For the most part agree. But back to the cost which is the main point of the video......the price alone for 1-2 people is why my bf and I only eat out once EVERY OTHER weekend. We both make in the 75k-90k range EACH and childfree but regular groceries prices alone has us fighting for our lives lol.

LOL, easier said than done. I did not "stop", but eat out once in a while. Eating at fast foods 3x a week , every week is just financial lunacy. I find it perplexing why people go to In N Out, wait one hour in their cars to pay $25 for a combo.

Fr I walked in on my fast food chain and rodent dookie was all over the floors, shelves and tables we make food on. I told my sister to not eat at that little ceasars anymore because of their rat infestation. I haven't seen that since it happened but it's sad how rat infestations are swept under the rug.
Honestly, just go to the grocery store and start making your own hamburgers and chicken sandwiches at this point.

My mother in law worked full time with 9 kids no husband, and had a home cooked dinner every night. A lot of good crock pot meals. Burgers on the grill. Grilled cheese, chili, soups, casseroles. Nothing time consuming.

Grocery prices have been stable for at least a year. I know because I go all the time.
I joke with store staff that prices seem to change by the hour and they agree. Prices are going up by dollars. There are some social media accounts documenting this radical change. I'm taking pictures myself to show how dramatic grocery store prices are changing in this terrible economy.
I keep seeing all these videos of people crying about the prices yet people are lined up around the building so I don't feel sorry for them. The best thing people could do is STOP going to these places

@@kenofken9458 same. People complain they don’t have money but they’ll use credit cards and pay interest to buy hundreds on coffee a month. Or whatever it is their screens tell them to buy. My husband noticed how silly it was on the coffee thing, but then later an ad for some cheap pizza crossed his screen and an hour later he was buying the pizza. It’s also weird cause cheap pizza always upsets his stomach.
People are spoiled nowadays. Just stop going to places don’t deserve our hard earned money. Especially fast food, so unhealthy.
$9.00 for a Bowl of soup! I just made a big pot of soup for 3 bucks and much tastier and easy to make. Will freeze half and enjoy the rest.

@@dublindog8038 A Costco roasted chicken is $6.00 You can make it the main course for two people for 3 meals. Take the leftover whole chicken and boil it with some veggies and noodles and make soup for a week.
@@user-vx7vi3vq1c I've actually done this and it wouldn't make that much soup. The issue being is the chicken is already cooked so it doesn't give much flavor to the boiled broth. Even a small pot you are forced to add chicken bouillon cubes to it. So it couldn't make a large enough pot for a week as you say.
@@SiXiam I’ve done it many times. Add carrots, celery and onion and bullion…Salt and pepper and some noodles. It’s makes about 6 quarts.

I’m in Hawaii and Burger King whopper meal costs $18.79.
I moved here 4 years ago and as soon as I saw that at drive through I got out the line and drove straight to pho restaurant. Bowl of pho costs 13.99.
I rarely eat fast food but ever since I moved here I completely stopped. Not worth it.

The local burger place near me serves a gourmet burger with chips or fries and a choice of beer or soft drink for less than $15. It's also all locally sourced. If you were to go to McDonald's it would be more expensive and garbage quality.

Why did they show in-N-out so much?? I wish all of the fast food options were like them. Their prices are actually pretty decent and the food is WAY better than any of the other fast food burger spots

The prices are too high for me. When I visit McDonald’s, I always check the app for deals. If there are no deals available for what I want, I usually don’t place an order.

We are paying for sitting at home quivering for years during the pandemic, forgiving student loans, paying for welfare and illegals, having endless wars, giving money to other countries, and being frivolous in general with our budget as a country.
I mean...what a coincidence would it be that when we print tons of money all the corporations in all sectors magically colluded to raise prices to gouge you??? And! I can buy 2.5 pounds of ground beef and package of hamburger buns from the grocery store for about $12. This is enough for 8 medium burgers.
Or, I can go to a fast food joint and pay about $50 to $65 for the same thing. Fast food places are now costing about the same or higher as sit-down restaurants.

That’s just not realistic. When you’re out working and forgot your lunch or whatever, McDonald’s is there it’s convenient at least you won’t be famished till the end of the work day.

Its cheaper to eat at home. 10 dollars worth of burgers at home lasts me for dinner two days, sometimes three.

Went to A & W in my southern Ontario town. Two burgers, two small fries and two root beers set me back over $45. I won't be back. A restaurant in my town is now charging $17 for a burger. I think it's called greed.

When you buy something, you are telling the business, your prices are fine.

CEO get paid high cause they're running a business with knowledge and work experiences that burger flippers don't have. Running a billion dollars company is not an easy feat. Try one yourself

I saw an ad for Denny's for a $5.99 original gland slam breakfast. Pretty good, but right at the end of the commercial it says very quickly "Some locations may charge $7.99" well I bet you 99% of Denny's are offering it at $7.99.

Have not eaten fast food in 3 years, last time it was so bad I could not finish it. Before this price hike quality was down, during covid, and prices were climbing. I do business with a few locally owned places about every 2 months and mostly eat at home. I want my money to stay in my community, not in a CEO's or corporation out of the country bank, plus I want to stay healthy, a win win for me.

The Panera i go to the soup is $6.00 with a drink and bread chunk. I used to go 2X a week. since then i eat at home.

Corporate is making money because they have exclusive rights for food supply and for food prep machines. Stores are squeezed be corporate, Gavin Newsom, and inflation.
People just never went back to eating fast food the same as before covid. It ruined so much.
My 24 hour Walmart still closes at midnight.
Companies complain about labor cost going up but prices were still going up even when labor cost were not. Most of those extra cost are going to ceo bonuses and share holders.

Even the stuff u buy at groceries is high ..I used to buy steak, chicken breast, etc at a butcher shop for 60 bucks, now the exact same thing is now 120. dollars after potato entered the WH
Groceries are definitely more expensive now. Personally I'm more upset about that. I actually HAVE TO buy groceries.
