- Alannys Harlaw is the mother of Theon and Asha Greyjoy as is one of the most compelling Ironborn characters given the trauma she suffered at the loss of two of her sons during the greyjoy rebellions. While she does not off much in the story as it moves forward what she does is give an insight into the past, and the backstory of the iron islands prior to the start of the main books. Her realtionship with her husband and daughter are both very interesting and i can see many parallels between her and Catlyn Stark

So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. The following link is for all the art that I use, if you see an image in this video a link to the source of it will be there, and the name of the artist if it's possible to find. If you see art in any video that has been attributed incorrectly please send me a email so i can fix it, i feel it is vitally important to credit artists, especially with the rise of Ai Art. Unfortunately mistakes do happen as work gets reposted without credit all the time making narrowing down the original source a challenge.

Have you ever thought about doing a video on the trial of Queen Margaery, and all the other characters implicated in her 'crimes'? I couldn't understand why it is so radically different in the TV version, until I realised that Martin was likely inspired by the trial of Queen Anne Boleyn and used it as a plot line and the actress who played Margaery, Natalie Dormer, had just played her in "The Tudors" so repeating the same scenes would make it awkward. That might be the reason, I'm not sure.
Your videos are like therapy for me! Just taught you should know.
What is dead may never die.🐙
I totally forgot all about Theon’s mom
Lady Smallwood ❤
You think tell something about Alannys harlaw in the show but no
Every time I remember all the $hit the Ironborn did, I felt the Westerlands really got lucky with geography, not having to suffer as much despite being one the closest neighbor.

I wish we had a few scenes with Alannys. It's lame that there aren't any notable Ironborn women in the story, apart from the one explicitly stated to be "acting like a man". Surely Ironborn women are different than women from the other kingdoms? Considering how different their culture is (thralls, men always away at sea, rock wife/salt wife hierarchy), I've always seen it as an unusually egregious gap in the worldbuilding.
1st to take the Black for House Blackfyre🗡 the fandom doesn't talk about it at least compared to other changes, but tv Ironborn didn't get much love either.
If you had taken the black like you were supposed to Bloodraven never wouldve had to.
@kiddbuu5178 Taking the Black for a false king?NEVER!!!!

For the algorithm
I like her as a character, but she wasn't necessary at all in the show.
