- The first act of the reign of King Aegon V Targaryen was going to be an important one. What to do with Brynden Rivers, Bloodraven, this dark hand of the king whom had shaped westeros from the shadows for decades. The issue Aegon had was Bloodraven while he did kill Aenys Blackfyre in a very dishonourable way, did after all remove another member of house blackfyre. The lords waited to see what kind of King, Aegon would become. And with that Bloodraven was sent to join the nights watch.

It's a calculated move. They sense a threat beyond the wall. So send the most effective two targaryns to Nights Watch to deal with it. It later becomes a blessing to Nights Watch and especially Bloodraven.

The "extinction" of the dragons was a good thing only because Bloodraven having one is petrifying.
Bloodraven on a dragon would have been absolutely unstoppable
If Blood Raven lived through Bran then he got his revenge as he became King and sent the Aegon the 6th the heir to the Wall
Please don't try to apply GoT's ending the real continuity that is the books. Bran might be King for ADOS but Jon's name will definitely not be Aegon. Weiss and Benioff are just dumb.
While I don’t agree with blood raven action. He did what was need even if it cost him his position. There are figures in Westeros who action may come into question but make sense in the longer run. 200 men to the nights watch thank you for supporting the wall Blood Raven you and the Raven’s teeth.
