned up quite loud and the ear pad does a nice job of isolating that ear. According to Hollyland, it is designed with concerts in mind.
@@HubLocationSound awesome thank you for the response. I’m going to buy this instead of the eye watering cost of a clear comm system my local church was quoted
Can you connect this to a PC to send audio back and forth the way you demonstrated with the T1000?
The Solidcom M1 has the same 4-Wire ethernet port/pinout as the T1000, so I believe you could route it as I did with the Mars. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1634039-REG/BI/21832/KBID/28200
@@HubLocationSound Thanks. Next question... I need someone to make cables. Gotham Sound and Audio Dept never got back to me. Any other suggestions? Oh, and Is it possible to connect two T1000s together AND also send the audio back and forth between them and a PC?
Hey Jim! What’s the easiest way to get a program feed out of our sound board into the M1?
This cable allows you to feed audio (via XLR) into and out of the comms system using the 4-Wire port (cat5e): www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1634039-REG/BI/21832/KBID/28200
Do you still have this system? If so I have some questions.
Yes
Still hoping to find out what the latency is on these. Any way I can talk you into testing it?
