Zaxnet Board Fix for Zaxcom Nova 1 & 2

Zaxcom has fixed a hardware bug in the Nova and Nova2 that can cause the Zaxnet transmitter to not transmit on power up on some units. The fix is a simple jumper that is added to the Zaxnet board inside the Nova. If you are experiencing this, contact Patrick in service and they will get it sorted out for you.
I created this video as a how-to for anyone else looking to do it themselves. I will just say you really need a clean/small-tipped soldering iron since you’re soldering a tiny wire onto a very tiny surface mount component. Proceed at your own risk.

Did you replace the foam?

I just stuck the original pieces back on. Actually makes more sense to pop that RF connector off with the flathead first, then use the wire to help the foam come up.
