- Use 2 dollar bills! That's the message of this video. Learn the top 7 benefits you get when getting $2 bills out of hiding and into circulation. They're not rare banknotes, and they're not made just for numismatics people or collectors. Spring them on cashiers at the cash register and see what happens. Get the full list in this fun video from the producer of The Two Dollar Bill Documentary.
Everybody treats these bills with respect. They are wonderful.

It's great to be apart of the 2 dollar movement, I love spending them in the city or spending them in small towns
Glad to hear that you use them and are committed to getting them out there. Were these 7 benefits on point? Or do you think I missed something?
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary I just love spending them as you stated in the video there great conversation starters, and great to put them into circulation both in the city (Chicago)or my small college town in Monmouth
I work as a bank teller. Yes, we get tons of $2 bills, but I’ve noticed that my coworkers don’t particularly like them at all. I’ve also noticed that the customers don’t like them either. They prefer having all $1 bills as opposed to a few $2 bills. So my coworkers don’t like them because they can’t get rid of them, so they always end up in the bank vault, ready to be shipped out. I have always liked the $2 bills and from working as a teller I can confirm that the customers simply don’t want them most of the time, even when I try to put them back into circulation. My question here is why do customers not like them? Why do they prefer having 4 $1 bills as opposed to just 2 $2 bills? Thanks, I hope this question gets a video 😁
Thanks for the comment. I don't think this question can be turned into a video because I can't speak definitively for people about why they prefer one bill or another. What I can say here is that people continue to believe that $2 bills are rare, worth more, or won't be accepted elsewhere. There's more of a comfort zone in using a widely-known bill like the $1. It's also habitual - if you don't use $2s ever, you won't prefer them. Hopefully the videos on this channel will educate people enough to realize why $2s are great to use, starting with this video! You can help by sharing the video around. Thanks!
I’m a currency collector and I believe that the two dollar bill is the best bill
Great to hear! So I hope you're a subscriber and have seen a lot of the videos on this channel - especially the full documentary on $2 bills. Appreciate the comment.
I'm too bro @gee dub
Interesting video. Unique take on using $2 bills - the 7 C's. My favorite is "Cool". Using $2 bills is cool. Of course in these days of COVID 19 I can't remember the last time I used a bill of ANY denomination. Cool addition to the $2 Bill videos. I look forward to these videos. I hope you don't run out of ideas.
Ideas are welcome! But I have a few ready to go. Probably not enough to stay with a weekly video, but I might go off topic some and do more things with novelties LIKE the $2 bill. It'll be a channel for quirky, seemingly-rare objects. And I'll always tie in the $2 somehow
I would use $2 bills and gold $1 coins if 16-year-old cashiers knew that they're real currency.
Aqui no Brazil usamos notas de 2,00 e moedas de 1,00 é horrivel muito incoveniente usar moedas de 1,00 sempre as guardamos nos cofres e falta troco constante no comércio
The dollar doesn’t get you anymore. Dollar tree be like what about me? Haha..... no, I like $2 bills ... I payed in $2 bills and 50 cent pieces before..... I.... maybe I should do the same thing with half dollars lol
I tip bartenders with brand new crisp $2 bills at the airport lounges whenever, wherever I fly. They always tell me that it's lucky and that they won't spend it. I'm just happy to make their day with a small gesture as tipping with a $2 bill.
That's awesome. The power of the $2 bill.
I'm always so happy when I see a new video from this channel in my feed!
Thanks for your interest and support! Try getting to a premiere if you can. Usually Thursday around 4pm eastern. Then you can participate in the Live Chat as well.
Great Video!! 👍👍👍 Thanks!!! i need a job that pays more than $3,900 a month and more time on my hands...
That is an interesting video. I would love to see someone pay with a $2 bill where I work. Just so I can see the confusion on the kids' faces.
Set someone up to come in with and use a $2 bill. Have cameras ready!
i confuse lots of kids where i spend my $2.00's! i drive up to the teller tube, drop a $50.00 and $20.00 and ask for $2.00 and dollar coins... tellers are super happy to trade or clear their cash tray of $2.00's and dollar coins!! The sad part, not ALL vending machines are capable of $2.00's they are antiquated quarter, dollar bill and dollar coin machines. $2.00's aren't popular enough to upgrade. 😩😩😩😩😭😭😭😭
The $2 bill is the only note that came back after being discontinued. The $1 bill went from being a silver certificate in 1957 to a Federal Reserve note in 1963.
The bartender will always remember you when you tip in 2 dollar bills.
Yup. I'm working on a video focused on bartenders and $2 bill tips.
About 12 years ago or so, I went on vacation driving thru Washington state to the Dakotas and many other states in between. At the time, I had brought a bunch of the new Presidential dollar coins and used them randomly to purchase small items or as tips. One place (as in your "confusion" clip) wasn't sure if they would accept them. They did after I showed them that they were, indeed, US currency.
I am about to go on another multi-state trip and recently went to bank to get a strap of $2.00 bills (in sequential order even). I had been debating on using the two's as tips or for small purchases or getting more Presidential dollar coins.
After seeing this video, I think I'll have to go back and get another strap or two of the two dollar bills.
Definitely get more! Maybe take some pictures or videos of where you used them or what the reaction was. Maybe I'll use them in a future video, or if nothing else, I'd just like to know what happened! Reactions are the best part of using twos.
Another great video! Thanks again from Poland! 💋🇵🇱💋🇵🇱
Thank you Patrick! Glad to see you watching everything. Really appreciate it.
i love the two dollar bills. they’re pretty snazzy.
Yes they are! Thanks for watching (and hopefully, being a subscriber)
I use almost exclusively 2 dollar bills and dollar coins.
Outstanding! Please look for a video on this channel launching January 1 where I ask for people to submit a video of their $2s for new piece I'll premiere on 2-22-22. For someone like yourself who uses them and doesn't just stash them somewhere, I'd also love to talk to you for another video about people who use them all the time. If you're up for doing a video interview I can record and use, please contact me at john@2dollarbillmovie.com
So this is the video you were talking about.
Good video!
Thanks! And thanks for always watching new stuff I post. :)
I mean there are still uses for 1 dollar bills, if you were to pay for a steak for 17.39, you would likely use a 10, a 5, a 2, and a 1
"If you ain't using $2's you ain't cool😎"
Can you film more of your own use of buying things using $2's mixed with other denominations just like in this video thanks for your videos they are very well put together
Thanks John. Will try to do more of what you're asking for. Gotta do them all with hidden cameras and logistics are a little tougher with contactless payments required at some places. But those are the most fun, so I'm definitely eager to do more of them.
I learned they were made for use at the race track to bet on the horses -- the $2 window !
I wouldn't say that's WHY they were made, but they were used a lot for that purpose. In fact, doing so could often be a cause of bad luck. It's explained as part of this video: czcams.com/video/lUXhwYvvXK8/video.html
Where can I find uncirculated 2 dollars
At the bank. czcams.com/video/IKj7bxstnMY/video.html If that doesn't work, you can get them on eBay, although you'll pay a markup for them. czcams.com/video/Nz85Q-8UNrQ/video.html
Like talking to people is a plus
Nowadays, it is!
Should've done top 2 reasons
Why? There were 7.
I have 56 2 dollar bills
2 stayed here
I’m not spending my only two dollar bill
Maybe go to the bank and get more and spend those?
That my room
That explains why it said "Liam" on the wall!
Yet
They should but jfk on a banknote
Next vid suggestion:buying 2000$ with 2$ bills
It's a good idea. The bank won't have it and they'll say they have to order them. I'll have to go back in a week and pick them up. Not very exciting, but you'd watch, right?
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary yea lol
How are you supposed to get a 2 dollar bill to spend of no one ever uses them?
There are these things called banks. Go to one. If they don't have them, they can order them.
I feel like $2 dollar bills are ironically popular because they aren’t very popular. That isn’t to say they are really cool! 😎
You're exactly right. Their appeal is because they are supposedly rare or not often used. Definitely cool! Thanks for the comment.
I don't get why they aren't used ? Especially people who take tips, that huge wad of $1 bills is annoying and takes forever to count. There's a reason Canada use $2 coins.
Agreed! This channel tries to educate people about twos with the hopes that more people will start using them.

the dollar coin , is also trash !
