Still not watching season 3..

i one million percent agree, i've seen people bring up some of these points on tik tok i think, or maybe other videos (i forget it was from like a year ago now lmao) and when the finale happened so many people were upset that natalie died and i wasn't that upset about it, like i was sad the character was gone but i immediately knew it couldn't have JUST been that the actress wanted to leave the show...i mean everyone on the show loves it and appreciates how much thought goes into it, and rewriting the entire thing cause one of the main actors wanted to leave randomly seems stupid...but the writers/creators have had the whole story planned for years now, at least the outlines of what will happen in each season, and i wouldn't be surprised at all if they had very specific ideas on certain details or scenes they wanted to include (i am starting to write tv and i am this way, and just the way yellowjackets is and how in depth everything is i can't imagine they ONLY have in their minds a rough outline and not anything more, even if it's a few scenes...like if they imagined shauna having her baby and then waking up and realizing he's stillborn or with them knowing he would die, shauna beating the shit outta lottie lol, or i figure they knew the cabin would burn down stuff like that ya know)

I just finished watching this a few days ago, and it does feel like the 21st century, with its digital and virtual spaces, requires a reworking of the classic fictional detective. Darby Hart is a great character, and the idea of a detective who can navigate these new non-physical spaces is both great, and not without precedent! Nero Wolf almost never left his brownstone, sending Archie Goodwin and his perfect memory out into the world to wrangle data for him. A virtual detective (or detective team) doing this in 21st century digital/virtual spaces would definitely work. That said, I'm meh on the big ending. The process is good, though, and Darby is a great character.

Yellowjackets rewards attentive viewers SO much, and it has such an amazing rewatch value due to constant re-contextualization and foreshadowing. Everything is a very deliberate choice, whether it be the costumes, the set designs, the soundtracks, etc etc. For instance, the antler queen's "costume" includes jewelry which resembles tear drops, and Nat wore the exact same jewelry during Doomcoming. She also wore a crown, like Lottie and nobody else, except her branches were smaller. Still growing.

started Yellowjackets yesterday morning, just finished it. The second i saw Lonnie i clocked her as a psychic. I just read an article that said S3 is currently in production! We'll probably have it either end of this year or start of next year cause of the writer's strikes. I'm desperate to know who pit girl is!!! I think it might be Mari, but why would Mari have Jackie's necklace? I doubt that Shauna would have given it to her. Also I didn't clock Nat as the antler queen, I thought it would be Shauna...

the syfy tv show van helsing, where vanessa aka van, was a pretty cool show. they had a few lgbt characters, including some of their leads. not sure if it is still on netflix to watch but the 1st two seasons r on tubi. the other seasons wont drop til later this year or next

Wow I rewatched this review because I'm working on a video about Yorgos Lanthimos' filmmaking and wow, this was rough. I can happily say my videos have improved SO much since 2017. But after rewatching Sacred Deer, I still don't like it, haha. The Lobster was ok, but I loved Poor Things and The Favorite.

This was a great start to the new season. Especially since I haven't had new episodes to watch since SNW ended its second season last year. I don't watch Lower Decks for personal reasons due to the plotline between Tendi and Rutherford in the season 2 premiere. So I had a long wait for this premiere. I love Rayner. He was one of my favourite parts. But I love the interpersonal stuff with Stamets and Culber, Burnham and Book, and Saru and T'Rina. Speaking of T'Rina it's taken me this long to realize that if she were Human, her name would be Trina. If she were Human. Lol.

Kovich will merge them with flies if they're not careful...
