I have inherited quite a few of two dollars bills. Mostly 1976 dated. My question is what can I get for a two dollar bill, uncirculated with the serial number as 00881100. I also have a few bills followed with that number. Example, 00881099 etc

Stupid store employees and a stupid cop. I know someone who had thousands in 2 dollar bills. He got them when the 2 dollar bill was reissued back in the late 70's.

I've faced that and had cops brought in or been turned away for Susan Bs, 2 Dollars, and Sacagawea's. Cops have been good sports and made the employee look like real stupid fools. Even used the store ATM, gone back because credit was either declined or machines down, and because they were too "crispy" I was denied service. Blows my mind how stupid people are and how much more stupid they always prove to be every time. You may think they can't lower the bar... they can lower the bar.

I had that problem within the past couple of years but it was not a two-dollar bill. I was trying to spend a small portrait pre 1995 $10 bill, but the young cashier had never seen a bill that old and kept refusing to take it. I finally took it to a bank to be inspected and then broken down into smaller bills.

$2 bills are most commonly used for tip money - it stands out because few carry them around anymore.

Just shows you how stupid the cops are. You're faulting the cashier but the cop arrested you and you have a suit for an unconstitutional arrest.

You don't have to put each bill in 1 at a time. You can put a whole stack of bills in the Walmart bill acceptor and it will pull each bill 1 at a time on its own automatically. It saves time. The Walmart self checkout also gives cash back if you use big bills. You won't get all change. I've gotten $97 back from a $100 bill after buying something worth $3 . 4 $20 bills, a $10 bill, a $5 bill and 2 $1 bills.

Why are people less informed now than before “the age of information”?

There's a guy in my neighborhood that installed a wishing well for his daughter in his front yard. Every time I walk by his house while taking my dog for a walk, I drop in a 50-cent piece or dollar coin. She gets really excited checking every week or two to see what is there. About every 3 months I go to the bank and buy about $20 in these coins. Worth it!

In the late 60s I as a teen worked at a convenience store and one time the local steel plant paid all workers in $2 bills so we took in a mass of them.

now try using a 1oz gold eagle with s face value of 50$ to purchase groceries and see if they accept it. or try a 1/10 ounce if you don’t want to risk losing lots of money

Back in day, in the US Navy, we always got paid in $2 bills to round off, since our pay was always in even numbers.
