Can u do a complete history of Robert’s rebellion and the Greyjoy rebellion?

I think an interesting series of videos to see would be outlining and exploring the different princesses of the books main series. So much iconography is focused on the kings, but i do think there should be some more in depth focus on the queens and princesses as well. Granted you have already gone over many of them in other videos, so it would be hard to make the series feel different. Still tho, an interesting idea i wanted to share

I’m so glad he was further explored in the Dunk and Egg books. He was a skilled warrior and a loyal defender of his family. His main shortcoming seems to be that he was a hard man who neglected his children because of his own shortcomings emotionally, but he wasn’t heartless. After the disaster of the Ashford tourney he realized he had to take his family in order. He exiled Aerion to Essos for a few years, did his best by Egg by honoring his request to squire with Duncan, and seems to have even tried to help Daeron by arranging a marriage and mentoring him more directly-although it was already too late if it was possible to help a man so tormented by visions at all. When he took the crown he kept a firm hold on the realm after all the unrest and discontent under his brother’s reign.

Why didn't Aegon and Rhaenyra marry for the same reason?

Maekar is one of my favorite underrated Targaryens. I really like his personality, reminds me of stannis. I wish he didnt kill Baelor Breakspear but he is still cool. Also his crown is one of my favorites.

So it's about two week later than planned but another long video covering the reign of King Maekar. This was a nightmare to render, kept getting stuck at 60% for some reason but figured it out in the end. I've added in a few minutes of content that was cut from the original series towards the end that i cut from a few episodes of the main serise, felt like it added good context.

Based on his ears, who else thinks Pyp is a bastard of House Florent?

I'm pretty confident that it's not Harrold Westerling. I think it's Rickard Thorne. Thorne is played by Vincent Regan, who looks very similar to Graeme McTavish, who plays Westerling. They both have practically the same beard, same skin tone, similar facial features. Possibly not the best idea to cast two actors who look so similar, but what can you do?

The thing is that everyone believed Daemon had a hidden motive for everything he did. Everything is twisted and dark with Daemon. When if he would have wanted Rhaenrya in the first place he would have indeed have spend more time in Rhaenrya’s presence. He was in the steps stones while Rhaenrya was growing up, he was with Mysaria as well. Then he came back for short period in 111 AC when Rhaenrya was 14 and then he did not come back to Westeros until 118 AC and he came back to Driffmark not king’s landing. Also between 118-120 Laena and Rhaenrya were very close. So close Rhaenrya bethoted her sons to Laena’a daughters. After Laena died. They waited 2 months until Laenor died and then 6 months after Leanor’s death. So it wasn’t immediately either. Also Rhaenrya was in a fragile position against the greens and Daemon did not a stable home for his girls who were only 4. So they married and for 9 years they live mostly quietly in dragonstone minding their own business and raising their family together. Daemon while at war did no do anything to make Jace’s claim any weaker. Or try to have his son Aegon claim over jace. Or Baela’s over Luke’s for Driffmark. The greens literally did everything they said Daemon would do once Viserys died. I believed that the marriage between Daemon and Rhaenrya could have been for mutual convenience and like I point outs If daemon could have wanted Rhaenrya for himself. He would have got her. with or without Viserys approval. He actually waited until Rhae Royce died in 115 AC to marry Laena. In 115 AC Rhaenrya had already been married to Leanor for 2 whole years she had already given birth to jace in 114 AC and Luke 115 AC. So the show made Daemon kill rhae royce as to show that Daemon was desperate to get Rhaenrya so he could get the throne. It is odd that all of daemon’s children survived. His two sons became kings, his two daughter settle roots in old town and Driffmark. Maybe as a way to pay for his misjudged by everyone. He legit never took the throne serious enough. Otto did all he did and later alicent join him because Daemon was a big BS caller on them. Daemon knew what they wanted, what otto ultimately wanted when he put his daughter in his brother’s bed. When he convince Viserys to name Rhaenrya officially his heir. That is why I love that he got fired by Aegon II and beheaded by Rhaenrya. I think out of all the girls he had Laena was the only wife he loved. Of his lovers nettles could have also. At least he grew attach to her during their last months share together during the war.

Let’s not jump to conclusions that they are cutting nettles from the show . It’s a trailer after all that is made up of different clips from different episodes of the show .

I mean, at the the time theywbere getting married, at least one if not both of their dads were still alive, so there wasnt any drama on the succession.

Just for the record, i know they were already married and i do talk about that in the start of the video. The idea for this video came from taking with some fans who had not read the book, and were asking this question given the show does not do a great job with the time line. The point i wanted to made with this video is even if they did somehow marry it came with its own set of problems that could still turn into a dance of the dragons like situation sooner or later.

Looks like the Daeron is bad luck for the Targaryans, Daeron the Daring - died in the Dance, Daeron the young dragon - unmarried and died in Dorne, Daeron the good - cause for the Blackfyre Rebellion, Daeron the drunken - died of pox, Rhaella lost a child named DAERON, wouldn't it be funny if Jon Snows name is Daeron and is fated to be a kinslayer

While King J was a competent king, he wasn’t a good father.

It's crazier when you read the books and Barristan Selmy implies that Daeron actually did get married to someone despite his heavily implied relationship with Ser Jeremy Norridge.

Olena would become queen no matter what. If the marriage to daeron completed. She would become the GOAT Queen.

Listen - I always thought it was weird that Rhaena spent so much time trying to hatch dragon eggs when there are already several full grown unclaimed dragons. She should have Silver Wing instead of Sheep Stealer.

I agree. Technically, the Blacks "won" because the Dance ended with one of theirs on the throne, but it was a pyrrhic victory. Nearly everyone on both sides ended up dead, and Aegon III was a sad, broken man. I guess if anyone won, it was Nettles, who got away from the whole ordeal and managed to keep her dragon.

He should just let chatGPT write it at this point. I'm so glad I never got invested in the books. Being as invested as I was in the show (and ALL the fan theories between seasons!) was already a waste of years of my life. I'd be super-pissed if I had sunk even MORE time into the book series knowing we will never get a real ending to the story, which for show watchers would be for the SECOND time. If GRRM was serious about finishing ASOIAF he'd have quit going off on tangents doing minor projects (and even finishing *whole other books* - ahem Fire & Blood) to get the last two books out years ago. His health is obviously poor, for whatever he's been doing with his wealth he hasn't used it to take care of his body. At the very least, he needed to get over his pride and ask for help, but he seems like the kind of man that is convinced nobody could possibly understand his thinking and insists if he doesn't write it, no one should. Sooo I'm done with the ASOIAF story. You can say it's GRRM's prerogative not to finish his series, but it's also my prerogative not to give his work any more of my time or money. At this rate, AI actually WILL finish the series for him before he ever gets around to it... if he even lives long enough.

I just realized something smart she did, she didn't just make jaehaery looks though things as the blacksmith, she made it known that eventually, the people would inevitably rise up, maybe not during Jaehaerys or his direct descendents reign but eventually a future king will be face that uprising, making known for a conquences to him as a King and his dynasty as well.

Pyp the mummer is also from the same place Arya goes while she is on the run-Acorn Hall. That story hits a bit different now once you realize that is Pyp. And his name-he is not the only character with a name that is still his name backwards. Alleras-Sarella. Nan. There are more...but these characters who have these type of names do/make crazy things for the storyline.
